In South Africa we call these thicker crepes pancakes. What Americans call pancakes, we call flap jacks.
When we make these and take it out of the pan, we sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, stack on top of each other and keep in a container with a lid so the sugar melts and becomes syrupy. When the last one is done, we roll them up and eat it. It's called Pannekoek (pronounced - pun-a-cook) in Afrikaans. We also do them a tiny bit thicker with savoury fillings. Your mushroom filling looks absolutely mouthwatering! Thank you 😊😊

Meat doesn't make u fat. Carbs do. And meat of animals fed on carbs that end up full of saturated fat. Meat makes u strong

Same. I'm not a mushroom fan but this recipe looks absolutely delicious. I bet it smells and tastes amazing. The mushrooms look like chicken after they have been cooked and sauced which would probably be a hit with non vegans too. Also I bet that mushroom mix would be excellent on top of or mixed in pasta as well.

I did it today and that creamy mushroom was amazing even I didn’t put in brandy but subbed with balsamic glaze instead. I didn’t have buckwheat flour so I used just all purpose one. Still turned out pretty okay-ish lol. Thank you so much Gaz! You‘re genious! Have a great day 😊

I am delighted that I happened to watch a Pick Up Limes video and discovered you. Your food all looks AMAZING! I live in Uzbekistan where many of the ingredients you use aren't available, but I will be in the UK in October so am planning on buying the book and all sorts of the ingredients you use. I would love it if you developed some oil-free dishes for your repertoire. But your emphasis on flavor is so welcome. I too love big flavors. Thanks for sharing on RUclips and good luck with the restaurant, though it will be sad for us because you will be too busy to film! Plus, please stay sweet and humble; that's a big part of your appeal.
This dish is absolutely delicious !! I love this so much and you can put the mushroom sauce on rice or quinoa or anything because there is so much flavor in it. I made my own cream out of cashews and it was perfect 👌 my super picky husband and step son even liked it and said it tasted like chicken. I also used red wine vinegar instead because I don’t have any alcohol in my home. Thank you for such a great meal❤️

Hey Gaz! What does adding milk and baking powder do to your crepe batter? In France we just use buckwheat flour, water and salt and it makes savoury crepes that look like you..

Yum! These were SO GOOD! I replaced the asparagus with chopped Cavolo Nero and only used chestnut mushrooms and it still worked perfectly! I will be making again and again!

Since I can’t eat asparagus, I added some chopped haricot vertes instead plus a light splash of vegan Worcestershire sauce. Similar crunch and pairs well with the mushrooms. Still have to work on my crepe turning skills, but you’ve inspired me to keep trying. 😊
