Dude! This is wicked. I love EVOs, these cars have always impressed me. Great ride.
JDM bumper would be nice… What did you use to blackout your front emblem?
I believe the previous owner removed the front badge and put a black one on in it's place. The plastic is gloss black
So update, I actually went to remove the black emblem today and noticed it was just a black decal. Whoever installed it, took their time and tucked the edges into the emblem bordering. Literally looked like just a black emblem haha. My front emblem is back to silver now tho!
2.4 is my favorite but local shops seem to struggle with the timing and water pump adapter on mine. I'm going down to a 2.2 next time just to keep things simpler and easier to return to stock for smog.
Really fun setup though, always ready to light up all 4 wheels, never bogs.
I've heard a 2003 Outlander water pump is a direct swap over to the 2.4 block. My setup is actually using the MAPerformance water pump plate. And the timing is confusing. You can use a 4G64 belt and the timing marks are supposed to line up perfectly, but if you use a 4G63 belt the marks are off a tooth on both sides. My setup is with the Evo 9 belt and the marks line up perfectly, but I have an adjustable exhaust cam gear and had to (R word, RUclips will ban me if I use the actual word) 2.75 degrees to get the cam gear dimple lined up perfectly with the valve cover mark
