I completely disagree on your take about Madueke not getting a lot of minutes, to me he suits mares as system perfectly, it’s more of a thing of if maresca is gonna force palmer into this team or not, because he isn’t an 8, nor is a touchline winger, it’s the same with nkunku really, nkunku is better off player striker

EVERY CHELSEA VLOG has DBH as a starter lol. Why because he played with maresca? That man is back up to cole palmer. Both are left footed creative players. The football directors looked at last season as thought if Cole Palmer gets injured our season is over. They don't expect him to play 70 games. I agree Noni is gonna cook. I think he will compete with sterling on the RW and honestly out of the two of them I don't know who will own that position
Nkunku has no obvious place in this team which is kinda frustrating . Hes way to good

Nice to get some tactical análisis. I imagibe Nkunku or Jackson to start as striker and Mudryk or probably Sterling on the left. We will see i just hope it works.
I think fernandez will be the deepest midfielder because one of the full backs will invert for that defensive element. KDH and caicedo will be 8s but they can actually go wide to put crosses in which would allow palmer/noni and sterling/nkukunkuku to come inside and do the quick passes in and around the box. This should make it harder for teams to track our players with the constant movement.
So on paper we will line up as 4-3-3 but if we're going to be a heavily based possesion team, when we have the ball it'll be more like a 3-2-2-3:

James - Enzo
Caceido - KDH
palmer - jackson - nkuku
As much as i love gallagher, i don't think he fits enzo's style of play. This new system is very technical and conors game is more pressing, energy etc which is why he worked so well in potchs system as that was based on a lot of running with less emphasis on positional play. Plus considering how open the club have been about trying to sell him and trev this squad is being assembled without them mind.
Anywho those are my thoughts on the matter
I much prefer palmer in the 8 and madueke on the RW. the 2 8s must be goal threats
@@TChAriv1 the 8 are required to do more defending than the inverted winger in this system so Palmer wouldn't be deployed there. He's never played as an 8 for city or Chelsea
If the team can survive keeping Enzo in the team after what he done I'll be surprised, guy has to go for the sake of team harmony imo.
@@damienakatubbyable nah I think it'll be ok. The general consensus is he's ignorant. If he apologises to each of his teammates face to face, 1 on 1 and listens to what they have to say there's a good chance we can move on from this. I'm saying this as a mixed race person in a predominantly white conutry. People's views are shaped by the environment they grew up in so if someone is offensive to my demographic once, I take into consideration their upbringing, if they're ignorant or meant it maliciously. If it's ignorance then educate them and if they their behaviours don't change then it's an issue. I always believe in giving people second chances. We all make mistakes
@whackeryounis I hear you but all of that is from your perspective and the evidence so far is that the French contingent in the team might not be so accommodating. That in conjunction with the lack of contrition from the Argentinians in general, this will seriously damage team spirit I'm sure. I hope Enzo can learn from this but the lesson needs to a strong one.

Madueke, Sterling will play more games as wingers for sure. Palmer will feature as the left side 8, and maybe Kiernan Dewsbury Hall will also be in the mix.
Hall is not a starter I don't know why people are making him that
my opinion on the goalkeeper situation would be buying a new one from the market who is decent in saves and also with the feet. Someone like Unai Simon who is decent at both.

Madueke will have move minutes. Gallagher, very few minutes. I don't know, the way people love Conor they are willing to forget about his serious lack of quality on the ball. Last seasons he delayed a whole lot of attacks by taking extra touches where unnecessary.
Unfortunately Gallagher is not technically sound enough. He will come off the bench to sure things up when we are ahead.
I think Nkunku will start as a striker because he is naturally a False 9... In Maresca's system, he likes his strikers to come low to get the ball when overloading the midfield, before exploding upwardsl.. Jackson needs to learn that and he will!

Palmer will start at 10. If you watch the Leicester games you’ll understand why he won’t be wide. He won’t be touching the ball as much if that was the case!

3. Impossible task of gelling players without making unpopular choices

I think we stick with Sanchez unless we buy a new keeper. Sanchez made some bad mistakes but was actually better overall than Petrovic. He's a much better passer, he just made some bad mental errors. Petrovic avoided those by playing after. I don't think that'll work in Maresca's system. Ultimately, a new keeper is the best option.
Sanchez is a disaster waiting to explode any time example that Arsenal match. He cost us some good points. I can't trust him yet.

Playing L.Colwill as CB in a back 3 is suicidal. I'd be surprise if he sees a lot of game because he's not comfortable with the ball.
