Great video. I have a plantlet that broke off my main peperomia plant and I put the stem in a little cup of water thinking it could root that way. I did this last night. Is this a bad idea or will it work?
Hi Yes , Peperomia can be propagated from the leaves and will produce plantlets(baby plants) like you see in the video. Peperomia does not need a stem node to grow new plants. Happy Peperomia Gardening ❤️
Hi Catty, Good question! I keep the soil moist for 2 weeks then let the soil completely dry before re watering. I don't have a watering schedule, l just check if the soil is dry before rewatering. Everybody household conditions are different and the pot size used may differ so the rate the soil becomes dry is different. Just use enough water to make the soul moist but not soggy. I can not say how much as the amount of soil in the pot will differ from each person. Happy Peperonmia Propagating ❤️
Hi Yuanmei, It's better to have a fresh cutting and dipping it in rooting powder. However, a dropped leaft that is 1-2 days can still work. Make sure cut off the end if it's wilted and dip in rooting powder and way you go. Thanks for asking the question and support. Happy Peperomia Poropagation. ❤️

I did not see nodes on leaf stem..can I just cut leaf off and dip in root hormone and plant?

Can I do this in the winter inside the house with 20 Celsius inside?
Hi Christina, yes you can! 20 celsius is warm enough to propagate! Happy Peperomia Propagating ! ❤️
@@PlantNationMinh thank you 💜💜💜
Found your video by chance. May I know how to water the cut leaf in the propagation pot. How frequent and how much?

Can i propagate in water? Instead of putting the cutting in the soil?
Hi Yes , you can propagate peperomia in water and the transfer to soil. Happy Peperomia Gardening ❤️
does the cut need to be fresh or can it be a leaf that dropped 1-2 days old?
