I don't know what it is with me lately, but I am very intrigued with how people are able to cram so much into a tiny living space and make the most of it, from micro campers, to van-sized RVs, and now I've stumbled my way here. Nice work on the video, Usui.

I like this one, good toilet space with toilet paper storage and no glass door. The small fridge is a nice bonus. There’s plenty of light so it doesn’t feel like living in a cell. Also, you have the option of having your bed in the loft or on the main floor. I was a bit concerned about no washing machine room in the apartment but having free laundry facilities downstairs is a great plus. And the rent is very good for what you get. I think this is a winner!

It reminds me of a dormitory suite. That is the cleanest under floor storage I've seen so far. There are some that look like the entry to a deep dark passage. Finally toilet paper storage! The first you've shown with a laundry room. The jazz music is a nice added touch to the video. 😊

I'd personally place a folding bed, a work desk/dining & chair on the main floor, and stash away all the storage boxes, clothes and other non daily items up in the loft and use it as a guest space when needed.

This is one of the nicest ones we’ve seen. I think the free communal laundry area is very smart. It is designed well and doesn’t look old or compromised in any way. While the loft is still up a very steep ladder, it is done well for what it is. I also love the privacy “wall” between the street and the lower half of the bottom window.

This is one of the nicest micro-apartments you have visited so far. There is sufficient storage for clothing and food, and the loft space is safe ( the barriers could be a little higher but at least, there are barriers ). The free laundry room is so well designed and furnished !
I understand your fear of heights but it makes more sense to me to have your private space upstairs and your working and / or social space downstairs. Unless you frequently wake up during the night to run to the loo...
Even with your futon mattress upstairs, it could be good to have a foldable bed downstairs so you can have a visitor over. There are one-sit sofabeds or even foldable foam mattresses that are like sofas when folded.

The small section of the loft where the outlet is. Place a entertained stand there with TV and Xbox or switch or both.
Put a futon bed up there and use the bed like a couch to play games.

Possibly even a computer desk, with a high end computer.

This micro apartment seems to have been designed better than most of the others we have seen. It made sense where things were, the loft was big enough for a bed or computer/TV room or storage, but probably not all three. The laundry room meant not needing to allow space for a washer. I would not choose it without seeing a model with furniture because it looks good empty, but when I think about it, it is equivalent to putting everything in a space some US homes would use for a walk-in closet in the master bedroom (but not in my house).

I surprise myself when I say that I like it, I really like it. It's not even micro, it's almost a microscopic apartment.
    Layout:
    - the lower part is the living room/workroom (big words with such dimensions, but it can be solved if you don't have huge needs: a monitor TV of a suitable size would be just enough on the wall above a desk with storage, and there can be cabinets on the wall above the whole thing, and a comfortable armchair or recliner, floor chair opposite the whole)
    - loft: bedroom. A comfortable mattress can fit upstairs, and there would be room for at least 1, maybe even 2 chest of drawers, which is a relatively good storage option together with the open cupboard next to the kitchenette.
It's a blessing that they didn't try to fit a giant refrigerator and a washing machine into such a small space. The free use of the laundry room is cool, and the tiny mini-bar fridge is just enough for one person in such a large space.
    Ideas:
    ruclips.net/video/dDSZ7-nJGCI/видео.htmlsi=U-ysJetGhTZSEBNt
    ruclips.net/video/BUaWQHzM-Qc/видео.htmlsi=JhmjyPeWzRNZjCeb

    ruclips.net/video/9Ogyunbq1WM/видео.htmlsi=S6R-snRl7Y1cmEFi
But! The foldable boxes can also be placed on their sides, stacked on top of each other, and the open cabinet is ready. :D

I like it. But this kind of setup is better for bodies under 60. It could be dangerous to go up and down the ladder. Really nice and has all amenities. One could literally just bring a few pieces of furniture and clothes, and be ready to just have a space for resting and spend the rest of the time out. Young people does that. As one gets older, one spends more time at home. Price is good too.
Looking forward to our next video 🍀

I think that's a nice place. Was a little sad to see there's a basement laundry Instead of in the apartment but if the use of laundry machines is free that doesn't suck. Almost as good. Especially if the apartment is on the ground floor. The apartment looks new and I like the finishes. The underfloor storage is cool 😎, all around the storage is decent. The placement of the ladder to the loft is perfect. The loft seems small though and that attractive metal railing looks like a trip hazard. I wouldn't want to sleep up there and fling over the side in the the muddled morning. I think the rent is okay.
Thank you for showing this place. It's better than many micro apartments.

A communal laundry room in a rental apartment building?! Wow! What a novel concept! Sorry for being facetious; but a lot of apartment buildings in the US have them where the apartments are much bigger. When I lived in Boston for instance, I lived in an 800 sq ft apartment and the shared laundry room was down the hall. I just don’t understand why everyone seems to want to take up precious space in these micro apartments with these tiny drum washing machines which you probably can’t even wash bedsheets in. I like a lot about this micro apt; it’s cleverly thought out. The extra food storage in the floor is great. I like that the loft has railings. I’m not super afraid of heights but would probably also want the bed downstairs and use the upstairs for TV/computer use and some storage. I think I’d also maybe place a little bigger (about waist height) refrigerator downstairs with a microwave placed on top of it.

@@vikkischaffer2301 No, I agree that’s even nicer. But even having to pay a little a load (These days, they take cards so you don’t even need to collect coins most of the time. And the cost is probably at least the same as the water bill for home laundry would be.) is better than taking up space in a less than 200 square foot apt with a nearly useless tiny drum washer.

Use the loft for storage and a media room. Back when I was in an apartment where I used the communal laundry room, I loved it. Wow that one looks super cozy for a single person. I'd put a comfy armchair in the left corner, set a nice table to eat (and to prep food), which would also fit as a work desk and next to the ladder I'd put storage, adding that all up with a beamer and screen that you could roll up if not needed. This way you'd actually use it as a living area for movie nights or reading books. It'd be a lovely small nook to chill out. The loft will propably fit an ordinary matress and where the small lamp is, there's also room for storage to put up. A very cute flat for people who'd never have guests over either way. I mean, I live on 60sqm and still have no guests around (and don't want to) though I could have.
The only downside is, that you can't have pets there (maybe a small fish tank which isn't actually good for the fish).

Interesting tiny space! I would change the ladder in order to somehow integrate it into a desk like sideboard along the wall left to the kitchen. This furniture can be a TV stand plus a desk plus a retractable eating table for two to three people. Two to three stackable chairs can be place there. Above the sideboard two shelv boards displaying some favorite items fill the center of this large wall. On the opposite wall (between bathroom wall and window) I´d put a sofa (maybe a convertible sofa bed) with two colorful pillows plus a small coffe table next to it. Above the sofa some large wall art could bring luxury to this area. A filigree reading lamp helps to create a cozy place to relax. Two long curtains from the ceiing to the floor should frame the windows. The loft would be the sleeping area with just a wide futon, a table lamp (placed on the floor like already seen in the video) and a small book shelf or just a basket for books and magazines. At the wall of the bed´s foot end, above the kitchen, there could be another (or the only) flat TV set.

This could easily be a university dorm room. When I studied in Japan, my room was about this size without the loft, instead just stretch it longer by a few meters to fit in a single bed. Instead of the kitchenette it was my study table and refrigerator. I had a toilet at the same arrangement but no shower. We had a common shower room, kitchen and a laundry room.

This apartment looks very nice. The floorplan is good and the bathroom is sufficient.
I would put the bed in the loft and a desk in the living space.

I would comfortably live in this space. It does not give you a claustrophobic feel given the size of it. The space provides you with the very basic things you would need to feel comfortable and live a minimilastic life. I believe 2 simple individuals can share this space. Awesome space and layout!

I envision using the loft as a bedroom, with a cozy loveseat by the ladder and a multi-functional desk directly across from the loveseat, that doubles as an entertainment center.

I smiled at the pan up the wall behind the toilet. TP storage! 🎉 With the loft ladder, it wouldn’t be for Usui, but it otherwise seems really nice. Having the laundry room in the building basement is good. Still gotta get dressed to do your laundry though! 😂 Overall it seems like a good deal for someone!

    Hi Usui😊
    I love your videos.😍
I am a Hungarian from Finland but my big dream is one day to travel to Japan.
I really like this micro apartment and I love the loft part.🥰
    It's so private.
When I was a child I had my bed in the room's loft part.
For example if you have some guests they won't see your private area with your bed.
And at the down part...you can even have a little IKEA flap table with chair.
The table one part can be working table and the other part is where you can eat and the TV could be maybe on the wall.
But the best things are the fridge, the WC paper storage and that the WC door is not transparent.🎊

Honestly I could never imagine living in this small space. I could live in a tiny trailer with wide open outside but not this one. However if I had to, I would put a couch/bed downstairs, use rods in places to add to storage and I would devise a desk of some sort to go over the two railing on the loft so I could hang my feet through the longer railing and work on that desk. I would put my supplies in neat containers with drawers up there and make miniature things or artwork. I would have a lap top to use up or down. I would hang miniature artwork and items on the wall, Nevertheless this would be a challenge for me to live here.

Id use a single sofa bed and a wall mounted table as a work table/dining table. The loft area will be a storage. Im not really keen on going up and down the stairs for sleeping especially when im too tired to do anything.

I actually like this unit especially because of the sleeping loft. You can fit a double size sofa bed in the niche which shares the wall of the bathroom and the TV / bookcase. Have a small rectangular coffee table that is adjustable to desk or dining table height along with 2-4 folding chairs.

I like this apartment. It is good equiped and nicely done, also a very good layout. In the loftspace I would put some futon and arrange it for RUclips or projector's movies watching. And I would put also a small table for a laptop. Below I would put some small sofa, that converts in small bed at night and small desk, that can be also for eating. Good place.

I am loving this micro-apartment 🙂! It has a lot of potential - you can have the bed in the loft area or on the main floor. I personally see the loft being used as the sleeping area and the main floor as a spot for a TV, small armchair, and small study/work desk! The laundry facility works just perfectly and allows the whole floor space to be utilized! Great showing, thank you for sharing!!

Considering how tall the ceiling is maybe some kind on bunk bed where you can use the bottom area as work space the top to sleep plus have almost next to the loft to increase your space? The bunk might need to be custom built though. You could even turn that ladder into a shelf staircase to access both the top bunk and loft at the same time and have more storage.

That loft is nicer than a lot of the ones that you’ve shown on your channel. I wish the ladder was real stairs with storage built in like I’ve seen on some other loft spaces.

I quite like it! I could certainly live there, though I wouldn't be inviting many people over at once. I'd probably end up placing a mattress in the loft with some clothes storage, and setting up more storage and a large desk/table for a computer and general use in the main living area.

This is a very nice apartment, it’s clean and new looking. The building looks nice, as does the area. I think I’d have a sofa bed downstairs and use the loft for storage. The laundry room makes more sense to me than taking up space in the apartment with a washing machine. It needs more prep space for cooking though. On the whole, I’d give it a 9/10.

I really like this one. Very functional for such a compact space and the loft is nicely finished with the wood panels. I would use the loft space as a sleeping area and put a small futon and TV unit or desk in the downstairs space.

  • @joannacurran8475
    @joannacurran8475 2 месяца назад

I think it is good also. A futon bed could go on either floor and provide a seating area also. I would consider putting a door into drop down table over the closet in the entrance so more space to prepare food and could eat at it so no need to put work away to eat at a desk. It has space and design to become a home as opposed to sleeping space.

It's honestly really cute. I'd put a tatami mat upstairs and a futon which I could hang over the railing to air out during the day.
