Mens Chinos: From Military Wear to Fashion Staple

- It seems like there are 3 types of me. Wears jeans every day. Wears chinos every day. And then a 3rd less common type who's big into menswear and wears a range of trousers.
We've started to cover jeans, great trousers for pretty much every day and ones that will get the job done.
But what about chinos? They seem just as versatile, maybe a little more exciting than jeans. But what is a chino what should you look for, what brands make ones worth investing in and how should you wear them! All questions I want to begin to answer over the next few weeks beginning with today, with the history of the chinos and what brands I considered across a range of price points. And what you may want to consider before getting a new pair.

Detailed and informative content. Keep them coming. Kudos 👍
Thank you, truly Appreciated. Look forward to making more content!
Good video. Currently looking at casatlantic and rubato chinos. Rubato's seem especially similar to the ones mentioned in the video and made with japanese cloth too.
Good choices! I own Casa and a few things from Rubato, though not the chinos. They're both quite different, Rubato and Informale are a bit more similar as you've said. That review will be out later this week! And Casa over the coming weeks.
Good article. Helps a lot.
Anderw! Always a pleasure to hear your feedback, and your support. Thanks mate.
Nice work! More videos on menswear please .
Thank you! More to come :)
This is great info! I want some new chinos. I have 3 pairs I got at a banana republic outlet like 10 years ago. Straight fit, and decent look. They just keep going, not sure how! More just bored of them lol
Thank you! So nice to hear, really apprecaited. Chinos are a staple, especially quality ones! Those old BR ones were absolutely amazing! Built to last a lifetime! I get you, the boredom thing is hard! Maybe look at something a bit more chino adjacent? Some adjusters or some interesting fabric? Add that to the mix. But keep those BR ones til they're dust! haha.
@@jessupsays that’s a good idea! Some Gurkha style trousers could be a good unique pant to have.
I did not know the Real McCoys made a chino. And those armory ones look awesome. Permanent Style has a good article on a bear up pair of his.
Exactly!! Explore the options! Be creative!
Does informale ships worldwide??
They do indeed!
