The lighting in Dubai and the airport are stunning! Some of the best I've ever seen. Why does the airport lighting look so much better than just about any other airport I've seen?

@@SJR_Media_Group It is definitely beautiful (I've only ever been in the airport though) but every good thing has a downside sadly :/ I would call Dubai more of a disguise for what really happens in the country outside of tourism.

His dad had to fly there to get him out of jail. Country is typical for other middle eastern countries, human rights are questionable.

Whats not to like about Dubai... it is one of most amazing cities in entire world. Landings in daylight or night are simply stunning.

This happens at a lot of public airports in the USA where there is an ILS. Not unusual at all.
I'm in UK so it is definitely not usual, and I know they are approach lights. Plus I'm not sitting in the cockpit to see them.
