The inability to modify reservation times was my biggest gripe about Genie Plus.

Thank you so much for this video! We just had our best Disney trip yet. We rode every ride at Hollywood Studios (plus saw a couple of shows) without early entry on a high crowd day. I was worried I would be on my phone all day, but it only took about 5 minutes of "playing the slots" to get a new time. We also had a great day at Epcot using this strategy to ride everything we wanted. This was our first time using Genie+. Thanks again!

Credit where credit is due - I totally stole that from our parking tram driver. 😂 “Please stay seated until we come to a full and complete stop. Not yeti. Nooooot yeeeeeti. Now you’re free to go!” 🤣 You can always count on the parking tram drivers for a good Dad joke.
Man, I wish they would have had this feature when I was there in October! Granted, the trade off is that it was cheaper then, but I probably would have gotten a lot more out of it with this system.

Thank you so much for all of your videos! I've been following you for months heading up to our trip next week (!). What do you recommend in terms of strategy if we start out at AK and hop to Epcot. Should I book my first LL in AK at 7am or just start booking for Epcot at 7am for a return time of after 2pm and keep stacking for the afternoon in Epcot, considering the heavy crowds these days?
Rob your videos are so awesome! We’re headed to Disney for the first time with our three young kids and Rise is a must-do for us at HS. We won’t have access to early entry. If we’re able to snag an ILL, are those times modifiable like the genie+ lightning lanes? If the ILL is sold out by the time park opens (Tues after Presidents’ Day), should our strategy be to start our day there?
Could you please go more into the idea of stacking with this new feature. That would be really helpful.

At the parks today and the app has already changed again!! I can’t do “edit selections” anywhere to focus on my favorite rides so I do have to scroll to find them. The modification section also looks a little different so I’m nervous to try it haha. Currently I don’t need to our first time is great!! Thanks for your amazing videos Rob they have given me so much confidence with Genie+!!!
Hi ElisaAnne - make sure you have set up the regular free Genie service. Main menu > My Disney Genie Day > Get started now. Hopefully that will fix it and allow you to edit your selections. Definitely use modify plan - it helps A LOT.

Great videos on Genie+! It is really helping with our upcoming trip planning. Question about the 2 hour window....did it change the time of your window when you booked the Navi Journey at 830 instead of 1130?
It wouldn't change that, but once he scanned in to Na'Vi River Journey he could book another LL, so the 2 hour window would be moot at that point.

We will be going to Disney next week. I plan on getting the genie +, but not everyone in my party will be riding every ride. (My mom won't go on rollercoasters, but the rest of us do.) Can you select which people in the party to apply to each ride? Or does it automatically calculate everyone linked to the account? (Yes, I already have everyone linked to my Disney account.)

Hey Rob! Love your videos!! I am bringing my family of 6 to Disney in January, and I am trying to figure out the best way to set up mobile pass. You mentioned at around 13:30 you and Eric were both modifying your reservation. Is there a way that both my wife and I can have our kids passes on mobile pass so that when we split up for rides we do not need to always have one of our phones? I haven’t found a good video to explain how to set this up where both of us can see our lightning lanes. Thanks! @earscouts
Does it ever happen that you use your genie+ to check into a LL before the 2 hour window? So can you then get a new reservation sooner than 2 hours?

Hi! I’ve been watching all your videos and you are SO helpful! Thank you! Would you still recommend booking an early lightning lane at 7am to try and get rolling early instead of being stuck with the 2 hours after park opening rule? Ex: I’m entering MK for early hours. Do I book Peter Pan for a 1230 at 7am and continue to modify and hope I get a time before 11a? Or instead do I book Mickey Minnie greet at 905 and then go for bigger rides later? Hope this makes sense! Thanks so much!!
Hi Kelsey! I always book at 7am if I plan to be in the park in the morning and I would say grabbing Mickey at Town Square makes sense first because it will run out of Lightning Lanes quickly most days. Good luck!

Thank you for the helpful video! Can you modify your reservation to a later time...or does it just show earlier times than current booking? We are not getting to MK until 3pm and I plan on booking at 7am but if I get a ride with a time before 3....can I modify it to an after 3pm time and continue to stack and modify so that they are all after we arrive in the park?
From my understanding, maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, if you don't have a park reservation for MK then the system won't allow you to book a LL there unless it's after 2pm. You have to keep refreshing until the return time is after 2pm and then it'll let you book it.
@Aliza Wachsstock We do have a park reservation for that day. Our flight just doesn't get in until 1 30pm. So I was hoping to stack in the morning but only ride times after 3pm.
Hi Alison! Yes, as long as you modify before it completely expires, you can continuously modify until you end up with rides that match your plans. I’d go ahead and start booking right at 7am and again every two hours, just making sure to modify them all later before they expire. You’ll have a great stack of rides when you arrive and that sounds like a great way to kick off your Disney vacation. 😃
Great stuff, as usual. Question - are we 100% certain on the two hour window time not changing after modifications? Just heard some other DW pros saying that it does affect that and changes to start at the time of the new modification change. Thanks!
Hmm - interesting. Disney is always changing Genie. I can confirm that this worked the last time I used the modify feature, but I’ll check this weekend to see if they changed it up. Thanks for this question so I know to look out for it. 😃

At least for now - they’re always changing things, but I’m hopeful this will stay as it is because it is really helpful.

I don't have a lot of luck in keeping the same time when playing the slot machine game. I see a time that looks great, click it and it changes to one that is hours later. Does that not happen to you? Is it because you are only looking for 1 or 2 guests?
Hi Angela - yes, this happens A LOT. Part of playing the Genie Slots is definitely tapping in quick enough to grab that great return time you uncovered. For us, it’s just become part of the game and we love the thrill of victory when we manage to score an amazing time. 😂 Thanks for watching! 😃
When you use a LL that you pay the extra $12 or whatever it is for does it set the 120 min timer? I plan to pay the extra for LL for Avatar but it doesn't seem fair for it to start the timer and block me from scheduling a Genie+ LL?

Thank you SO much for all of your tips! We recently went to Disney and had the best experience because we followed your helpful advice! My husband and I spent a week watching all of your videos. From everything we learned, we were able to ride all of the big rides we wanted twice each day and never waited any longer than 5-10 minutes in line per ride using Genie+. We were always towards the front of rope drop. Overall, a much better experience from when Disney had fast passes!
I’ll be their on Friday and I’m definitely purchasing the genie 🧞♂️ plus, now that you explained this so clearly
