Don’t know what the heck happened at 19:59 but if someone has a video editing software they recommend we’ll listen 😅
We in north we use the power of 4 , four time the distance to start, four times the distance to stop!
Loved seeing your golden! Ours looks the same when we get back from a trip. All smiles!
He’s like this all the time! 😇
I’ve only ever been in a Tesla once (Uber) but I love watching these Tesla road trips 😆 Maybe you can plan a roadtrip up the Oregon coast to Cannon Beach, it’s my favorite drive (once out of cali that is). Also some of the editing was really funny in this one, a great Saturday morning “car”toon to watch while I drink my coffee 😊
Haha thank you!! We’re trying to get better always. That would be an awesome road trip but after this one we’re done for awhile 😂
You can check @EverydayChris got a video to Cannon beach road trip to Oregon with his Model Y AWD.
Let it snow, let us snow !!!! Glad your all well
Ugh!! Haha thank you!
I love your road trip videos! I just wanted to let you know that your road trip videos really helped me understand and trust my '23 MYP when I drove it halfway across the country when I moved from TX to Vegas.
Thank you! Glad to hear that! I know range anxiety is a big thing but with how accurate the Tesla’s estimates are and how reliable the charging network is, you can feel very confident in road tripping with the navigation’
@@vegasteslafamily I was so nervous at the beginning of my trip, but after the second road trip day, I started to see that it was very accurate, and I started becoming more confident. I was quite impressed with how accurate it is and I trust the car completely now. :). Before this move, I only drove my car around the city, but feel like I didn't really know my Tesla until now and I love it even more than I did before. :)
fun to watch! great job guys :)
Thank you! 😁
I used to love crossover episodes on TV when I was younger. This video was a great crossover with several other content creators I subscribe to that frequent CO and Nebraska. Great video!
Who are the creators? Just curious as I know a lot as well! 😁
@@vegasteslafamily The two main ones from middle America are Kyle Connor and the Out of Spec network and All Electric Family www.youtube.com/@AllElectricFamily. If you watch a couple of their videos, you will here the pronunciation you struggled with. ;-)
Great video, really fun to watch but I don’t envy that driving in CO! Glad you made it home to the dogs safely!
Definitely was an experience to say the least! Thank you!
Great JoJo story!!! Glad to see you made it through all the nasty weather. My wife and daughter are driving from AZ to Pittsburgh next month in my '23 Model 3 RWD. It's not a long range, but I'm confident in the network to make it a breeze!!!
That’ll be a fun trip!!
@@vegasteslafamily - I look forward to it too!
Just amazing to watch
Thank you!
You guys are awesome!
@@realunitedfly thank you!
Thanks for sharing this epic drive.
I look forward to when
Haha! It’ll only get better from here. But honestly, already at each stop by the time by the time we went to the restroom and got a snack or drink, the car was ready. So 15 mins vs 5 mins wouldn’t make a difference for us or most road trippers. But for ride share drivers, absolutely
I’m hoping to go to CO in June. I hope it snows then too!! 🤣🤣 I LOVE the cold!
I sure hope it doesn’t in JUNE 😂
Great trip! Glad they didn’t shut the highway down on I-70. Looked pretty bad.
Thanks! Honestly with the number of accidents we saw and how bad it was, I was surprised it was open
Thanks for the return trip! I told you I’m about 2 weeks behind on my content 😂
Omg ❤️ appreciate you my dude!!
I have lived my entire life in Colorado and have even had snow in June. Colorado weather is crazy but I prefer it over the hot heat like Las Vegas 😂
That’s crazy! Obviously we were not expecting that kind of snow 😅 we definitely prefer the heat!
I think it's hilarious when you guys slap your food 😂
😂 we like trying new things
Mics sound great!
Thank you! 😁
13:01 Oh-ga-la-la. I drove my new Y back from Denver yesterday. Stayed at AmericInn by chance with superchargers. They offer $7 breakfast for Tesla owners who stop for a charge. The bathroom off the lobby is nice. We had to dodge hail twice on I-80.
So we were close with the pronunciation? 😂 definitely a fun town. Good to know! I-80 is crazy lol
Looking forward to a Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe road trip video soon
Do you have access to our notes with our summer plans? 🤔😂 coming soon!
I cant believe you said you might be the only Tesla in Nebraska LOL there are thousands of us on the roads in Omaha alone . that super charger you used is always empty in the mornings
plus a lot of the locals charge at home .
We didn’t see any! 😂 but that’s great to hear
HyVee is a pretty big grocery chain in the Midwest. 5 of the Supercharger stations in Kansas City are at HyVee stores.
Didn’t k ow that but figured!
I CAN SEE THE INSPIRATION YOU GUYS HAVE FROM RYAN TRAHAN 😀😀
😁 he’s one of our favs to watch
You guys look like my parents. My mom is Asian and my dad looks like my dad. My parents were able to marry because New Hampshire because New Hampshire didn’t have a ban on interracial marriages. My parents will celebrate their 60th anniversary next week. Keep on Vlogging!!!! 😅
Dang that’s crazy to hear! Congrats to them!! And thank you 😁
I would live in Edwards Colorado any day of the week over Las Vegas! :)
Ha! To each their own!
My family live in Chicago and vacation in Gulf Shores AL. We find hotels with destination chargers. Saves a little money and charge while we sleep
We would’ve done this if we didn’t have free supercharging! We tried, whenever we were ready to stop the places with destination chargers were either off the highway or like twice the price for a night
@@vegasteslafamily or the spots are blocked by ICE vehicles. I get it
I do all the driving in my Model Y on road trips. Well, Autopilot/FSD does the driving. My wife is always sleeping. I bought a messaging seat cover for her and it knocks her right out LOL!!!.
@@KineticEV haha I’m lucky she drives! Also, massage seat cover? This is a thing?? 🤔🤔
You can drag the heated seats on the screen to have them left and right. Separate from the 5 things you can have there. Just drag one to next to the temp and another one on the right side.
And also is good to swipe right on the music until you see the TPMS. On a long trip is good to know the tire pressure at all times. Especially when switching from 70F to 32F. Low pressure can also pop your tires. And the car is heavy, lots of pressure on the tires.
Ooo this is a good tip! Other than this trip, we live in vegas so we don’t use those much!
Another good tip! We did check when we got to the cold!
Nice fun video. I just had a bad experience driving into a hail storm on rt 66. Windows fogged up so bad i couldn't see a thing. Also, did you have winter tires or all weather?
Sounds scary! We have all weather
I've made the Vegas trip from Omaha many times and have taken all three routes i still think the best route is through Wyoming even though its a little longer . the southern route is trash .
How much longer is that northern route!
What do you use to clean the windshield on your trips during stops ?
Sorry forgot to link that! It’s this bottle that’s just a few bucks on Amazon, surprised how well it did for how cheap it is
amzn.to/4ack9dm
Next time you stop to charge at the Kum &Go in Des Moines, walk across the street to “Smokey D’s BBQ”. You guys like BBQ and it’s pretty good !
We didn’t even see this! Definitely will check it out
We came the opposite way earlier this week (Idaho to NY). Stayed in North Platte. The Runzas are really nice. Coming home we were 1-2 hours ahead of the storms. This was the first time in our 30 years that my wife ever told me to "go faster." BUT - can you explain the charge rates in Nebraska? When I got home I saw for N. Platte-> (kWh x $) 4x.23+11x.45+10x.74+2x1.20 = 27 kWh for $15.67 or 55 cents/kWh. Lincoln NE was even worse came to 86 cents per kWh! WTF?! BTW you should have visited the Pony Express Museum in Gothenburg. The fellow working there was great and the stuff inside really cool.
I wish we stopped in Gothenburg! 86 cents per kWh is crazy. Is that accurate? We have free supercharging so I didn’t even bother to look at costs
@@vegasteslafamily Oh I misread it. It looks like they charge by the minute, and I didn't write down how much I actually charged at each stop. The Lincoln, NE West O Street in the Navigator only says the rate is 0.23-1.25. My report says 2 minutes @ $0.47 per min + 8 mins at $0.76 + 4 @ $1.25. And cost me $12.02 so that was 86 cents per minute. OK, looking at the non-Nebraska chargers I was getting average 2kWh/minute on my Y/LR so I guess 43 cents per kWh. No explanation other than it is tier 1, 2, 3 charge rates. Ugh.
In the storm. Did the Tesla display cars in front of you. Or the central display didn’t work cuz of the storm?
There were times it gave me low visibility warning but it always showed the cars. Idk if the distances were the same - I was so focused on surviving lol
New model Y long range owner here too…how’d it handle in the snow?
We were pretty cautious because we’re from vegas and don’t see snow like ever. But it was great.
how much did it cost for the whole trip like for the superchargers like ik if you used gasoline cars it would be so much higher just want to know how much it cost for this long of a road trip for just charging the car throughout the trip
So we had free supercharging for this trip, but last time we took this route about a year ago, we paid like $150-200. It depends on the time of day and rates, like if you were to overnight it you’d get much cheaper charging rates
I have dji but I prefer my go-pro
Go pro for the mic? I didn’t know they made them if that’s what you mean!
What do you guys use Long Range?
Yes long range AWD
Filipinoooo 👍🏻
Salamat!
Is your model y AWD?
Yes long range AWD
Thinking of getting a Tesla Model Y. What was the total cost of all the Supercharging for your 1800 mi. Adventure? Thanks.
Hey! Sorry we had free supercharging for this trip. However, last time we took this route it was about $150-$200. It depends on rates, which depend on time of day at most superchargers.
Did you guys chained up for that snow?
Nope!
Umm... she's TIRED alot? Baby on the way?? 😊
1800 miles in 2 days I’d be tired too 😆
And extra hungry...😮😮😮 Baby signs to me.
No no no lol
YES!!! Give us some grandkids !!!😂😂
I didn't know they are married ??
Does that truck fridge build up heat in the truck, even with those little pads ?
It does but it's not high heat. There is enough air flow that it doesn't affect the operation
Very little! I feel like just a small crack of ventilation goes a long eay
@@vegasteslafamily so if you have a truck rubber mat, should you not put it down so you don’t trap the heat in ?
@@bt4b4 our trunk liner didn’t impact it much with the pads it came with
You use fsd on your trips?
This one we did on the way to Chicago with the free trial!
Anyone else notice the $20 batteries at 2:20??
Dang we did not 👀
Wonder if it can make it by FSD
The day FSD can drive through this snow storm is the day I drop 15k on it
You can’t go on The weather app Colorado can have all four seasons in one day nice and sunny one minute and whiteout the next
Yep we learned that the hard way
@@vegasteslafamily I used to live in Colorado Springs which is south of Denver on I 25 and it got to the point where the weather man was basically saying that it is Colorado I could tell what we expect but it could be the opposite
@@Docduderjr yep I 100% believe that lol
Do u guys let auto pilot do
Most of the work ?
Absolutely
you left your address in the video when you were showing something on the screen. not sure if its an issue or not
Send us some fan mail 😁 but thanks for the heads up
18:27 🦆
Good catch 😂
is that your daughter on a passenger seat?
Nope lmao
She definitely pregnant.
Nope nope nope

Would have never known this!
