On April, 14, I cut two Polybotrya leaves in half and made a mini greenhouse out of a recycled salad container. When I checked them yesterday, all of them had roots. Super exciting!!
@@BudgetBotany Thanks. When I first saw those shiny leaves sticking out all over the place, I knew that I had to try my had at growing them from cuttings. The potential to have four just makes it even better.
Does this plant get confused for the pelea peperomiodes? This entire year I thought I had a peperomiodes which isn't the same same Peperomia. However I think I have the teardrop!! Do you know what I mean??
I have propagated it from a leaf in a stem and it worked just fine! I rooted the stems in water before planting them in soil and in a few weeks they all shot up leaves!
@@BudgetBotany yes, sometimes I forget about them and find some little leaves are growing with the roots under the water, they are really cute, for me it’s a very strong plant. But maybe is because I live in a place where it isn’t really cold. I hope you try it and show us, greetings from Mexico ☺️🇲🇽
@@rebecca5539 Now I also put the leaves in water (as some webs mentioned it) 2 days ago and no issue. May I ask whether it needs sunlight or not as I put it in the shade area where not getting sunlight. Thks in advance.

I did it!! I took 2 halfs and after a month both halves sprouts!! I wish I could post a pic. They are soooo cute!!
Congrats on the successful propagation!! 👏
I love that you left in the things you did wrong as well, a great way for us to learn what not to do as well !
Glad to hear that you like it :)
Great video! I watched a ton of these and this one is the best!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you. I didn't know I can grow with half leaf like this.
No problem, it's amazing how plants can grow like this!
@@BudgetBotany truly fascinating 😍
Thanks for your very helpful video. I´m looking forward to propagating mine now.
Hope your propagation goes well!
@@BudgetBotany Thanks, I hope so too! :)
Thank for sharing. I will try this method. 😊
Good luck!!

Hope it goes well!
Thank for the info God bless
Happy to help!
im thinking of propagating mind with a main stem but im not sure if itll work
I haven't tried that for this plant either but I know it works some other peperomia. If you do give this a try, I'd be curious to know how it goes!

Hi can i check what do you do with the leave cutting once the babies come? Leave it be or separate the babies out?
Hi! I like to leave the cutting there, and I only remove it when it comes off on its own.
@@BudgetBotany thank you! My leaves broke while transporting it in the car. Trying to salvage what I can. Thanks for the awesome content😄
Good luck and no problem!
I take leaves of my peperomia and put them in water, I never thought you can actually cut the leaves and propagate them like that c:
Is it easy to propagate them in water in your experience? I want to try it :)

@@rebecca5539 Thanks for letting me know! I'll give it a try the next time I propagate peperomias :)

@@cattymiew7445 I think it can tolerate low light but I'm not an expert
Does this grow in water?
I haven't really tried that, so I'm curious to see if anyone else knows :)
