A dollar store buy I've made extensive use of is getting one of those foam pool noodles, cutting it in half and duct-taping either half to the inner sides of my kayak where my knees touch. This allows for padding and extra leverage. The "legit" side pads at the store run for $20-50 bucks. I've had the same noodle taped into my cockpit for two seasons at $1 buck. 🤙
True story Aliex, I go to that same Dollar Tree EVERY Friday to get ice before I go kayak fishing… I never woulda thunk it 😳🤯… I’ll be there this week to grab some of those hacks! Great video.
Hey, I just recently bought myself a new kayak, and I am really liking it so far. I see that you have made a dollar tree kayak video but if possible, can you please make a 5 below kayak video. My new kayak comes with many features but I would like to add more. Especially with a higher budget at 5 below, and because all the "gadgets/accessories" are coming from you (a professional kayaker) please and thank you)
Use velcro to attach a sliver of pool noodle to dry lures out and or hold lures you plan on changing out often so you don't have to dig through your tackle box/bag, and they won't rust much or at all in your boes☝🏼😁
Aliex, i did add alot of those things..for my achor, pool noodle for my seat bar, zip ties, tape, batteries. All kinds of things ive added to my 1st aid, and emergency kayak kit, on the water. Great vid bro! 🌊 🎣 😎
4:08 i agree with the usefulness of everything *except* that lock. It is so easily defeated, i think they can even be hand-pryed open. Spend the ~$10 bucks on a more legit lock. 🤙
@@AliexFolgueira will do! 🤣 cause like ive told you before i swim like a rock… i actually did my only little review on the kayak last week if you wanna check it out… its super short but i think overall good
While you are there look for a spray bottle. You can put water and vinegar into the bottle to wash the fish smell off your hand after dealing with a cuda.
Aliex how do you use caribeaners to "steer"? I know that can be used as a diy anchor trolly but I'm "knot" sure how to steer unless you mean they position you like a trolly
@@AliexFolgueira except for buying anchoring rope at the dollar store, that’s pretty stupid. Irresponsible water craft safety is the reason taxes and permits increase in price.
@jasonantonation8787 your comment is very stupid, and also dangerous you don't want to be anchored so hard that you can't get out of a spot, plus it is the same rope that you buy a home depot just a different label and more of it at home depot for a higher price

@@TylersNorthFishing I caught my arm with a lure today. The first aud kit came in handy. Lol
Gracias Alex awesome
Gracias randy, también tienen great bread
Can you make Walmart kayaking video. Under like $100 or something like that
That bat thing is a really good idea. I gotta pick me up one of those.
Ok, but go ahead and get quality paracord for rope. 😊
I need some rope for rock climbing...😅
and then you leave the dollar store after spending over 50.00. lol great hacks ! ( don't bother with the little knife, it's junk)
Energy drinks? 🤣
All of a sudden youve spend 100 bux and you have a 50 lb box full of random stuff on your kayak. 🤷
you sometimes you need a lot of stuff lol
If you’re going to the dollar store to put your trust and pocket change into something like anchoring, you deserve everything coming to you
Jason, what the hell? Are you drunk?
@@AliexFolgueira lmao, are you?
@@jasonantonation8787 rarely drink or do anything stupid
