- Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of “genocide” by hundreds of pro-Palestine protestors who barracked his constituency offices on Saturday.
Around 500 activists holding banners shouted: “Keir Starmer you can’t hide, you’re supporting genocide”, after marching from outside Chalk Farm station in north London.
There were also chants of "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" and "Free, free Palestine" as the protest made its way towards the Labour leader’s offices under the close eye of police officers.

Protesting is legal in England and Wales, the right to protest is protected under the European Convention of Human Rights. However, this only applies to peaceful protest and does not extend to any violence inflicted or damage caused during a protest. This right is not absolute and can be limited in certain circumstances. Except when it's this lot here.
The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and the Public Order Bill have both had a significant impact on the organisation of protests and demonstrations. Interesting then, that the mob here, and the Metropolitan Police, disregard what constitutes peaceful protest. These people have got away with climbing all over our war memorials, harassing the public, and shouting and scuffling with police officers. One law for one...

It’s pretty clear here, at this demonstration, there are insufficient numbers of Police Officers to deal with any offences that may have been committed. I’m judging this purely on the short clip that has been featured. If there aren’t sufficient numbers present then all they can do is try and contain the situation.
