I have decaled some of my clone army and they costed me less than 4 dollars each. and i was able to have clone variants that lego has never made.
Buying the parts of expensive figures works well too. Instead of spending $200 on a p2 Rex, by the head, torso, waist cape, legs, cloth, and helmet. It is significantly cheaper and very underrated

@@viperson9818 Yep I didn't do that! I don't think I was negatively affected by it in the end but I'm about 3 years behind where I could be on that.
Asking friends if they have minifigs they don't want anymore is really helping ! During the year, friends gave me the 2016 Quinlan Vos and Luminara Unduli, 2013 Count Dooku, Poggle the Lesser, a geonosian, Savage Opress, clone wars Yoda, 2013 501st troopers, a geonosis clone trooper, Jar Jar Binks and some other random minifigs and pieces, and I only had to pay a bit for Dooku !
So go make friends, it's very stonks.
The credit card tips specifically is one of the easiest to implement and the most worthwhile long-term in my opinion. I switched credit cards about two years ago now and I’ve been able to get almost $4000 CAD in cash back on purchases I would’ve made anyway.. I’m using my rewards to pay for my BrickWorld hotel haha
I was too young to get the AT-OT and drop ship when it came out but I’ve always wanted one. Over the past two or so months, I’ve pieced one together and it was so worth it. It still costs a bit but 1/2-1/3 of the price for even a used set
Yeah picking out sets especially if you're using personal collection pieces and even getting the oices on sake or cheaper than usual is a great way make sets you've always wanted...or atlesst the main ship/build

I actually managed to get the 2022 AT-TE on clearance, perfect box, last one on the shelf, 80 dollar price tag, 60 bucks off from the original price. Insanely lucky

Thrift stores are great! I’ve come along bags of dozens of mini figs for like $5 each. Sure, they won’t all be clones or exactly what you want, but getting 3 or 4 in a bag with a bunch of other random figs for $5 is still a great deal

I always go through bricklink sellers in my region and then search clone, sometimes its cheaper to grab parts like torso's and bodies and such then buying the complete fig.
Always taking some with my already existing orders. Also a fun way to make custom figures like jedi's or figures to fill up your star wars city or moc
Recently over the past year I’ve been getting into decaling and made around 100 clone troopers. If you can get good at decaling it can be a very cost efficient way to basically get any clone you want.
I heard that making friends with an employee at the Mexico factory is also a good way. 😂

I did the same thing with the 442nd clone with green markings, unfortunately the legs are glued, and you have to disclose that when selling, and on top of this the figures have magnets in the torso and they stick together, don’t get me wrong it’s great for showing off in an army and Mocs but not idea for reselling because the value just isn’t there with the flaws
can the glued green magnet troopers still bend their legs & arms like a regular mini fig? or are they completely stuck in place?
Don't have much interest in building an army, although I'd defo go for a Seperatist force if I did, since I got tonnes of droids from the MTT I was lucky enough to buy fairly cheap, some B2 battledroids from online sales, and Dooku, Grevious, Pong Krell, Nute Gunray and a custom Wat Tambor I put together all from sets I've bought over the years!
If I ever get enough space, might try set it all out for a laugh actually!

Good video! Something I've done is have family members who work at stores that sale legos use there employee discount to buy packs. Some family get discounts up to 40% on all items, so legos :)

Parting out lego sets is something I’ve done before w the Christmas x wing and even getting incomplete sets and getting the rest of the parts saves a lot of money

I’m waiting for 41st battle pack so I can start an army. The addiction is real.
I think you should have mentioned that the Rakuten member who gets you to sign up to Rakuten ALSO gets a bonus too. I presume MandRproductions gets that bonus if one uses the MandR link. Better for a person to find out if a friend has Rakuten. That way they are you can share in the ADDITIONAL sign-up bonus that goes to the link provider. Even if you don't have a friend who is already a member, having them sign up and then send you the link saves you more money than following the MandR link. Or is MandR going to share any kickback you get with the person following your link? Am I missing something?
It's bizarre to me how often stuff goes on clearance and gets price drops in the US and other parts of the world. Here in New Zealand (at least where I live), it takes like 5-6 years for something to eventually go on clearance. Up until then, you're still expected to pay full price.
That being said, the only store that holds things like LEGO or Transformers (my main hobby) that I've really seen do actual clearances, is Farmers (which is a department store). After like 5-6 years, those old items get shifted to a clearance section, and the price usually drops a fair amount. Meanwhile, our main store that is made just for toys (Toyworld), will literally hold onto an item for almost 10 years, and still expect you to pay full price. Again, this may just be around my area, but I bought Transformers figures that were like 8 years old at the time I bought them, and still paid full price for them.
I've also witnessed The Warehouse (another department store), sneakily put old Transformers stock from 5 or more years prior that had been stored out the back due to not selling the first time around, put back on the shelves at full price. As a collector, I knew how old the items were, but the kids and parents wouldn't have, and would've unknowingly bought old stock for full price, which kinda feels a little scummy to me, but eh, I suppose the store is still making money off of the products, even if it is several years too late.
Speaking of The Warehouse, they sometimes have a clearance section, but again, stuff has to be fairly old to eventually wind up in there, or just defective, which is more common (by "defective", I mean, some kid has torn into the packaging and pulled all of the items out, leaving the staff to throw some tape onto the packaging, with a 50/50 chance of everything still being included).

I just started building a battlefield were it's stormtroopers vs battle droids but unfortunately I have no battle droids so I gotta wait to get some also I used some old lego I had laying around to build 3 turrets 1 catapult 2 barricades and 1 dropship it holds 4 stormtroopers also I have 19 stormtroopers on the battlefeild

Tip 5. I heard if you work for Lego and do any reselling and caught, you are fired. I heard this from a trusted employee and another time from a friend who wanted a job there but had a Bricklink store. They declined to hire him.

It is very worth asking! I bought 2 original 501st Battlepacks from my cousin for 20 bucks TOTAL. He said he bought them for 20 each but because they were opened he would give them to me for half price, absolute bafoon.
Question: I thought the reason lego dosent sell lego star wars minifigure polybags was because hasbro has the rights to lego star wars action figures?
Something interesting is, in the Americus, Georgia Walmart, the 2020 501st battlepack was always $23.99, it went on sale once for like 19 dollars. I'm not sure why it was cheaper here, but it was. It never went over that price.

I'm not really a fan of the prequel or sequel stormtroopers but I definitely want to build an army of the original trilogy stormtroopers. I love the basic white and black pilot stormtroopers. Thanks for the inspiration! 👍

Here’s a good tip, when you buy a couple or a lot of the new 501st battle pack, just sell the 501st officers.
