Appreciate all the hard work you put in. Looking forward to the performance chino/pant video. all the pants really suit you. Look custom. None of them look too flappy/wide at the bottom.
Dude, you put together GREAT videos. Thank you for the work 🤘🏼
Most of all, THANK YOU for not selling out and going sponsored.
Just bought my first Bonobos order on your recommendations (chinos and button down shirt) Really impressed on first impressions with the cut/fit and quality at that price. Very clean cut. In the right spot of looking nice for your form without being too slim as well as not being baggy in spots. Really happy with my purchase
you read my mind with this video, I've been wanting advice on these for a while. Love the channel, keep it up!
The amount of depth and brands in your videos is awesome man! Thank you for your information!
This is the video I've been looking for! Great info! Great honorable mentions. I know Uniqlo has in-store alterations, but had no idea about the others.
U og my man
Ive seen tons of channels but boy u r different n stand out
Ur contents reflect ur dedication time n effort
Take ur time but release worthy content as always
Salute!!
Kavalier always!!
your contents are always very thorough and complete!
Your video came up on my recommend list, first time viewer, great review and I’ve subbed. Thanks for the effort you have put in
WORTH THE WAIT!
Wow sr I most say your videos are very good and specific. Love it ! Thanks! Buying my chinos now with confidence.
This man goes above and beyond every time! Great vid!
Really glad this video finally came out and that you finally tried something from Buck Mason. I personally am a big fan of Banana Republic’s Rapid Movement chinos (have 6 different colors).
Great, thorough video. Many thanks for all the work you put into it. You certainly stand out among the other men "stylists". Cheers!
This was an excellent video. There was a wide variety of chinos and a decent amount of detail about each. Thank you, this was very helpful.
This is why I stay subbed. You do such excellent research!
Great video as always, ton of information but really easy to digest. I know these giant roundups (sneakers was good too) must be a lot of work, and putting the collection together isn't cheap either, but its a great format.
Chinos have become my go-to, I wear them more than jeans now. I wear a suit for work and usually stick to full suits in the fall/winter, but for summer dress code chinos are my go too: cooler, more comfortable, and easier to clean especially when you sweat in them.
I have a bunch from Uniqlo, I live in Japan so they are right around the corner, go on sale a lot, and always have free alterations in store (which is key for me because I wear ~29in length which is tough to find).
This is great! Really appreciate the honesty. For a future video (not sure if you've done this already), I would love to see a video on button down Oxford shirts.
Thanks for recommending bonobos. I went to their guide shop on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. These chinos look tailored OTR soooo good. My life has been changed! 😂 picked up 5 pairs of chino pants and 2 pair of their chino shorts. Thanks again.
This video was just what I needed. My first and only pair of chinos (Dockers) just wore out so I am ready to get more (and step it up to something that lasts).
Thank you for your work 👍
Thank you for informing me of Bonobos.
Their Stretch Washed Chino 2.0, and the Tech Short Sleeve shirts are a win for me.
The Bonobos Riviera short sleeve shirt is a step down.
You have helped me to discover that dressing nicer does not need to be uncomfortable or painful.
Thanks for more great content, Jon! Looking forward to the Tech Chino roundup. My Lululemon ABC’s are a little worn, so I’m looking for some replacements. Thinking the Rhône Commuters are the front runners...for now.
Absolutely fantastic video! Exactly what I wanted to learn about... Wow Jon you killed it with this one.
great video, I appreciate the depth and breadth of the coverage!
Awesome video and very informative. As a man who consistently pays the short-men tax, Uniqlo is a real winner for me. When they go on discount ($30, happen pretty often), they still shorten them for free (standard hem, +$5 for invisible hem). Sure, they aren't top quality but value-price ratio works for me!
Great work here! I definitely need to expand my chino collection!
Great Video! I started looking at my current chinos after watching the video! I may pick up some recommendations!
This is incredible content , thanks man!
Thanks for doing this video! Much needed 👍
Thanks for this amazing video Jon!
I am a girl and I LOVE your videos 👍🏻 your style is so put together starting with hair, skin, speach and clothes maaan keep up the good work!!
Love when a women recognize and compliment thats not too common respect to you young lady
Thank you for the video. My go to brands are banana and gap. I live in chinos more so than jeans. Classic plain front in slim fit for me. Will order Bonobos based on your review
This is brilliant. Thank you so much for providing such an informative study. I basically live my life in chinos (mostly Banana Republic), and I found this super helpful. I think the Asket looks the best overall, but those Bonobos really make your bum look amazing. Because you like a slimmer cut, we often see lines beneath; it would be helpful if you said which style of underwear you are wearing (you don’t have to show them although I’m sure it would up the view count.. lol) but it would help yo know if visible lines are underwear lines, pocket lines or shirttail as some of those may be eliminate based upon what we wear. Thank you, again. Fantastic job.
very informative, love it!
Awesome stuff. Thanks for the advice.
Great vid man. Like the time stamps
GREAT vid, thanks so much for covering all these. My new chino purchase road map is much easier now.
That’s why I do it! 👊🏻👊🏻
This was a fantastic well researched video and I found it very useful (the other style guy Tanner what’s his name always goes on about your tribe and archetype not sure what that means!) keep up the good work 👍
thank you for this, great stuff!
thank you so much, that is sure a lot of hard work!, you're very helpful, thanks again
Great video! Keep them up!
This is great! I'm gonna do: Jomers, Bonobos, and Bespoke. Woodies next winter.
This is hard work. Good video!!
That was a great upload.
Over the years, I’ve tried Dockers, JCP, and a few other brands for chinos, never kept em. BR was so close for me, but BONOBOS 😳🤯 So comfy!
Great video! I'm a chino guy myself, and this video is very helpful. Looking forward to more videos from you in the whole business casual space. Good luck!
As a tall (6'3) guy with skinny legs I had always been hesitant buying 'slim fit' 'skinny fit' 'tapered' pants thinking it'd exacerbate the issue and making me look worse but it turns out it's paradoxically best to buy snug fitting pants since they give my legs some contour. Straight cut just makes me look boxy.
It's good to see tall guys fashion examples out there, hence I'm digging your channel quite a bit!
As a taller person I find the hardest thing about pants fitting is the rise. Mid or high rise is what I need
Stellar and very helpful!
Thanks for information men, now i know what brand should i buy for Chinos.
HUGE HELP!!! Thank you so much.
👊🏻👊🏻
Been waiting for this one!
Really loved this kind of videos that you make but hey can you make a video about bags? Like duffle, weekenders, etc... and compare them whether which one is the greatest. Appreciate your effort on every videos that you make. Keep up the good job.
Big up from Phil🇵🇭
Yes!!! I was waiting!!!!!
Great content. I absolutely love Bonobos. Their quality and durability is excellent.
This is the exactly the video I needed
Never heard of bonobos before this vid... now I rotate amongst their chinos and dress pants. Thanks for the introduction
I'm digging 5 pocket pants for SS19 - particularly in lighter and/or brighter hues - they're like the Chelsea boots/loafers of pants, in my opinion, dress up/down, always comfortable. I would love to see a similar round-up of 5 pocket pants. In addition to the brands you mentioned here, I'm looking at Todd Snyder, Sid Mashburn, and Brooks Brothers and wonder what you think and what others are out there. Thanks for putting out a great channel and keeping it strong and relevant!
Hi, amazing work. I have following your channel for a long time and a big fan of your work as you have taught me so much about different brands. Just wondering how you feel about Dockers, Old Navy and Lands End?
Loved the video- I think im kind of past the accenting liners of the bonobos idk about you- I know they offer with standard matching colored pockets too which is great. I think the Jomers looked really great I think they were my favorite on you!
Excellent video!
It is awesome to see reviews that involve one's extensive chino collection.
I used to own a few pairs of chinos from Lands' End (Tailored Fit - these were the first chinos I bought), but I was not quite pleased that there was no stretch. I currently own a few pairs of chinos from Banana Republic (Rapid Movement); they fit better (and look better, too).
Great video as usual. I love Chinos more than denim. I will try Uniqlo
Love the gap! Also it might be on the low end but targets brand good fellow has great cheap chinos that have lasted me over a year now!
This is a great video. I almost exclusively wear Chinos. I'm glad to see Bonobos and BR at the op because those are go-tos.
Great video Jon!
I hope you continue making videos like these. Very helpful!☺🍻
Thank you Louis!
@@The_Kavalier NO. Thank you for the honest content and the hard work you put in.
Love The channel!😍
Great video! Sent your way via Jeff, aka Style OG.
Great video very informative. I agree that bonobos and banana republic are the best I give the upper hand to banana republic rapid movement chinos because they are more comfortable they seem to have more stretch then bonobos.
This was very well done. Great analysis and the video felt much shorter than it actually was.
Just Bought my first chino before 8 came across this video. They are Bonobos and BR. How nice
Fantastic video and channel; thanks for ask the hard work you put in! I'm looking to upgrade to the Bonobos chinos you mention in this video. I like the look, your review and that they offer so many for options, particularly there tailored fit.
I seem to have an issue with fade marks on my chinos where my everyday carry tends to sit, my phone is a big culprit of this. Any advice on preventing this from happening, aside from not putting a phone in my front pocket?
Watching this waiting for my Chinos to arrive 🎉
This is so thorough, holy shit. You will be helping a lot of young men with posts like this. Thank you kav
Thank YOU Bruce 🤗
The rear split waist-band of the Ledbury makes them much easier to tailor the waist. This is especially important if you have larger thighs or if the pant is only offered in even numbered waist sizes
"Not totally absurd" collection hahaha. You are the candy man of chinos
Thanks for this. Got a 4 pairs of Banana republic on sale for $35 each
I need this video now!
Lilliam Pumpernickel glad to help Pumpernickel
When you do your active Chino could you cover
Oliver's Passage
Mack Weldon Radius
I've been buying Banana Republic chino pants for work over the past few years, but I've consistently had issues with them. The fabric tends to tear within a few months, the stitching comes undone in high-stress areas, and the color changes after washing. I'm now on the lookout for some affordable, high-quality chino pants that can hold up better.
Bonobos fit me well and a variety of colors
It's absolutely criminal that this guy doesn't have 100k subscribers.
Nice video; a lot of research! My favorite chinos are either by Brunello Cucinelli or Luigi Borrelli Napoli. The Cucinelli ones are impeccably designed and sewn. The Borrelli ones are all completely handsewn and feel incredible; plus there's nothing more beautiful or comfortable than hand stitching!
How much are these Chinos you speak of?
@@shellcrackerlover5889 For retail both are WAAAAY out of my price range, with Borrelli costing $400-500/pair and Cucinelli at $700+; but out you have time and patience, you can often get either on yoox for far less. Often even >$100!
I'll tell you what, my first pair of Cucinelli chinos changed my perspective on what I thought to be overpriced. Then experiencing the handcrafted quality of the Borrelli chinos simply blew my mind. For me, now that this door has been opened, there's no going back, I'm afraid...
Wait for it... wait for it! And it begins!! Boom 💥
I engineer lol. Get Gap for under $30 only.
All my br stuff still held after 20 years. Glad they're still going.
Great video! Really well done comparison of benefits or issues from brand to brand. I am also a huge Bonobos fan not only in chinos but also weekday warriors and their golf line. they offer fantastic assorted fits, remarkable color offerings and a great spread of stretch, summer weight etc. The BR Aldens are also my personal #2 for most of the benefits that you shared,.
Yes I am going to do a video just on weekday warriors, I have 3 pairs and some of my favorite pants! Hope this helped!
@@The_Kavalier I can’t find the slim chinos from bonobos
Very helpful. I bought chinos at Men's Warehouse. One wash and one wear and I can tell they're not going to last long.
Good video!
I love banana republic, always good quality and fits me so well. I suggest their Traveler pants too. Incredibly comfortable, and just last forever.
as an asian student, my closet is 80% uniqlo, the cutting fits us better, quality for its price
Totally Asian lol! The cuts fit me horribly, lots of clothing stores are catering to the Chinese clientele specifically, I’m like 3 waist sizes up on uniqlo pants.
Same name gang.
I know it was on the much more expensive side, but it would've been nice to include the Unis Gio here. It's always been revered as an awesome high end pick and I wanted to see what you thought of it.
Thanx for all you do for us. can you do a video on oxford shirts . i love slim fit stuff , but having trouble with finding good oxford slim fit shirts.
would be amazing if you do a similar video but with dress pants and another showing different outfit 's of how to dress them casually!
Nice video..I'm a budget guy and go with Goodfellow from Target. However I love the Chinos from Express
Goodfellow is tough to beat, for the money nothing comes close.
Great video. I'm surprised no one ever mentions Mango, who offers great colors in their chinos, and their fabric has a good feel for the MSRP of $69. The downside is they offer only one long 34"-ish length. BTW, be careful with Banana Republic's tailoring, as the measurements are conducted by the sales associate who are NOT trained. Therefore not worth the savings.
Interesting video. Please consider including Dockers next time, and emphasize the fit. Although Bonobos may be made well, their fit doesn't work for me, and I think when one is talking about the "best," one has to specify best for whom. BTW, when I see the outline of pockets on the outside of pants, I think the fit is too tight or the material too thin. Plus, I sense men moving away from slim pants toward tapered cuts that allow more room around the hips and thighs.
I myself have found it odd that Dockers are never included in any of these videos considering they are actually known for making Chinos.
@@ashern3920 Everytime I have bought Dockers they never last more than 2 to 3 months.
Great stuff. Thanks. Suggestion: Jack Donnelly khakis are fantastic. American made and reasonable at 98.00. He carries original, hybrid, and slim. Also, O’Connell’s in buffalo. Both online. Continue the great work. Hank
I'm curious to see how your closet is organized. I have no doubt that it's impressive.
Excelent video, what about jeans?
Good video.
