@56:30 instead of cycling veil of summer it might be better to keep in hand for one turn, then next turn play it then plow cannoneer (although you don't draw for that, you could wait another turn and play plow in response to blue spell)
53:10 I draw 2 cards in the morning. I draw 2 cards at night. I draw 2 cards in the afternoon. It makes me feel alright. I draw 2 cards in time of peace and 2 in time of war. I draw 2 cards before I draw 2 cards and then I draw 2 more.
I always got confused when Reid don't crack the fetchland with a hand full of lands (3:45)... I know the reduced probability of getting another land is not huge, but it can help a little... can someone explain?
Helps you not get exposed to Wasteland. Even though he has plenty of lands in hand, it still sets him back a turn on mana. It's also good to keep at least one fetch un-cracked if you're playing with Brainstorm so you can shuffle afterwards.
In legacy the shuddle effect (with brainstorme for example, drawing 3 cards and putting back two unwanted lands) could help. Reid could also need to fetch for a dryad at the last time. In modern, you crack fetch to filter, minus weird cases, in legacy you don't, minus weird cases
Could it be correct to have 2 atraxa in the 60/80? Having duplicate NO be dead or drawing atraxa 20% of the time seems awful. Axtraxa pitches to force so drawing 1/2 isn't the worst.
I thought the same thing: Casting Surgical on a cantrip is almost always bad and choosing to target Ponder over Brainstorm makes even less sense, unless you happen to know the contents of Reid's hand.
I feel like i've seen 60 card decks in modern with 4 atraxa's that draw atraxa less than Reid. Love the grit in playing through it though Reid! :)
It takes years of experience of drawing Craterhoof Behemoth.
@@SpencerPatt haha so true

Cool to watch you tune a deck in the best format! 🎉
The thumbnails for Reid videos have been *superb* lately

Love this series of videos.
Love the handshake thumbnail
I've seen both Natural Order and Sneak and Show run Atraxa. What are the pros/cons between the two?
They're pretty different. Order is a grindy midrange deck, Sneak & show is all-in combo.

Various forms of interaction can fuck that up (stifle being the famous one, opposition agent being the relevant one here as shown later)

They’re clearly ghosting with the surgical at 1:15:00 right??

It's an odd play, but they could merely be spewing off cards to work up to Murktides and just got a lucky hit.
Is this take two with yorion?
heheheheheeheh that was a good vid
