Anything that is RAM compatible has got to be good. So much choice there Simon, stand by for incoming orders 👍❤️
Very excited about the fridge divider. I can’t tell you how irritating it is for bottles to be falling around in there when I drive. Also pleased to see the clip-in ram divider. The LR version is about £140 each, which is madness.
A great surprise! Thanks guys, really appreciate the reviews.
Hi Tim you are most welcome and sorry it took me a couple of weeks to get round to doing the video.
Tyler is leaving me so i have been recruiting a new assistant for the workshop....all will be revealed this week !
If the drinks holder fits the Discovery 5 fridge, I want one!! Excellent designs of all items!
Tim had a Disco 5 to play with recently - let me see if it fits the D5
Posted at 1am this morning lol
Ingenious. Wish I had a Land Rover to use them!
I like the new gadgets 🚘🚙🚗👍👍👍
Nice gadgets! Are there simular for Discovery Sport?
Simon, can the Ram mount be fitted on other side of the steering wheel next to the drivers door? Hoping to mount my Garmin GPS there.
Yes it can - you need to remove the insert but it fits fine.
Yes totally true in the MY23 they don‘t have the click and go anymore also no charging point in the seats. Saving on chips… and this is Germany
What about the passenger side air bag. Will it deploy ok with all these cup holders etc in the way?
Yes. As mentioned before, all my designs take safety in to account. The dash airbags are perforated through the top of the dash (up and out), and discussed with JLR. This is why you'll see my designs avoid the use of anything near the window and top dash. Many thanks, its a very important point.
Hi 👋 very good 👍 acc. But I need to upgrade rear led tailgate light 💡.
Thanks 💕💕🙏🙏
Simon…I have never been sure how 3D printing works and thought it was for small run preproduction because it looks to be quite a slow process and costly to make…but maybe I’m wrong again! If you have to make say, 100 of those fridge inserts, does it take hours or is it faster once set up after a first run? I am only interested in how that type of production works. 🙂🙂🙂
Hi Richard - Its a good question and I will try and make a few points .
1 - You can make stuff with 3D printing you cannot make any other way - for example you can actually print a ship inside a bottle. So this makes 3D printing the ONLY option sometimes
2 - 3D printing machines are getting cheaper and faster so production parts are now more possible
3 - One of our charger trays takes around 23 hours to print. For smaller items we group them together so they take around 23 hours for a batch to print - this means we only need to attend to the machines once every day. At the weekend we loads items that take 48 hours or more.
4 - some of our more popular items we 3D print we are moving to injection moulding. the 3D printers allow us to prototype the product and test the market before investing in tooling !
For the fridge Dividers, it takes me 9hrs to make 12 units. For the rear Click n Go Compatible adapters, I can print 64 in 22hrs, plus post processing time. My LED loadspace lights use 2 printed end clips, and I print 316 in 24hrs, and post process them in 3.5hrs. As Simon.says, 3D printing is a great way to produce parts in smaller scales, and varying designs and derivatives. Once you are selling thousands, it's better to pay for moulding and injection mould, although 3D printing can still produce parts that cannot be injection moulded. Cheers
@@Defender3d Thank you so much for this…I have often wondered how the process works and always thought it looked fine for prototype work but rather slow for series production. It is very interesting to see how you have to balance production capacity against demand…not easy! 😬😀
@@L663 Hello Simon…Thank you for explaining it for me which is very interesting. I have wondered how you 3D print enough stock but it is really needed for prototype work so must be very useful. It must be hard to price until demand takes off…..fascinating though. Thank you for this! 😀😀😀😀
Do we have any gadget which can work in tandem with existing screen as a secondary display for the passenger in the front ?
What would you like displayed on the 2nd screen ?
@@L663 anything in terms of movies from a storage device, hdmi connectivity to pick up from other external devices, but still can be concealed away when not in use. Something on those lines. Just a good use of that passenger space
Be good to see a 3d printed coat hanger rather jlrs
where can i get these in USA
PowerfulUK and ourselves ship yo the US daily.
Got 23 model year 90 it has no ram mount
I am not sure why Land Rover decided to remove the "click & go" mount from the rear seat - you can add the dock that fits between the headrest posts.
Whats the address of Tims wrbsite?
You can see Tims products at DEFENDER3D.co.uk or you can purchase them on our website too PowerfulUK.com

Fair point - but some people spend hours in their car for work and business and these small things can make a big difference. My commute is 7 minutes so my need for these is limited. However most cars have some of these items as standard... Rear cup holders - especially useful for the kids - none in the Defender. Cup holders for those with 3 seats at the front - none in the Defender. We will be back onto roof lights and rear steps and bike carrier soon..
@@L663 on the point of bike carrier, I bought the LR carrier (circa £600+) VPLER0174.
Two issues I have, first none of the electrics work, LR dealership installed the removable tow bar kit, heading to dealership on 14th May to investigate.
Next is (my fault) whilst the max load is 51kg, the max single bike weight is 20kg and with both batteries removed my e-bike is nearly 26kg (R&M Superdelite).
Bike mounts off the rear wheel mount look like a pretty good option for standard bikes 👍
Should add, the trailer loom is plugged in and both fuses related to trailer electrics are ok - so a mystery.
