Shark is defenetly my favourite character now. His and Yumas tag duel was already really fun to watch but on top of that he didn't lose his character development and is now helping Yuma. I really enjoy it since it's not too fast a development but helps move the plot forward and spice it up a bit.

It's way worse than lava golem could ever be. That's the case because it prevents special summons and deals more damage than lava golem. I just wish they included the extra 2000 damage when acid golem is destroyed in the irl version.
Face it genius you've been played :v I expected that duel to last 2 episodes or 3 but damn kite sure did play it well and shark expected certain moves but failed. Even I was surprised.

@@oresti9271 They are more their own characters than Kaiba or Chazz rivals. Shark is more of planner than Chazz who also changes his style more and he is less of a comedic character. Shark is also a stronger rival than Chazz who only had 1 tome he should have one while Shark beat Yuma once and had a second time where he would have beat him. While Kite may favor dragons, has a cool coat, and a younger brother he is also very different from Kaiba. Kaiba had an ego of immense size and was almost always selfish even after becoming a new man. Kite on the other hand while he does villainous stuff for a longer period of time than Kaiba (he is off stealing souls for almost half the series) he also is more tragic and human. While he may duel selfishly, his motives are more selfless, and unlike Kaiba he became willing to acknowledge his mistakes and accept help when he needed it.
Basically, what happens in this and the next couple episodes is Caswell's fault. If he hadn't told Yuma to take off the Key, Shark wouldn't have lost his soul and Astral wouldn't have been kidnapped.
No kidding. Had he not overstepped regarding the issue of Yuma's Golden Key and forced him to remove it under threat of barring him from the pool, Orbital wouldn't have found it. Plus, it sounds like the previous incident was Caswell being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Always keep the concept of Chaos Theory in mind.
This episode solidifies it, kite is a magical girl. He has a cute transformation that only changes his clothes. He has a comic relief robot companion. He flies around the city fighting evil (numbers) Kite is a magical girl.

@@Sulfayit Though I have a deep love for GX, I can't look over the fact that 5ds had a tight story that was set in motion right from episode 1, and over the entire runtime of all the seasons I can count 4 or 5 needless filler episodes. Plus Yusei is objectively the most interesting character with him being an outlaw living on the streets in a dystopian society. Where as GX's entire first season was mostly just filler episodes, and the character of Jaden didn't become interesting for me until season 3 where he began to take a dark turn.

Then by sorta barian arc kinda thing I'd say it's yuma tbh, then once do thousand gives power it's shark. @@Sulfayit Though I have a deep love for GX, I can't look over the fact that 5ds had a tight story that was set in motion right from episode 1, and over the entire runtime of all the seasons I can count 4 or 5 needless filler episodes. Plus Yusei is objectively the most interesting character with him being an outlaw living on the streets in a dystopian society.
Where as GX's entire first season was mostly just filler episodes, and the character of Jaden didn't become interesting for me until season 3 where he began to take a dark turn.
