That is so funny and a pun intended. Nice line! Get it? “For the record?” Austin is from the 60s, never saw a CD disc and thought he would play it on a record player. Instead, he gets loud static instead of music. LOL 😂
OMG, i nearly crapped my pants... never seen this scene before, or maybe never paid attention when it come about. Austin Powers movies has a bunch of great scenes so they sometimes blend together...
You can't blame Austin for acting the way he does. (I'm referring to the scene right before this) he missed out on a lot within the last 3 decades. Transitioning from the 60s to the present day won't be easy
i wonder what someone from the 60s would think of the world today. i mean heck now someone from the 1990s would have trouble figuring out the world today.

(ba dum tiss)
That got an open mouthed laugh out of me. congratulations, sir.
It was upside down !
Ironically, vinyl is now "in" again and CDs are becoming a relic, at least in-stores.
Right on!!
because of hipsters
I guess cassettes are a joke now. Also you got a point, my sister got a turn table after buying some vinyl records for Christmas
2 years later that statment is more accurate then ever.
Cds are still better quality. I buy both but own more cds
That scene always makes me wince lol
Such a good song. Especially the live versions

It’s crazy to think how vinyls are more relevant than CDs now.
They're not.

poor Austin XD he just wanted to listen to the Byrds :(
What sound was that?
Mitchell Hodack I'm only just seeing this comment now 😂😂 what do you mean what sound? Lmao
It sounds like a static.
Mitchell Hodack It was the CD scratching. He put a CD in a record player because he doesn't know how CD's work
Imitate it.
This is me when I’m trying to get to grips with Netflix 😂
So is my parents using the streaming service.
Austin Powers international Man of mystery Static cracking
Why hasn't this become a meme yet
This was so funny 😂😂

Has anybody ever tried putting a CD in a gramophone?
I tried on my regular record player but the stylus won't reach the cd 😒
Lol he has to flip it over DUH
Since Austin had been frozen for 30 years, he doesn't know that a CD does work on his gramophone.
Funny enough they started selling vinils again at the stores
THE BYRDS
notice the piano music stopped? ima weenius
Ooh, mama! This techno music is dope!
They got this scene wrong.
The real Austin from the 60's would have placed the pick-up needle on the outer edge of the CD, not the inner.
Extremely funny scene
💿
Who's ever heard of columbia
0:08 sorry, Austin powers. The 💿 can’t work on the record player.
My IQ in a Nutshell.
this is such a dumb joke but i love it

At least it's not Justin Bieber

That sounded better than anything from Justin Bieber.
What was that CD anyway?
The Byrds, Mr. Tambourine Man

😂😂😂😂😂
Austin fucked up... he was playing it on the wrong side
lul
What are CDs?
Compact discs
I dont get the joke
He was using a record player on a CD. It wasn't able read the CD, which is why it only made static.
He doesn't know what a CD is nor how it works as he was used to playing vinyls in 60s before he was frozen.
Vinyl music's not that popular anymore.
To you.
What sound was it?
Jackie Hallam actually it's more popular
