  • I’ve been asked by a subscriber to share how I attach things to the FeelFree Lure’s UniTrack. By far the easiest and most flexible way is with the Yak Attack FeelFree UniTrack Adapter (www.yakattack.us/yakattack-fe.... A package of six goes quick if you have a lot of stuff to attach. That being said, it’s much more economical than the UniTrack adapter by FeelFree and I think much more flexible. Do some shopping around for a better price on these adapters as they also come in singles as well as packages.
    Comment below if you have different ways of attaching stuff to your Lure’s UniTrack.

    I ordered those from Amazon and got something totally different and they don't hold worth a crap! I don't know if Amazon substituted them or what .. next time I will make sure I get the ones you have or nothing at all..

      That sucks. What have you been using to attach stuff to your Lure?

      Fishing Geek I used the ones they sent but I had to modify them.

      Got it. How did you modify?

      Fishing Geek they were the kind of elongated metal pieces ... so I had to grind the ends down so they would clip the mounting rail better. I then added a large washer under the rod mounts to help with the grip or tightening of the bolts ... otherwise the rod holder would fall into the water.

    Good video. But when I put the YakAttack Mount in my FeelFree track, its not level, its at an angle due to one side of the track has a lip on it and the other side doesn't.. :(

    • @AFishingGeek
      @AFishingGeek  3 года назад

      That's odd. My Lure's tracks have lips on both sides. Are you sure they are not bent in some way?

    • @chadbreedlove5457
      @chadbreedlove5457 3 года назад

      @@AFishingGeek Not bent at all. One side is smooth all the way to the top of the track, the other has a lip or track about halfway up the inside of the rail

      @@AFishingGeek Mine is also a brand new Lure 10 V2

      Chad, didn't realize the V2's had different channels but it sounds like that might be a problem. From my experience, if you call Feelfree you'll get great customer service and likely the replacement parts for free. You may need to send them some photos and be willing to remove/replace your older rails.

    Could you tell what measures the unitrack has? I would like to make them since they are not sent to the Canary Islands

    • @AFishingGeek
      @AFishingGeek  3 года назад

      Jose, I pulled a set of calipers out and here's what I'm measuring:
      The assembly is 20.3mm wide, 25.6mm long, and 4.15mm high. The part is shaped like and upside down "U" with lips at the top of the "U". The bottom of the "U" is 16.55mm wide and 2.1mm thick. The hole in the center appears to be 6.67mm in diameter.
      Let us know how it turns out and happy fishing in the Canary Islands!

      @@AFishingGeek Hi, friend.
      and I tried to pass your measurements to a diagram but it is not clear to me where each measurement goes, if you don't mind you could make me a paper diagram with the measurements, you take a photo and send it to me at joselrs42@gmail.com.
      Thank you
