A little thought to pass on, check into investing on welding blanket. (Fire proof) You can cut a hole in the middle of about a 20” square and maybe Velcro into one of your tarps or tent. Good Luke!!!!!!!!

That doesn't look like condensation to me..It looks like you punctured the plastic when you put the sticks and leaves on top. Just a few pinholes will do that. If it was all just condensation it would be all over the plastic and things would not be puddley wet but soaked less visibly and more evenly... I have never seen anyone take such chances with a woodstove, especially sitting inside a plastic leaf and twig sheller. Noone I know would ever put a stovepipe directly against wood (no matter how wet it is... THOSE PIPES GET HOT!! ) or plastic of anything. You need heavier gauge plastic and a metal colla, and a carbon monoxide monitor Other than that it was a cool video and I enjoyed it.... BE SAFE! AND MAKE MORE VIDEOS ... aka: LIVE LONG AND PROSPER lol
For fun we would bend trees tie then and cover with plastic. Made one that was fitheen feet high. Hold ten teenagers We built brick banks for the fire and it would get very warm. I’m mean those bricks were smoking. We would cut It down and the trees would spring back. Kind of anyway. Now I build bubbles. With thin strip and plastic. So far 55mph. Some damage Other than that . All well
chris mclaughlin yes round on both ends. Using thin strips of wood. One winter I covered my bus so I could paint Average temp held 22 degrees above the out side. The last one was 13 by 28. 12foot high. It’s made three winters so far. Added a rocket stove and have shirt sleeve temps. In the snow. Because of the tapered ends it’s handled 55mph winds. With just an edge peal.
Dwight Bowker yep, the mortgage company are getting (their!) my house back in a week, been collecting tarps, tents and canvas. Local council won't be housing me, so camp life it will be. Problem in my area, there's an act inforced by the police, public space protection order, which means you can't camp. So everything getting a coat of green dye, and I'm buying a camo net to hopefully cover my hobo house from the council Nazis. They re more concerned with land than people, priceless! Good luck fellow hobos with all your 'adventures..' At least we wont get crushed by brickwork...

Nice bunkhouse.. I like that clear plastic wall.. what's that? a tarp or just clear plastic? Did you try using it in the summer? How do keep the bugs out? You could've sealed the floor with that plastic sheet and place a sheet of wood over it.
Within the short time it was up I had to rebuild it cause people kept messing it up because it was on public land. It was only up about 30 days total ot wouldn't have made it to summer with all the people.

I skipped through so maybe I missed something, but I'm wondering why the sheet plastic instead of a sturdier woven plastic tarp. I like the project though. Bushcraft doesn't always need to be entirely primitive materials and methods. Where is this?
For safety sake i hope that no young kids try to replicate your efforts, particularly an open fire in a small confined space covered in polythene this can only end in disaster, try out your fantasies first then post it for public domain.

I once stayed in an old shed that you could see through on a small island where we were tearing down a lighthouse . That was ugly . Burned driftwood to stay warm . Your shelter is very cool . Plus you enjoyed it , and that’s what counts . 👍

In colorado, on Craigslist you can buy used bill board signs. 30 dollars would get enough for 2 of what you have. they have it listed as used tarps

I once stayed in an old shed that you could see through on a small island where we were tearing down a lighthouse . That was ugly . Burned driftwood to stay warm . Your shelter is very cool . Plus you enjoyed it , and that’s what counts . 👍
