Lol Vanya turned her clothes and violin white while she was playing it wasn't a symbol for her being purified it was just a show of her power and it also looks cool. Vanya in the comics is called white violin so it was only natural for her to wear white in the TV series as well.

something I realized with this videos is that Reginald did everything to stop the apocalypse, he killed himself to bring them back together, but if he hadn't die, Klaus wouldn't go into his office, steal his stuff and then throw out the diary, the diary Harold found and used to unleash Vanya's powers. one more time someone by trying to avoid an event ended up causing it. also means all the years of training aka abusing he put the children through was for nothing (as always cause not even the end of the freaking world can justify this), I just hate him so much.

The trigger for Vanya since episode 8 has been betrayal. Her father betrayed her, her sister was made to betray her, Harold Jenkins betrayed her. Luther betrayed her, her other brothers didn't try to help or even understand her (at least from her point of view) when she was put back in that sound proof cell. To her eyes, it looked like they just ignored her screams and apologies and walked away. So they betrayed her too. And they did it again while she was in the middle of performing at her concert. They tried to ambush her. Even Mr. Popo, whom she thought of like a father figure/friend betrayed her by helping Hargreeves in experimenting on, and eventually suppressing/neutering her when it was discovered that she was too powerful.
luther is aggravating af right now because in times of stress, he reverts to what he knows best: follow dad's orders. since he's the last one to realize that their dad didn't actually care about their well-being (seeing as it was literally, like, 48 hours earlier), he didn't even really wrestle with it, just immediately jumped to what reginald did previously, to hell with what everyone else thinks
Vanyas' eyes look like that because she internalized her power rather than pulling sound from outside of her body around her and using it as a weapon, she is instead using her heartbeat which makes constant sound and making it a weapon. That's how she escaped her cell. And she's destroying the house because every room has bad memories.
There's a really cool easter egg in an earlier episode that I noticed on my second watch through. It actually foreshadows Pogo's death. There's a stag head mounted to the wall with a fur draped over it 💀 I'm just impressed with the amount of detail they put into this show!
the reason luther makes all these terrible decisions is because his father manipulated him his whole life into thinking he was solely responsible for everyone in the team. if he fell out of line it would result in people dying, maybe even his siblings. those deaths would be his fault. so he isn’t able to question his father’s motives or rebel bc of those stakes he’s been brainwashed from birth into believing. unlike all of the other siblings he hasn’t processed or been able to understand the fact that he was abused by his father. to go against his fathers beliefs, even after death, would be to understand he has been enforcing them unjustly. not only would he have to understand, for the first time ever, that he was abused by his father, but also that he was used as tool to continue his siblings’ abuse. all by a father he loved and admired his whole life. it would mean having to accept that his father never loved him back
Thank you! People blame Luther and act as though he's a devil, but he was just as abused as the rest of them and hasn't come to terms with it. The others all have while Luther thinks it was justified and okay because it was "for a reason". He was a hero, they were training, they were never " just kids"... Luther acted how he did because of Reginald's manipulation and lifelong abuse, just like Vanya did. Pogo was right in that none of the children were to blame because Reginald made them do those things and they are unlearning it now as adults.
It's painful to accept that your parents made mistakes, or are incapable of being the people you want/need them to be. Holding on hurts, letting go hurts. But I wished Luther would've realized it earlier, like his other siblings. He followed his father's orders to a T and his sibling still ended up dying :/ still he wasn't disillusioned & followed after Reginald, bc their dad is a master manipulator... I think both Hazel and Cha Cha must have had powers because of how she was still able to move and fight after the car wreck and Hazel also fought Luther and held his own. Maybe the Commission gave them souped-up bodies or they are among the unaccounted for 36 other children who were born on the same day and same way as the Umbrella Academy 7. I'm so glad you decided to react to this show because it's been fantastic. Season 2 is so epic. You have to feature it on your channel. Luther was definitely my least favorite character this season because Vanya was still showing signs that she could be reached even after killing some people but he just had to make it worse. Allison is the one who probably should be in charge all the time.

At first Luther was just there and I didn't really care about him but towards the end I was blaming him so much because YEA ultimately Luther's decision to lock Vanya up is what leads to pogo and grace dying. Also the fact that he thinks alison will just be on his side is just pure comedy

She even smiled a little, when she first saw Allison watching in the crowd.
It's hilarious that you said that they couldn't stop a chunk of the moon from falling to the earth, but in the comics Klaus literally stops that piece of the moon with his telekinesis and that's how he saves everyone and stop the apocalypse. "Now whose the lookouts!" Indeed.

I'm feeling so bad about Luther because I know what's going on in his brain during this episode ... Every Hargreeves childs was abused by their father, Luther in a different way than his siblings. He was Number One not to uniting them, but dividing them (because Divide to Conquer), He is the "favorite", the only one who had time and attention from Mr Hargreeves but He never really saw that his siblings didn't (just like they never really saw that Vanya was all alone). That's also why he stayed so long. He was used as an example so the others had to feel bad about themselves. I was a Luther, with a father who used me to make my older sister feel like crap and he did his job so well that I didn't made peace with her before very recently, at the age of 31, with still good memories with our dad that she doesn't have ! Luther just began to understand what his father did to him, He needs time to grow. éè He had none during this crazy week. So yes, what he did was very stupid (very, VERY stupid) but I had to say something in his defence. ^^"
Im 10000% team Vanya, literally after all of that she just wanted to play her concert that all of her family didnt care about and they came there just to capture her and Allison only smiled and Vanya was already happy and they had to destroy all of that. Luther put her in a freaking cage and after all if they just waited for her to finish playing and Allison went to talk to her everything would be fine. I'm feeling so bad about Luther because I know what's going on in his brain during this episode ... Every Hargreeves childs was abused by their father, Luther in a different way than his siblings. He was Number One not to uniting them, but dividing them (because Divide to Conquer), He is the "favorite", the only one who had time and attention from Mr Hargreeves but He never really saw that his siblings didn't (just like they never really saw that Vanya was all alone). That's also why he stayed so long. He was used as an example so the others had to feel bad about themselves. I was a Luther, with a father who used me to make my older sister feel like crap and he did his job so well that I didn't made peace with her before very recently, at the age of 31, with still good memories with our dad that she doesn't have ! Luther just began to understand what his father did to him, He needs time to grow. éè He had none during this crazy week. So yes, what he did was very stupid (very, VERY stupid) but I had to say something in his defence. ^^"

Im 10000% team Vanya, literally after all of that she just wanted to play her concert that all of her family didnt care about and they came there just to capture her and Allison only smiled and Vanya was already happy and they had to destroy all of that. Luther put her in a freaking cage and after all if they just waited for her to finish playing and Allison went to talk to her everything would be fine. They spent all that time thinking how to stop the apocalypse and if they were just nice to Vanya (not even very nice, just not total assholes) it would stop everything
