  • This is a recipe for pork lovers
If this is something you not into
    Please refrain from negative comments
This definitely is an acquired taste
I grew up eating this with collard greens or cabbage.
It’s excellent with hot sauce and cornbread
    Very simple recipe
    RECIPE:
2# pork bones (washed and cleaned)
    2 quarts water
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 cup white vinegar
1 head of green cabbage sliced
Place all items in large pot
Simmer on low for 2-3 hours until nice and tender
slowly add sliced cabbage and simmer another 15-20 minutes
i like my cabbage very very tender(no crunchy)
cook the cabbage to your taste and desire
i eat mine with cornbread ,hot sauce and pepper sauce

Chef!! You brought out the homemade pickled vegetables. This is something both my grandma Dot (Dorothy Wise) and Great-Grandmother Irene Wise would have made and Grandma Dot always kept tabasco sauce and pickled peppers on the table on top of the washing machine. Grandma Dot grew those peppers in her garden out back of a small but tidy nice home. My great-grandmother Irene Wise used to beat a cake batter by hand! No mixers at all.

I've put country style back bone ribs in it also. Same thing, just a different piece of pork. Us white folks cook like this to 😁 I've made this and it is good. Your wife I know has to love you cooking. Looks like you were taught by a good lady. Nothing like southern cooking. I'd come get a plate if I was near lol Maybe you need to open a restaurant, I'm sure you'd get good business. 🙏🇺🇸
