Excellent video. You showed everything we need to know. Only wish you would have had a light into the differential spider gears to show more of how the pin and things are. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Greatly appreciated.
Really nice video. I had no idea how to do it right without looking at video. Should put replace seal in title as well. Very well made, even love the little background music. Nice job.
Whoa. Wait. Hold on a sec! You went to NAPA.....and they actually had something you could purchase that you needed!? The three near me seem to take a special pride in saying "no, we don't have that....but we can order it".... Seriously, a small block Chevy Oil filter?! "Napa Know How" phooey! more like "Napa No Parts"...... Anyway. Very informative video. I need to do the same to my Jeep.
Hahaha "Napa No Parts"! I'm fortunate that the NAPA by my house is a friggin' warehouse and has a huge inventory. I recommend downloading their app, it's actually pretty good. Best of luck!
im doing the same thing my only issue is the wheel bearing seal cant find it at no autoparts brung in my old one and they cant find part number for it do you still know the part number for the seal please let me know thanks. great video as well good job.
May I ask how you knew they needed to be replaced? Did you have road noise or feel it under acceleration? Mine has road noise I replaced the front time to move to the rear and was just curious..
Great vídeo, tell me please how do the wheel bearings keep their lubrication, since it gets long time without service and regrease? Does the differential gear fluid reach that bearing to the Point of the axle,? Dear,
i have a 1996 jeep cherokee xj does the dana 35 rear end suppose to have thrust washers behind the spider gears or can i run it without them mine didnt have any when i pulled it out while replacing rear axle bearing and seals
im needing to replace my axle seal as well and wondering the same thing. i have a 96 xj and wonder whether i have to remove the washers or just remove the 4 bolts off the back of the hub to take the assembly off
Great video!!!! Questions your jack stands, are the rest curved around the axle. They look flat. Two are they sitting on a hard surface that will not give way under the load?
I have a right rear axle seal leak , How can i tell if i have a Dana or C8.25 , On ,my 93 Jeep grand cherokee laredo I have the rubber plug on rear diff to fill fluid
Mine also leaked before I got the aftermarket Diff cover. The C8.25 has a square bottom, if you look at pictures online you can see the difference between it and the Dana.

This shit looked so hard in other videos 😂you nailed it fool
Excellent how to! I am planning on doing this to my 2000 Cherokee. You made it look easy. Thanks
Instablaster.

Careful using the old bearing to press the new one in. Sometimes they won't come back out. Then you have to pull two at once.

Great video. I'm swapping a D35 for a junkyard C8.25 and this is really helpful.
Great to hear! If you have any questions please let me know.
My complements and to your choice of accompanying music . I like heavy meatal but not when trying to learn something .
The shiny won't come out of lose to get the whole shaft out

Good stuff bro. I'm about to do this right now. I hope mine goes as smoothly. 🤘
What made you think your wheel bearings where bad?
Great video very helpful and informative!

The grease in there should be good for at least 30k miles or every two years roughly.
@@johnnymatias3027 or 120k miles hahaa

Mine felt loose side to side🤔looks like there is no adjustment just clips. Maybe the clips get worn 🤷
Thanks for posting.
I can't get the shaft out lol
Hey...does the seal need to be flush with the tube? Mine is in about an 1/8th of an inch.
i always thought grease where oil goes was a major no no
I have oil in my drum, I guess I've got bad seal. Do u think I can change just the seal without changing the bearings?
I think you can, yeah. It might be very difficult to remove the old seal though.
Just pull them both out and pound back in the same ol bearing
I want to buy spacers for this kind of axle but don’t know what size.
They are 4.5 bolt pattern

This job is such a pain in the arse.
About one minute in.... "Ohhh, Faaaaa"... keeping it real.
Why so many questions people he said it himself "don't know what im doing" he had to look it up🤣😂🤣😂
Well no one can say you aren't thorough. haha.. Good vid
Haha thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
Not sure if it's the camera bro, but you're Jack stands may nerf to be replaced for safety sake
Buy a good impact setup for bolt removal and zipping, honestly,, you'll wonder how you ever got along without one. ;)
Music is distracting but I'm not here to judge
You should shave your armpits judging from the trouble you're having with those cover bolts. Great video guy!
Thats a lot of bullshit just to change a wheel bearing in my opinion but thats how they make them...
not a crystler 8.25 that is a danna 35 nice video though
No, that's an 8.25. You can tell by the lip around it.
you dumb
i'll tell you what... sucks wen them c clips come out while going down the highway!
