October 4th, 2020 marks the 30th Anniversary of the show, Beverly Hills, 90210, which premiered on prime time TV back on October 4th, 1990. The show had a very successful 10-year run until its last episode in the year 2000.
Get ready to take a nostalgic trip back to the 1990's, and into the world of all things Beverly Hills, 90210!
Brian Armand of Bri Adventures, sets out to pay tribute to the show in this new Anniversary documentary entitled, "Beverly Hills, 90210 (Looking Back 30 Years - Fan Rewind)".
Along with a special guest, Brian lightly touches upon many pivotal moments from the show's 10-year run. Brian and his guest recall moments from the show, talk about the impact the show had on pop culture, share favorite scene and music match ups, and there are also fan perspectives on several things that are talked about. Brian also recalls when he met Jamie Walters back in the 1990's, when Jamie just started out on the show, and we also pay tribute to Luke Perry and so much more!
In the end credit roll, we thank, in general, the many producers, writers, and creators on making such an iconic production that defined an era!
I will still wear the Levis 501s, suit jackets and I actually bought a blouse in black, that looks like the white blouse with frills that Kelly wore. The vests I love as well and the ballerina bodysuits. I'll always go back to this style, with the exception from neon colours 😂😂
@@Darkangel-A-c8z Yes, the neon colors really represented the 80s and early 90s, such nostalgia though! Thanks for watching!!
@@briadventures definitely. I used to wear loads of neon colours back then lol
I graduated high school in 1991 so this was right in my wheel house.
I immediately liked the plot…I was a 7 year old girl in Mexico who bumped into this show on cable tv , and immediately loved it and was into the plot!
My mid teen memories. I'm going to buy the full dvd box set of Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Charmed etc
RIP Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty 💔🙏🏾🥀🪦🕊️
I was born in 91 and my mom watched this (and of course Melrose Place) and as a kid and teen i still remember the cultural impact of this show. People referenced it irl a lot.
they don't do that as much these days. (i guess 30 years'll do that)
Yes, well said! The impact of the show was felt worldwide, and even to this day, fans hold a special place in their heart for Beverly Hills, 90210!
I was born 1993, my friend's older sister watched it, so that's how I discovered the show. I liked it back in the day!
Indeed. My dream flat, would be either the beach house in Beverly Hills, the flat complex in Melrose Place with a lovely pool or a Craftman bungalow. Hello from Sweden. I was born in 76
amazing how that first season they were all episotic styled like it was a sitcom. where they all had a point. then when Brenda had the pregnancy's scare it turned into a serialized show for the next 9 years!
The Brenda & Dylan break up scene with REMs 'Losing My Religion' is iconic -> you can't think of one without the other.. Another song / scene I feel go hand in hand is when Emily Valentine comes to Beverly Hills [S2E8 -> Wildfire].. They play Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Games' when Brandon & Emily are on a date up on Mulholland Drive, but I think it was more impactful when it's played when Dylan & Brenda are also on their date up on Mulholland Drive [same episode] when they get back together..
Agreed, the music really does make the scene, and I almost featured the Wicked Game song scene matchup in the video! I love that song, and yes, I also feel that it really has more of an impact during Brenda and Dylan scene! Definitely a great scene!!
In 1990 i was 3 year...😂
Later was my the Best serias❤
Thank you for bringing all this topic up!
Brenda and Dyaln forever!❤😂
Edit: My favorite scene and music is David playing his keyboard singing (iirc) his own composition "Be my love." His dancing is awesome.😂❤
Favorite music moments:
Yes! All the ones you mentioned…
Depeche Mode all through first season!
-All the Jeremy Jordan moments
-All the Shanice moments
-Kathy Dennis at the prom and 3rd season
- Stand by me when Dylan is deciding between Brenda and Kelly
-All the Colorme Bad moments and the full episode in them!
-Season 4
The song that’s playing in the pool party dance contest
The song when David and Donna reinaguration
When David plays this Saturday rap song…by Omar
Great observation of all the classic original songs! Definitely defined that era for sure! When hearing the original songs with the original episodes, especially within the first 4-5 seasons, it brings back such great nostalgia! Thanks for the comment!
The show was great! I think that the series ended with season 4…with the original idea the original cast
My aunt watched the Brenda years of the show when she was a teenager
Loved finally figuring out that the side/back of the Peach Pit/After Dark was the side of and parking lot of the Van Nuys warehouse they used for most interiors.
Did so when they mentioned it in-passong on a Reelz doc in '19 that they shot most interiors at a studio not in Hollywood but out in Van Nuys in a warehouse.
Given all that and the # of shots outside the pit it's easy to back into the answer.
Yet on tv looks so plausible.
Nope. They just walked outside the studio and rolled 📸
Thanks for your comment! Absolutely, you are correct! They used several exterior facades on that street where the Warehouse/studio was located on that Industrial business street. One façade was used for a Nightclub exterior, and the building to the left of that side of the Peach Pit After Dark exterior you mentioned, that was also utilized as interior studio space for additional sets, and several episodes, the exterior of that building also stood in for other places within the show, one where Dylan and Brandon come walking out of it.
Who can help to put back the original music to the series? It was a fundamental part of the show!
I know it was a matter of legal rights but I know it’s possible!
The Wonder Years did it and sold it as a very unique collectors piece!
The music defined our generation! Was part of the excitement of watching…
I think that the copyright, as you mention is the biggest thing. Many shows from that time period struggle with that issue when put into syndication or on physical media such as DVD, Blu Ray, etc!
Wish Marianne would of stay in the entire series.
A few that I remember are: Concrete Blonde's Joey playing during an episode where Brandon was dating a girl who had a child. And the episode where David's friend Scott accidentally shoots himself had, if I remember correctly, Guns and Roses version of Knockin on Heavens Door. There was also a Garth Brooks song featured in the same episode but I can't remember the name of it.
На 100 раз пересмотрела разные сезоны. Очень интересные герои и происходящие с ними истории
Who referenced the Apple Pan in 90210
The Apple Pan was the inspiration for the Peach Pit, if I'm understanding your question correctly.
My high school didn't have a court yard we had a smoking area. 🤞
Same, it was more of a Senior Courtyard for us, however, it was really just a smoking area for those who smoked cigarettes at the time.
Do the DVDs have the original music?
No, there might be 1 or 2 original songs, if the show owned the rights to them, however, other than that, the rest of the music is all replaced.
My high school had a courtyard it almost looked like an outside update country Cafe with trees and benches. I seen Jamie Walter's live he was horrible live. It was after he left 90210
REM NIGHTSWIMMING WHEN BRANDON LEFT THE SHOW... WAS GOOD TOO.
nice
His voice is so familiar??
