One of the best Movies ever. So inspirational. Being of Mexican Descent, I can empathize with these runners. Nothing came easy to my family, but my Father worked his BUTT off to provide for our family. Kevin Costner, my all time favorite!!!
My kids love this movie! Kevin Costner has gift to use his acting to show the world there's treasure like gold of people out there. And not what other Hollywood old shows try to depict or down grade a People! As Native American He played Dances of Wolves...And made us proud that it's about time let the true story be told!
How Cross Country and their Coach Mr White changed their life forever, they thought as Mexican immigrants who work on the fields under the heat of the sun there is no way they could get an Education... This is truly an inspiring movie...
Truly inspirational work especially in these times where we are in dire need of that sense of 'community'. Teamwork makes the dream work and these boys created a lasting legacy they can be proud of, for generations to come!! Thank You, Kevin Costner, for bringing this great story to the big screen for all to enjoy. And Muchos Gracias to all the boyz from McFarland running team for showing us when the going gets tough, the tough get going. You guys are the epitome of True American Spirit!!

Love this movie, who what have thought our little town, McFarland would be in a movie. Awesome depiction of the spirit that this town has, including all the other surrounding outlying farm towns in Kern County.
My friend would Love this movie since Kevin Costner was one of her favorite Actor, I mean her high School crush actually... but she passed away already and seing Kevin Costner on film like this makes me remember my friend

I got to admit back in the days my generation in the 80's we sue to listen to our teachers. We had respect and we would listen to our elders. Now in these days kids do not. They think they are grow up and that we adults owe them not realizing they owe us the parent to have given them what we parents didn't have. Well, that is how I see it.
