@@acottonsock It's honestly amazing how many more traits and interactions the Sims 3 has compared to the Sims 4. Sure, the build mode is pretty lacking aside from the color wheel and majority of the objects are very early 2010's, but that's what mods are for! :D
everything in the sims 4 is objectively prettier, obviously, but i still like the realistic approach the ts3 team took with the sims appearance more. i wish the sims from ts4 were less cartoonish
I feel like it's becoming harder and harder to find decent mods for The Sims 3 now as people migrate to The Sims 4. But, it's so nice to see people upload The Sims 3 content in 2021 and where to find more mods for the game.

Installing 2 default skins at the same time can cause conflicts which can lead to crashing, least to my understanding. And I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see people still using some of my old CC, especially the footies. Those things were about 2 weeks of frutsration, but well worth every hour.

I know this is an old video but thanks so much for making it! I installed Lazy Duchess' most recent smooth patch and their custom launcher and on top of my game running smoother with that and Nraas, now I can make the Sims look better with default replacements! (also I didn't know about the eyebrows either, that's awesome lol)
I just went back to playing Sims 3 again, I get bored with Sims 4 even with Mods. I cannot stand loading screens everywhere you want to go. The open world just makes playing Sims 3 so much better. I definitely am looking to add more CC to my game and already added a few good Mods, but honestly Sims 3 was and is great even without Mods.

A problem I came across was with sliders but I figured out with NRAAS Integrated you can change the amount of sliders allowed in the game so they all work if you end up with a ton you like.
I started out with sims 4 and i thought ive seen everything sims has to offer , then i heard sims 3 is better than 4 and i thought its just nostalgia thats talking, regardless i tried it and the very first thibg that blew my mind was it was a *real* open world not instanced bs like in sims 4,and my mind got blown even more when i saw how extensive the careers are and the university life was amazing i kept torturing everyone its a lot of fun

The only reason I never went back to Sims 3 after 2014 was because the Sims were sooo ugly and plastic looking, but you literally just saved the game with this tutorial it doesn't even look like the same game. Some of these sims are so realistic, this is probably what EA meant to do back in the day but couldn't

At 35:05 it actually is kind of accurate towards how genetics are in real life, sons tend to look much more like their mothers and daughters tend to look much more like their father.

This video was really helpful! I love the skills especially. I do have a couple questions though. How do I remove the ea lashes so the S club lashes arent layed over them? Also (and this is my greatest pain of all) what the heck do I do about the shadows in game? I have lighting mods and everything, my bloom is gone, but the shadows in game will take sims that were absolutely gorgeous in CAS and make them look utterly deranged! I have no idea what to do about it and it's driving me crazy!

how do you get it run? it is sooo laggy for me. i did the CPU numbers to 3 GPU tool thing 4 GB patch nrass mods and some fixes. my time traveler is also a giant blob and i am gettting snipe by falling rocks.... sims 4 runs better for me
Idk if this works for TS3, but on TS2 to make default replacement thumbnails match the actual items in the CAS menu, you can just completely delete the thumbnail folder. When you open the game again, it replaces all the thumbnails with the new updated versions. Again, I do this on TS2. Not sure if it works on TS3.
Are there any good eyeliners that work with these lashes? I have multiple eyeliners in my game but they don't work unless I take off the lashes.. I'd rather use both 😓

I would love to play the Sims 3 (it was my first Sims game when I was a child) but it sadly lags sooooo bad.... despite me having a super good gaming PC. It bothers me, no matter what I try with all of these tips and tricks, mods etc. It doesn't help;.

I know this is old but, I also use S-club for my skins. I use the LemonLeaf skin as my default. I think S club also has Asian skins and makeup that cover the eye creases. I use those as well.

Hi! .package files go into your mods folder. .sims3pack files go into your downloads folder, which you then have to open up the Sims 3 Launcher and download them through there! 😊
My eyelash mods have not been working. They were working a few months ago and now they don't. The sliders wont move when I try to adjust them. Do you know how I can fix this? Great video btw! :)
A word of caution with some of these, with the default eye replacements, i created a Sim and she was super attractive using the old graphics setting. Once I uploaded the mod, it made my sim look like she was squinting and had plastic surgery. I tried to fix it but it was such a hassle i decided to just do away with the mod. Also, using the S-Club eyelash mod means your Sim cannot use eyeliner, using the nosemask means your sim cannot use blush, and buckley’s eyelash adjustments don’t work with default game eyelash. Speaking of which, alot of your sim’s graphical imperfection such as the eyelash (and the eyelid btw) is much more noticeable with a graphical mod than with the game’s original graphics.
PLEASE reply to this ! do sliders apply to children ? lets say you create a sims with custom sliders and they have a child with another person who uses custom sliders... do the child look like their parents (the sliders apply) or do you have to redo them when they grow up ? someone please reply !! thanks in advance

imho, the sims 3 looks plastic because, they tried to make them more realistic and the sims 4 just looks way more cartoony than realistic.

The lighting issue is only indoors btw! They look rather nice when they're outside.

I believe OneEuroMutt's sliders work coincidingly together, so no need to worry about them cancelling each other out!

None of my eyelashes are working and I'm not sure why, do you have a fix for this? It just shows bulky black block lashes when I click on them.
Your either 1) have an accessory on the ring/wrist or 2) are missing the eyelash mesh
