It’s not uncommon here for people to own a summer house. Often one that a whole extended family will share. They’re often quite spartan though. Outhouse, perhaps no running water etc.
I just realised you have the challenge of not having fly screens on your windows. All our windows here in Australia have ugly fly screens otherwise your house will get full of gross blow flys (blowies😂). Your windows look way more aesthetically pleasing without them!
Hi Benita, I love your videos! I don't know if I'm imagining it, but at 9:50 in this video it looks like the glass in that window has quite a large crack in the corner and leading upwards!
There is a crack but it’s actually quite small. I wouldn’t want to change the whole pane for that since the glass is really old and hard to replace with similar historic glass.
Hello Benita! your emergency bin in the storage aria has attracted my attention, i would like to have something like that too, just in case. But dont know where to start...Will you be able to share its contents in the next video? Thank you.
It’s so extremely satisfying to check things off a to-do list! I used to use the Notes app too but I’ve been using the Things 3 app for a few years now and it’s the absolute best to-do app I’ve ever come across - I love the simple, clean, and minimal aesthetic and you can move to-do’s around to different days, keep track of recurring to-do’s, organize to-do’s by area + projects (Ex: You can make an area for each room of the house and then have different projects that you want to get done in each room along with the to-do’s for that project), label to-do’s that you can do “Anytime” or get to “Someday”, and then you can reflect on everything in the “Logbook”. There’s more you can do but these are some of my favorite features 😇
@@BenitaLarsson Oh wow thanks so much for the reply Benita!! Yes I immediately thought of recommending it to you since I know you would love it plus it’s perfect for Apple users since it syncs instantly between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch - I only had to pay one fee per platform but then that’s it which is way better than subscription model to-do apps that require recurring monthly/yearly payments that I’ve tried so def check it out! ☺️
Before my retirement I also kept to do lists at the office. People often joked about it, but my head was clear of things I had to remember and no waking up at night because I suddenly thought of something I almost forgot. They bring a lot of peace of mind. Btw tried to change the background colours in my Notes app but couldn’t find how to. How did you get that lovely coloured background ?
At 0:45, I think it’s just light refraction making a pastel rainbow effect. You can see later in the video when she’s working on charger cords that she has the standard white background and yellow checks.
I use the microsoft todo app. Workrelated stufg goes in my planner. I'm a teacher and while I keep appointments in my google calendar, my lessonplans go into a paper planner specially created for teachers. That way I can keep my work at work.
I love that even your storage space is neat and tidy. I really need this "neat and tidy" and "less clutter" idea in my life as I struggle with my belongings. At the same time as a teacher I keep numerous thing that might come in use any day now.... any day, or not at all but for some reason I keep them. I love your clean spaces, basic calming colours. Since I cannot keep my space in order I enjoy watching yours, thank you.

Hello, my English is not very good, so I will use Google translator. Sorry for the possible errors. I have had to fill holes with putty and a trick that worked very well for me was to put the putty in a bag (pastry bag) like the ones used to decorate cakes. I hope it can be of use to someone.
I really enjoy your videos, thank you! Greetings from Spain!
Thank you so much for the tip!
Do people typically buy or rent the summer homes? I would like to have two homes! Still working on saving for the first one 😅
I didn’t realize! In some parts of Sweden they to use screens parts of the year because of mosquitoes though.
Benita you are simply amazing 👊
Hi Benita--As you demonstrated, list-making makes a lot of sense. How do you arrange your list ? By priority of the task? Or another way?
Mostly just randomly! When I think of something I put it at the bottom of the list. If I’m extra I might insert it where it has a “mate”😅
Thank you.
I’m not going to make a prepper video but I’m sure there are lots to watch on RUclips with great advice!
That sounds like a great app!
Yes, exactly!
I’d be lost without my list😅
Love all your attn to detail. Esp taking charge of the communal laundry room. 👍🏼
Just makes it a nicer place to spend time in😊
I like how you place the watermelon upside down. I always put a plastic cover on it. Your method is better!
Saves on plastic!
I use the microsoft todo app. Workrelated stufg goes in my planner. I'm a teacher and while I keep appointments in my google calendar, my lessonplans go into a paper planner specially created for teachers. That way I can keep my work at work.
Makes total sense to use that for your work!
So nice i feel I have a friend who lives in Stockholm !! Thanks Benita honestly I’ve never known anyone in my lifetime who thinks as I do 🤗💐
Oh wow!
Lol 😆.. you were disappointed when nothing came out of the 🚿 (so was I 😆)
Happy it was clean but still😅
May I ask where you get the wall art on 18:53 of the clip? The yellow background with flower.
It's this one wallofart.se/collections/the-flower-collection/products/3-1-3-blossom
so sweet Benita :) i love your videos
♥️
Thank you so much!
Well done girl 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Steam your sisal rug edges while it's lying flat--then they'll lie down.
It’s flattened itself out😅
Oh I agree about the peg rail, that would bother me with the dark at the top 😁
Right? It’s so much better now!😅
Oh me too....lists always! It's such a sense of achievement to check each item off.🥰 I'm 64 and thoughts are easily forgotten otherwise.
Since I cannot keep my space in order I enjoy watching yours, thank you.
you are very resourceful.
isn't better to put the wifi as high as possible to get better signal?
The wifi is fixed, not something I can move.
Great motivational! Thanks! My new house is waiting
How exciting with a new house!
I still use paper and pencil!
Ooooww tell us about your emergency prepping please Benita x
It’s just a basic box with supplies. I’m sure there are videos out there with great info!
It’s these sorts of details are what makes a place took more polished and minimalist. I hate cords and gaps.
Yes, it’s all in the details!
Why not paint the peg rail to match the wall? Then the wood grain would not be noticeable.
I like the wood grain.
