Big SHOUT OUT TO DEB!!!...MR . MOM coming to you from the WestSide Califas...this was part of my Sunday dinner ...👍👍...it's 🔥..👍...family ❤️ it !! .. Gracias
You are the first internet personality to make carne guisada that I have seen!! This was a staple in our house growing up and I've kept the tradition going on my own home. So thrilled to see someone else cooking this delicious dish. - Happy Texican!
It's so good! It was the result of research after a subscriber requested it. My passion is cooking, so I did my homework and this recipe was the result. My Mamma made a similar recipe that I loved growing up but never got her recipe, until now, this is close! Enjoy!
@@In_DebsKitchen this is so awesome! My recipe is a little different (like everyone) due to being more Tex-Mex. But still the heart and core of the recipe is the same!
Hi Gamester’s 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….
I am so excited about this, Deb! We are from San Antonio and Carne Guisada was our favorite ! When we moved to Arizona, they don't know what this is. They serve Carne Asada and it is totally different. Can't wait to make this and surprise my husband. Thank you! And I have been praying for your husband. God bless you both, and your family.
just like my old gram, gram, years ago put her know how in the old cast skillet, and yes I did even see this young lady like my gram, gram I know one ingredient she put in there, but I could see it in her eyes and face the secret ingredient is this secret but you can feel it it is ""LOVE"".
Happy I found you Deb...finally a cook with no fake nails or false eyelashes. My Carne Guisada never turns out as good as yours looks. I think it may be how the meat is sliced. I picked up a few tips in this video & your enchilada recipe. We always have enchiladas for New Yrs Eve supper. I learned I've been too stingy with my sauce when I dip the tortillas. I like my enchilada meat ground quite fine so sometimes I process it a little after it cooks & cools down. The lettuce is a curve ball, but i will certainly try it. Thanks for your entertaining style and great love for cooking. Wish I had a neighbor like you.
Why, Thank you for the compliment! 😊 I just try to keep it real in my kitchen and for the enchiladas it usually does throw people off bit once its cooked in you can't really tell. Let me know how it works out for you!
You are great...Love your recipes and making it easy. I have a Texas husband and when I make your dishes he's so happy. Its like his mom is with hi. Thank u so much for taking time to share your knowledge..

wow deb i just watched your millenial lifehack video on spanish rice. thats so amazing. i always wondered why that stuff was always mushy, now i know thanks! all this time i just boil in water and end up rehydrating it for future servings with mediterranean oil and soy sauce for my vegetables. And tomatos was your secret ingredient lol.
@@In_DebsKitchen you really did change my way of cooking. today i just emptied noodles into my cast iron skillet with tomato sauce and other stuff. stewing a stew was a lot tastier than a big ol pot of white rice.
Just made this for my family with your instant pot rice and it was SO GOOD! It had a bunch of flavor and even though i simmered it for less time (got started late) the meat was still very tender. Great Recipe!
This looks so good! I've heard you say in several videos that you don't care much for cumin. That is way up there at the top of my list of favorite spices. YUM! =)
We all have our individual preferences, my sister can't stand fresh onion or garlic and if it's discernible in a dish she picks it out!😄 I like a hint of it because it's a traditional spice used in so many Mexican dishes, for me it can easily overpower a dish. The good think about homemade dishes is we can season to our individual preferences,.😉
Hi Deb. New subscriber. Your dish looks amazing and delicious. I see in a lot of your videos that you use a cast iron skillet. I recently bought some off Amazon and they are the expensive lodge brand and they look like they were pre-seasoned and I believe it said that they were and I even added more oil and tried to season myself because they were sticking. I have never had luck with a cast iron skillet from not sticking. What is the trick?
Welcome to Debs kitchen! As for cast iron which I love e, especially scornbread, once seasoned only wash with water . I use course salt and a steel scrub pad to get the food off. The I put it on stove tip until dry about 5 minutes , turn it off spray with canister Pam or other non stick oil and rub off good with paper towels...work for me!
Oh my goodness 😇yes✅ plz 🤗👀😍🥰
I love this dish, and I love you. You are a straight shooter, no nonsense lady, and you have the best personality ever. Thank you 😊
Why thank you for your kind words, I hope you try some of the recipes and give your input.

Mmmmm , when's dinner
It's surprisingly easy to make ,especially if you use the pre cut stew meat, most butcher cases have e it. You could also use fajita meat.

Love this recipe. A definite will try. Did you add more hot chili powder?
No, but if you like it more spicy feel free to. I also like adding a diced jalapeño sometimes to give it that extra kick.
better make a room for me cause I'm moving in
Hi from arizona
Where can your cast iron pan
It's a pioneer woman pan that I got at Walmart but you could probably find it online.
