Watching this on my iPhone XS Max and I agree with most of the comments here, the XZ3 has the better camera. XZ3 has more natural output. Bravo Sony, they should rethink how they market their products. Here in Switzerland, Apple products have a big market share, like 60%.

Though they somehow get beaten in the software department at times since the camera division doesn't want to cooperate till the Xperia 1. We'll know how huge is the improvement then once they release it.

i am using xperia XZ2 compact which has the same sensor with XZ3. can say pictures and video quality have improved much after upgrading to Android 9 Pie. Looks like they did a good job on fixing their camera app)

The difference in stabilization is so drastic, the iPhone looks as if it went against the GoPro Hero 7. Anyway, I really love the natural look of the results on the Xperia.
4:23 i know it had been almost 3 years.. But that car.. do you remember which one is the real life color? I have the feeling like the sony one is actually the color of the car in real life.. Iphone usually changes the temperature of the photos, which is fine too.. it's all about taste in the end.
listened to the audio very well and it looked like one of the mics in the xz3 was covered. The stereo recording sound was not balanced if you listen with an earphone
The iPhone still does great dynamic range and shoots with a flatter looking profile. Sony tends towards better colours. The bike test seems to upset a few phones. In reality, both of these are fine with hand held usage.
I'm not a fan of Iphone but it won the xz3 by many area and margin: natural color, cinematic video texture, fast auto focus, contrast control, natural skin tone, audio loud and clean.
Congrates on your video, your comparissons were very good and varied, also Japan looks beautiful hopefully I get to visit soon. The iPhone takes very nice pictures sometimes, but the Xperia beat it by far, I don't understand why they don't receive the attention they should. Greetings from Mexico~
