Range Rover owners, have you considered switching to a Toyota Land Cruiser, Prado, FJ Cruiser, a Mitsubishi, even a Merc G Wagon? Nah, perhaps not. If you really want/need a heavy duty off-roader, surely there are vehicles that are less likely to be stolen that are a lot cheaper to insure. But I repeat myself. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit
The very latest keyless technology is now available UWB (Ultra Wide Band) this makes wireless relay attacks impossible, I won’t bother giving the technical explanation but you can look it up. Unfortunately the thieves will probably just kick in your front door and threaten you to give up the keys but they are much more likely to be caught and given a longer prison sentence.
@@TheCarCrunch you also won’t have keyless entry if you don’t have a car. I feel like if you park your car on your driveway, you should 100% turn off the keyless entry but if you park on a street, there is no way of knowing what house the car belongs to.
Why does no one talk about the obvious one which is to park the car in your garage if you have one? I know not everyone has a garage but I see a lot of people park their cars in the driveway even when they have a garage. I know people who use their garages for storage and park their cars on the driveway.
Range rovers also don’t fit in a lot of peoples garages as they’re too big. The garages and houses were probably built back when cars were much smaller
Also, if you have a Range Rover, good chance you are wealthy enough to have exotic cars park in your garage. Range Rovers are most people daily drivers.
Both, but mostly from the drive/the street outside a house while it’s parked overnight. Put a big steering wheel lock on your car every time you park it and you should be fine. Others also said in the comments that you can turn keyless entry off
Great video thanks for the info, The prevalence of Range Rover thefts has raised concerns, and there are a few factors contributing to this trend. These luxury vehicles often come with sophisticated technology that can be attractive to skilled thieves looking to bypass security systems. Moreover, the demand for Range Rover parts on the black market adds to the allure. To safeguard your Range Rover, consider investing in advanced security systems, using visible deterrents like steering wheel locks, and parking in well-lit areas. Storing keys securely, utilizing a garage, and staying informed about the latest security measures are also crucial steps. While no method guarantees absolute protection, adopting a combination of these strategies can significantly reduce the risk of theft. Making the key switch off the signal when it’s put down and still is a method other manufactures use. It also prolongs the battery.

Why didn't you put the most sensible way of stopping it to be stolen turn off in the settings keyless entry it cannot be hacked then remotely

Wrong. They just drill into the boot. Has wiring in there that can be used to override.
