Hey Lucia, thanks for the video! It was very helpful. I have this pepa for over a year now and it is my absolute favorite plant child. It has grown so much and is about 60 cm tall right now. Funny thing is that until today I had no idea what the name of the plant was 😂 I just stumbled upon an Instagram post and found it. Great video! my peperomia has little brown spots on the leaves. What is happening to it? and what can i do about it?
Went to Lowes today and this was the only plant that wasnt super basic and caught my attention. I didnt know anything about it so glad I found your video! Thanks! Now I just might go buy it havent decided yet.

I have the Raindrops pepperoni
Had it 3 days. The leaves are kinda curling up from the bottom. What's wrong
When I got mine they didn’t stand slowly over the lady couple months one is almost frilly standing and the other is about half standing half leaning. They are both in succulent mix, one in a plastic pot the other in terra-cotta and I don’t water much at all maybe once a week. Leafs on both started turning black and soft so I watered less once every 2 or more weeks and now one section even died at the base. Help please

In my living room winter time use to be around 16-16 celsius.
Just came across this video and loved it! Straight to the point and gave me all the info I needed! I got 2 a little over a month ago and they seem to be growing pretty well, apart from some of the leaves being soft and curling a little? Was wondering if you knew how to help with this? Hi Lucia, I have my peperomia for over a year, the bottom leaves start to get yellow but the top little ones are green. I thought I over water but if I stop water it for a while, the yellow leaves are drooping. What is wrong with mine?
Hola Lucia, mi peperomia polybotrya tiene sus hojas nuevas muy pegadas al tallo principal, las hojas se retuercen abrazándose al tallo y están algo deformadas. Esto es parte del crecimiento de esta planta? Tengo muchas plantas donde las hojas nacen totalmente enrolladas pero con esta tengo totalmente mis dudas. No he podido encontrar información sobre esto y quizá alguien por aquí tenga una experiencia similar o sepa mas que yo! Gracias el video me fue muy útil cuando adquirí la plantita!

Me encantó que incluyeras lo del sustrato, es info super útil ! Se agradece el detalle. No tengo esta variedad de peperomia pero si otras, e imagino que los cuidados son similares. Cuando crees vos que es mejor replantar ? Tengo algunas plantas en las que noto que el sustrato se compacta demasiado, tanto asi que se separa de la misma maceta. No estoy del todo seguro de si debo cambiarles el sustrato por alguno con mas perlita, que me recomendas ?

Hmm la manera en la que yo reviso si mis plantas necesitan ser trasplantadas es con el método de las raíces... Y trato de ver si están creciendo al rededor de mi sustrato o saliendo por los hoyos en la maceta.. Muchas veces el que el sustrato se compacte tanto, también puede significar que si necesita ya un cambio, para darle más espacio a las raíces y que el agua pueda llegar a ellas. Dime si esto ayuda.

I need major help with mine! Since I got it, it just keeps losing leaves and idk what to do. They're curling under, which I assume means it needs water, but then when the leaves fall off it puts me in mind that it is rotting. The only ones left at this point are the very top leaves. They also have this little bumpy surface too that I know they aren't supposed to have. I'm normally very food with plants, but this one is stumping me.
The new leaves on mine are growing folded as it’s getting too overcrowded in the middle so they can’t grow taller. Would it be better if I propagate the leaves blocking growth or repot into a bigger pot?

So, my poly was doing really well for months. And few days ago I noticed the leaves are really soft and not firm anymore. I only water a bit once a week when the soil is dry. It isnt rootbound or anything.. any suggestions? I remember the leaves always felt firm

Hmmm, this may actually be related to watering still.. Either over watering or under watering... I went on a trip for two weeks, and my friend didn't see my peperomia.. So I just noticed, her leaves were soft because she was missing water... I prefer to water from the bottom, because then I know the roots are actually getting the water... From the top it may actually go to the sides and not get to the roots.. Here is a video on bottom watering : ruclips.net/video/D_0B3UJgGhU/видео.html
This may also be due to overwatering though... Make sure to check the soil all the way to your second knuckle, to make sure that the soil is dry in between waterings... How is she doing now?

como y cuando recomiendas poner en "soil" mi Raindrop que tengo "propagating" en agua por 4 meses... intente hacer el cambio a la tierra o "soil" (en ingles) una que tenia 2 meses en agua con mucha raiz con "hijitos" pero se me hizo negra y la bolvi a poner en el agua y sigue echando raiz... no quiero que se me muera, ayuda porfis! ♥
Siii... Te entiendo... A veces cambiar nuestras plantas a tierra puede ponerlas en estrés y a veces puede ser demasiado para ellas... Cuando yo pongo las mías en tierra despues de estar en agua, trato de hacer una transición muy lenta... Puedes ir agregando un poquito de tierra al agua (algunas personas hacen esto poco a poco) para ir acostumbrando a la planta... I have had my poly for about 4 months and her leaves never get as firm and green as yours!! i repotted her because her roots were all around her nursery pot but I want to convert to bottom watering since i think it might help her roots grow and her leaves become more firm. so do you think i could repot her or should i wait for a while? also the video you have for repotting pilers, can i use that method for her? i never know how to be careful and get all the soil out of her roots :(

Question, when you say filtered lighting, is it ok to put in on my desk where the sun will hit it through two windows in the afternoon? Or you mean bright indirect lighting?
She meant , bright indirect light. If your window has thin layer of cover, it’s better. Avoid direct sunlight.

A friend of mine took care of my Peperomia Polybotrya this summer during the pandemic and all of the leaves fell off. They are starting to grow back now. Do you have any idea why that might have happened? (I don’t want to make the same mistake!)

I realized after some trial and error that when the leaves are soft it means it needs water. So just a good watering will make the leaves get hard and rigid again. I used to think I was overwatering it hence withholding from watering it which made it even worse and it even lost the bottom leaves, but now thats how i test if it needs water, by squeezing a bit the leaves to see if they are soft or not. Hope this helps :)
Hi Lucia! I realize this video is quite old, but im hoping you could help : ) I was just given this tiny, maybe 2 inch pot, peperomia coin. I've done research but most info is for mature and established plants. This little guy is well, little haha Also the tag said "shade to partial shade" for light. Do you think thats because its super tiny still? I have it near an east facing window but grouped with other plants, so not direct with the light.
If you have any tips or advice, Id be so grateful...its super cute and I'd hate to kill it : (

Hmmm OK this may be related to too much sunlight (south facing windows tend to get the most sunlight)... However, it may be related to other things... Do you have Instagram? Maybe you can send a picture and we can try to figure it out together ♥️

Hi I loved the video, but I still see a problem with my peperomia, and the thing is that it's been growing two new leafs but about a week ago I noticed that they both started curling and now they are very curly at the bottom tip and the top of the leaf and I haven't found an answer anywhere

Hi!! My name is Gonzalo from Chile. I have a peperomia since 1 or 2 months and it has slowly deteriorated. The leaves are closing and I really don't know what it is. I have it besides a window, no direct sunlight and the soil had perlite, sand and compost. I water it once a week. Maybe you can help me out. =( Good video!
Hiii! Sorry to hear this about your peperomia! Hmm try checking the soil every week, this may be related to too much water... I always check with my finger just in case, as too much water doesn't keep them happy..
Another reason may be related to nutrient deficiency... My peperomia also had curly leaves this year, we gave her 1-1-1 fertilizer and it seems to be doing way better :)

I think you need to let the compost dry out a bit and not water so often... especially during the colder Winter months.

If you are forgetful with watering, it may be under watered. My watermelon peperomias leaves get SUPER soft when it needs water!

Hii! I have never used liquid sea weed. However, I have heard it is really good for the plants... Hmm I would check anyways and go slowly, as the peperomia retains water in the leaves.. Let me know how it goes ♥️🌿!

Why is my peppermint leaves turned yellow, and falling off?
Mine has little bumps on the top of the leaves. I did not notice them when I brought her home. I feel like they’ve just popped up. What do they mean? I feel like it’s definitely something I’m doing wrong. I tried to get answers from google with no luck. Can you help me? 💚
it might mean edema from overwatering. make sure you dry out in between waterings!

I have the same problem, but I haven't even watered mine because the soil was moist when I purchased it. I just bought mine a week ago and those bumps weren't even there! Do the bumps on the leaves clear out eventually? What can I do?

This plant will wilt if you over water, I nearly kill mine, thinking it needed more water. Best to grow in clay pot, I find it easier to control the humidity, if drying out to fast I put it in cover pot to slow down the evaporation, can’t wait to let it grow bigger.

Bought one for myself. One for my mom. My mom's is going superbly, mine is dying. I didn't give it too much light, not much sun, just light. So many leaves have fallen and the rest are floppy and lifeless, I forsee a soon death 🥲🥺 my mom waters it 1 per week, so do I.. the soil gets dry SUPER fast.. maybe its cause of winter.. idk.. my mom's is looking amazing tho..
The only plant that I’ve struggled with is peperomia poly. I really don’t understand what it really need. I gave less humid, they r not happy, i gave humid, they turn brown and drop leaves, i leave them alone, they still dying, i water them with rainwater, they not happy either. All i want is toss them in my trashcan , it just hurting my eyes
