    What would you like to see at the distribution centres?

      I like all your ideas. You mentioned manufacturing centers. IMO these "DC's" are way too complex to just be warehouses. Some/most of these should have some sort of manufacturing attached within the facility.

      Yeah I can get on board with that. I'm really interested to actually see how big they are in game, they look like they could be absolutely massive!

    Good ideas, here are my big 7:
    - Shoe shops
    - Nunnery
    - Fun slide swimming pool
    - Caramel sampling centre
    - Organ transplant clinic
    - Violin music and meditation suite
    - Museum of chips and gravy

      If we don't get all of these I'll be very upset!

    I like Alot of the ideas you and Ray have. Those spy missions that you could apply for than maybe a hour or the next day find out you got it. Then fly Thier, do a little something then hack a terminal would be kinda sneaky fun. Then the idea of somehow owning a factory that say converts something to Fuel...Food or processed ores,
    It would be worth millions in in game currency to build one, but the $$$ you could make over time would be great.
    A lot of good ideas I think you came up with Dave.

      Thanks!
      I really do hope we get factories at some point, I know a lot of people would love that sort of gameplay. I would love missions that take multiple days and play sessions to complete. Things that you feel are actually an accomplishment when you finish them!

    What i want to see is missions that are linked. For example, the first mission is a unlawful aggressive mission where you have to destruct some part of a DC. Once the damage start, the company emit a help mission, where lawful aggressive players can come to defend the location with a bonus if they come fast, before any big damage. After the clean up of all enemies, a third mission ask for lawful players to come to repair. And after that, you could have a fourth mission, where lawful player have to defend the location during 30 minutes. At the end of this loop, the factory can work again. Of course, if all of that have an impact on the economy it's better.

      Love that, yep completely agree about having linked missions!

    some great ideas
    as for game ideas how about letting people salvage the wrecks that players dump ? New Babbage is always loaded with ships dont need to spawn in new ones just point us to the ones that is already there

    We could add missions to bring Construction material to fix up the mess caused by the usual Unlawful aggressives !
    Another mission could be data stealing, may be working for the another company or for a middleman: either case, you get reputation on one side and lose some from the other.
    What about collecting evidence to unmask a saboteur, or a mole inside the distribution centre, may be even as a PvP situation where one player works as the mole to steal informations and the other, unbeknown, works to unmask it: because missions only pops out with a certain level of reputation, both the mole and the counter players will be unaware of who's who.

    I think we need WHOLE offices/branches at cig whose specialize underground, ground, air content(missions) and integrate them into the game

    Bear in mind gameplay features and gameplay content are other teams than the guys making the locations.

    • @LucidStrike
      @LucidStrike 6 месяцев назад +2

      Very important to keep in mind. On the plus side, done time ago, CIG restructured to blend location devs and gameplay devs together, tho that was mostly for landing zones I think.

    • @walawala-fo7ds
      @walawala-fo7ds 6 месяцев назад

      Which is insanity. Cig literally does things it doesn't need because it has people with nothing to do because they are waiting for tech that may never arrive... 😂 Then it will spend millions reworking the wasted effort because it has fallen out of gold standard or whatever. They are a company paying people to dig holes just to cover them up

    It feels like, you've put more work into the missions than CiG. 😀 I mean, we don't know what missions we already will have, but heck yeah. Cargo running !

      @tenpoundfortytwo  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I was surprised we didn't get more info in the ISC or SCL about the actual missions we'll be running. Hopefully 3.23 will bring some nice surprises!

    I think the DCs just need working machinery. Not just physical rooms, but large scale refineries that accept raw materials, (if players can ship it in), manufacturing plants that can craft components, weapons, even vehicles again, if players can ship in the correct materials in bulk. That way, orgs could take over and actually use, solo players could sneak in and steal smaller items.

    • @S0HJIN
      @S0HJIN 6 месяцев назад +1

      Like ships with engineering coming, we need to move past 'greeblies' and actually get functioning, useful machines.

    • @tenpoundfortytwo
      @tenpoundfortytwo  6 месяцев назад

      Love that idea- completely agree!

    There are (according to Ray's Guide) places that are (effectively speaking) Distribution Centers ALREADY in the game, at Crusader of all Places and while some of them are being used for Nine Tails FPS missions, the others appear to be unassigned for any gameplay currently. But they exist, and seem to have been forgotten. As well as introducing the ones they are doing on Microtech and Hurston, WHY can't they begin to work up some missions for these places on Crusader? At the very least give these platforms some purpose, some use other than merely as scenery to fly by and marvel at.

    What I would like to see is mining gameplay within these UGFs itself. I mean, going underground and having mining environments with corridors and things to explore there, like in Klesher, is what I'm waiting to see. I mean, it's still an underground thing; you have to go down. They said the depth is procedurally generated, that sounds so cool to me. It means every DC you need a different suit because the deeper you go, the hotter it gets. For me, all these ideas and what CIG is providing are cool. But if there is no mining gameplay deep underground, I think I will never visit these UGFs. For me, it makes sense to have this gameplay there. You mine the material, drop it off, and get paid from the Corp/DC. They said there will be a medic area and Habs. I think it would be great to transfer your imprint there also, and live and work there for weeks. For me, as I said, it makes so much sense; they are also building different cave prototypes - ice, rock, sand, and so on - so every location on Stanton should be covered. To be honest, I don't see any technical barrier to not having this in. Damm it, it works on Klasher; you are also deep within the surface. Just imagine having an alternate escape route in this DC becasue someone did a Raid, now the Doors are closed, and if you are not Enginier to fix it, you need to get out somewhere in the distance through some puzzle jumps or so. That is something to make me go there and what i thrive to see in the DC.

    • @tenpoundfortytwo
      @tenpoundfortytwo  6 месяцев назад

      Love all of that. Completely agree, we have to see mining at some point. It is interesting that they haven't implemented that with the first drop. I guess it's possible that they have a 'mine' location in mind.

    I just cannot believe they called UGF Raids “end game” content.

    • @tenpoundfortytwo
      @tenpoundfortytwo  6 месяцев назад +1

      I can see why they might say its end game for the DC's. But yeah if that's the main end game content for the PU, we're in trouble!

    I'm a little dumbfounded at the idea of there being more gameplay at a distribution center than an ACTUAL city.

      Yep hopefully CIG will have a bit of a rethink about city missions at some point!

    It’s becoming very obvious that Star Citizens PU was a “it would be cool if” that came from the mind of Chris Roberts without any idea how it would play. They made really cool tech but we’ve yet to see if they’re capable of making an MMO.

      @tenpoundfortytwo Thanks a lot for taking a look at this and the link.
      I checked other sites Discord links and also not working. On a hunch I launched the Discord app (normally it is auto launched on link click) first, and then clicked link and it works. This is on PC via Chrome. Maybe just some bug currently.
