- Hello Everyone! Thank you for your patience with me while I’ve been to Ireland and France to teach my workshop. We toured around the west and central Ireland for ten days and visited incredible places Ive never seen before. (I’ll be doing some studio painting videos of those soon!)
I was blown away by the fascinating 5,000 year old Newgrange, and the massive Bronze Age Dun Aengus fort on Inishmore, the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry. We also visited old favorites; the Rock of Cashel, Leap Castle, and the Cliffs of Killkee and Moher. Plus the incredible 10 days in southern France, more on that later!
It was a truly memorable experience and I did make a few videos that I’m excited to share with you! First off, Ireland🇮🇪☘️This video focuses primarily on color mixing and much more.

Thank you Jessica, for sharing your painting knowledge and process with us. Color mixing is definitely a learning experience…mixing to make greens is sometimes quite challenging so thank you for your insights about that…and suggesting you make big enough piles of your mixes on your palette as it can save you time. As a watercolor plein air painter I feel like your process still applies. I think the paint holder which closes is fantastic for saving your paints.
Ireland…wow! Beautifully green! (so one better learn how to mix a variety of greens)😊
So. Beautiful ❤
Such an incredible place to paint. Beautiful painting. Thank you for sharing your trip and your experience painting there.

Thanks so much Jessica, great video, great painting in such a beautiful place. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺. And yes Ireland is so beautiful . But 30yrs experience you say, no way, you
must have started as a baby😂.
Thanks so much, Michael! Haha! I began teaching when I was 18 while attending the Atelier, I’m 48(!) 😬😂 how’d that happen!? But, thanks for making my day!☺️
Lovely Jessica. I am spending fhr summer near Lahinch, County Clare and I decided to bring gouache paints and gear with me (from California). It’s a wonderful medium I am finding out. Do you ever paint with gouache? Thanks for your videos.
