My cousin in Norway has a small summer house with a similar covered entrance. I love how there are benches on both sides of the door, similar to what you just installed. It's such a cozy spot to sit and have a cup of tea and visit with friends and family in the fresh air.

It is becoming such a beautiful place. The change in the entryway is just amazing. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with that area. Thank you for the great video!
Even if you didn't finish your to-do list, it looks so good already. It became typical your and your kids' house. Important things such as foundation, electricity, heating, and windows are done. Even though my main house isn't finished after ten years, the funds and the time isn't always there. Plus, it is a holiday home, not a task. Enjoy it, though I know you like to pick things up, Benita.
Lovely house and you are really making progress and have done so much. It looks cozy even if a lot of work to be done. Love it, can’t wait to see how you progress next season. Thank you for this tour, it was great.
Waouw!!!!....Always so impressed! You re doing such a great work, specially on the windows. Enjoy this last period before winter. Thank you for sharing! Natalie
Wow, great progress Benita! You've all made a huge difference already. It's becoming your own summer home with everything you do. The windows look wonderful. :)
I love the work you are doing on the house, and I love seeing you do it! What a wonderful place that summer house is. Being in it for the long run does mean you can slow down, enjoy the process, and make good decisions.
Thank you for sharing, great work! I love the way you take care of the space, and your creative solutions. I hope this house will be a cozy and comfortable summer place for you and yours 🧡
Great job so far on your summer house. Must be so gratifying. You look like a different person in your summer clothes; very fresh and full of vitality. You probably don't care but I think the difference is that you wear alot of black and neutral colors in the city. Really enjoyed the video. Ty.
The window repairs are so impressive -- it must be rewarding. I think not having running water would be a challenge for me. The place looks exquisite. Plenty to capture on future youtube videos! The music felt so relaxed and genteel yet the work looked challenging.
How nice of you to share all the updates, it’s so interesting to see your discoveries and how priorities and plans change over time. Do you consider the new wood on the lower part of the exterior a temporary or permanent fix? It’s a very cost effective way to take care of the exterior, regardless 😊 I’m quite fond of «this will do us and the house well for many years, until it’s time to tackle the bigger thing». It’s so calming and wholesome. I’m gathering inspiration and ideas from you for our renovating projects. We have a 1930s cabin in the woods, and a small 17-1800s small timber farmhouse as our main home. The cabin is in most urgent need of renovation, but as we live in the farmhouse with 1990s interior «upgrades» and room changes… let’s just say my fingers itch to start the «putting things right» process. Looking forward to following along next season!
Benita, it’s beautiful. I love how you take your time and update everything with so much care and thoughtfulness. The space feels lovely already and I can’t wait to see what you do next. I think removing the wallpapers will make such a big change and make the rooms feel much bigger and brighter. It would be nice to preserve some pieces and frame them maybe? 😘
Ooh I feel you on windows, having lived in an old Swiss house and having a cottage on the Breton coast… windows are an ongoing topic! Do you have separate winter windows? I have seen other Swedidh houses with them on the inside, since your windows open outwards. Ours open inwards, so our winter windows were installed/hooked on the outside of the casement. The inbetween space is often used for plants like geraniums.
I sort of like all the kooky old floral wallpapers. I am guessing they are a disaster in person, but in video they are quirky, cute and go with the cottage/farmhouse vibe of the place.
Quel travail incroyable 😍. La maison est magnifique. Vous montrez bien qu on peut faire beaucoup de chose soi même quand on s en donne les moyens, c'est motivant 😊. J aime aussi beaucoup le respect entre minimaliste et non minimaliste. Merci pour cette vidéo.
It’s amazing to see all the work you have all put into this house….its will be lovely and ongoing for years I guess but will be well worth it……lovely to be able to spend 5+6 months a year there ,I’m sure as you work from home you could work from there is the real summer weather…..congrats t9 all of you……❤❤ Donna in Toronto

Totally impressed by what you have accomplished! What an amazing job. Every time you showed something else you did I just kept hearing myself say WOW! out loud. It's going to be stunning when it's all finished.
Aww, thank you so much!
You are full of surprizes! Seeing you handle the glass with such confidence is amazing!
It’s a useful skill to have!
It‘s coming along just beautifully!
Thank you so much!
Love your summer house and all you have done! I do love the wallpapers of the previous owners but i understand wanting to make it more your own style. I love the red paint and had to look up why all the buildings were painted red. What a lovely way to keep the history alive! Can’t wait to see what’s next😊
I'm so happy you've enjoyed it!
You are truly inspirational - such wonderful craftsmanship! You all have accomplished so much this year! Congratulations on the progress- everything is looking so cared for and thoughtfully done. 💕
Thank you so much!
It is such a happy and charming home, and you have a beautiful family legacy.
It really is such a great house!
The Summerhouse is looking amazing, you have done quite a lot of work for the year, very impressed! I can't wait to see the progress as the years go on
This season is almost over but I’m already excited for next year!
It is becoming such a beautiful place. The change in the entryway is just amazing. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with that area. Thank you for the great video!
I’m so excited about the transformation in the entryway!
Restoring old windows is such a pain, but omgosh you are so meticulous and an absolute pro at making that home smile. I love this house! ❤🤍
There are so many steps but the end result is so satisfying!
Thank you for the updates, the tour, and sharing the beauty of personally restoring your Swedish house. Lovely!
Thanks so much for watching!
Love the look of your summerhouse ❤
We love it so much too!
We all do really enjoy it immensely!
Lovely house and you are really making progress and have done so much. It looks cozy even if a lot of work to be done. Love it, can’t wait to see how you progress next season. Thank you for this tour, it was great.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Waouw!!!!....Always so impressed!
You re doing such a great work, specially on the windows.
Enjoy this last period before winter.
Thank you for sharing!
Natalie
Yes, I'm looking forward to a few more trips before we close up!
Wow, great progress Benita! You've all made a huge difference already. It's becoming your own summer home with everything you do. The windows look wonderful. :)
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work Benita. Your country house is beginning to look so cozy.
Thank you so much!
Actually really curious about the colors and decorations, the line between your style and theirs. Sure I m gonna love it
We like similar things for sure but they’re more adventurous than I am. I think it’s going to look spectacular with their color choices!
Using what you have is so appealing, you are working hard, and the results are fabulous.
Thank you so much!
Quanto lavoro hai fatto ! Bravissima Benita , tanta fatica ma anche tanta soddisfazione nel vedere la storia che rinasce. 😘
Grazie mille! It’s very satisfying!
Amazing how much work you have done!! It looks beautiful!! I would be overwelmed by all the things that need to be done. I cannot do any DIY myself.
Thank you so much!
I love the work you are doing on the house, and I love seeing you do it! What a wonderful place that summer house is. Being in it for the long run does mean you can slow down, enjoy the process, and make good decisions.
Yes, exactly. There’s no rush, the house will wait!
Thank you for sharing, great work! I love the way you take care of the space, and your creative solutions. I hope this house will be a cozy and comfortable summer place for you and yours 🧡
Despite it being unfinished in major parts it’s already so cozy😊
@@BenitaLarsson renovations are a process, not a one-day project) best luck!
What a beautiful house, even in its current state. Natural light really makes a difference
The light in the house is pretty amazing!
Great job so far on your summer house. Must be so gratifying. You look like a different person in your summer clothes; very fresh and full of vitality. You probably don't care but I think the difference is that you wear alot of black and neutral colors in the city. Really enjoyed the video. Ty.
I do tend to uniform dress both at the house and in the city😅
The window repairs are so impressive -- it must be rewarding. I think not having running water would be a challenge for me. The place looks exquisite. Plenty to capture on future youtube videos! The music felt so relaxed and genteel yet the work looked challenging.
Thank you, it’s very satisfying work!
Ciao Benita, complimenti per il grande lavoro che state facendo. La casa è bellissima!❤
Grazie mille! Thank you so much!
What a labor of love! It’s so charming!
It really is that, a labor of love!
The new cladding at the bottom is staying permanently and the whole house will be painted in the falu red color.
We are saving samples of everything!
Yes, we do! Stay tuned for when I show them in a video later in October!
The windows are looking so good! It is fun to watch the progress on the whole house!
Thank you so much!😊
I sort of like all the kooky old floral wallpapers. I am guessing they are a disaster in person, but in video they are quirky, cute and go with the cottage/farmhouse vibe of the place.
They are cute as wallpapers but not really to our taste or the vibe we’re going for😅
Quel travail incroyable 😍. La maison est magnifique. Vous montrez bien qu on peut faire beaucoup de chose soi même quand on s en donne les moyens, c'est motivant 😊. J aime aussi beaucoup le respect entre minimaliste et non minimaliste.
Merci pour cette vidéo.
Merci! I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
A pottery studio, how exciting! The place looks amazing Benita, you have been working so hard!
It’s Victoria’s wish and I’m here for it!
Absolutely Joy to watch xxx
I’m so happy to hear that!
Beautiful property ~ enjoy!
I wish I could stay there for longer periods of time but I need my big iMac to edit so until I’ve figured that out I have to go back to the city.
