    thank you. I didn't need to replace the arm but I needed to remove it. Wasn't sure if there were other parts to disconnect and your video showed me there wasn't. Thanks again.

    I’ve had so many problems with my LG dishwasher and finally thought it was finally done with repairs and now the plastic piece on the spray arms are about to break off. I had to reattach the plastic cover which is on 2 of the blades and it’s just a matter of time before I have to buy yet another part. I think they made this to fail. Also now I’m having an annoying loud whistling noise while the dishwasher is on. It’s leaving some of the dishes dirty. Thank you for this video! I appreciate it!

      That is unfortunate to hear. Of course not knowing the exact problem of your dishwasher there is not much we can offer you. There are models with (partially) metal arm blades, which have extended lifetime, but that is of no help for you now. Proper maintenance, including sometimes running a high temp program with an empty dishwasher helps to remove limescale and other debris and perhaps will reduce the whistling too.

      Yes, I had a look at that plastic end piece and I don't like it one bit. Mine came off and it was not easy to reattach without risking breakage of the flimsy bit that holds it on. Very disappointed in this Mickey Mouse effort by LG. A great shame really because otherwise it does a good job. When this one dies, and I suspect it will be soon, I'll be looking elsewhere. LG has been my go-to supplier, but things do change and it looks like that time has come.

      @kidchuckle did you find a solution for this? The arm on mine is falling off and I just reattach it after every cycle 😬

    What are those two screws that hold in the arm? If I buy a replacement arm will the screws come with it? I've misplaced mine

      No, the replacement arm does not come with screws. Either use the old screws or look for similar size, stainless steel, screws.

    The silver part of this arm....is that steam or should water come out of there? My dishwasher has not been rinsing well. Trying to figure out if it is this arm or not.

      The silver part is indeed a part of the arm where Steam comes through. Quick question back, how do you know that it is the rinsing part that is bad?

      I don't think you can, the size (and weight) of the arms is different.

    on mine, the rubber boot under that lower spray arm keeps lifting, stopping the arm from turning. it pushes down, but water pressure (?) keeps popping it back up. bloody annoying. was thinking of just ripping it off.

      Hello David, not sure about your arm's system, but indeed, in general water pressure helps to pop up the rotation system of the spray arm. you may want to seek advise from a technician.

      @@LGSAE its exactly that as shown in the video. its the rubber boot seen at 42 seconds that keeps jumping up, which stops the arm rotating.

      Yeah, the rubber boot thingy........... a very Mickey Mouse effort by LG that makes me wonder who is steering the boat. That boot is the connection between the pump and the upper spray arms. If it pops out, water does not get up there. The boot is sort of held inplace by a small metal clip that rests on a shoulder cast into the boot. That shoulder shears-off with time and the whole thing come apart. I can find nothing in LG's site that addresses the problem. I made a larger SSteel tab that extends over the boot. You will need to shape the tap with a bit of contouriing so that it does not compress the boot significantly. Note that the boot needs to be coaxed into place......... not a very elegant piece of work. The boot would be easy to replace if the part is available.

    Where do I get the replacement part?

    • @LGSAE
      @LGSAE  5 месяцев назад

      Check your local LG website and look up the suppor section. It shouldcontain a sectuion about spare parts. LG has selected official spare parts suppliers. But it may be wise to first checkwhat the part number is by contacting your local LG support desk.

      @@LGSAE I already ordered it from Amazon but $88 is ridiculously expensive for a piece of plastic. In reality I only needed one piece from it but nobody sells it. You need to get the whole piece.
