Let's check out three random patterns on Ravlery for scrappy projects to use up all those advent minis!
Hi
One of the future podcasts, we will be seeing the Bits and Bob's socks as one of your WIPs. Lol. They are cute. Have a great week. See you Wednesday ❤❤❤
It's so cute to watch you fall in love with a pattern right before our eyes.
Ravelry Roulette is one of the best ideas ever. "Scrappy" has been added to the ideas box!
I just knew you’d add a 4th! Ravelry Roulette is just that addictive. I think I live in a perpetual state of ravelry rabbit holes!
OMG it so is! I couldn't help it. I could've kept going. 🥴 ❤️
It was great to have four very different patterns come up in today’s roulette! Great spontaneous episode Tayler! I really enjoy Ravelry Roulette ❤
Thank you Deb! I had fun with this one. ❤️
Great Ravelry Roulette episode! All the colors were so cheerful and becoming to the eye. Thanks for sharing a lovely post!
Ha! That's the scrapy beanie I made that I talked about in the comments last episode. I love the socks and the blanket, too. I really enjoy these random journeys with you. Thanks.
Oh cool! I love that scrappy beanie!
Definitely just added the Bits and Bobs pattern to my favorites! Thanks for the fun episode.
I've never wanted to knit socks before today 😍
I never knew about Ravelry Roulette. This will be a fun way to find patterns!
Isn't it fun? I love making these videos. ❤️
Oh man, those socks were in my Rav favorites before the video was even over! 😄
same 😍
Raverly roulette… what a fun idea
Those socks 😍 what a lucky find! I've added them to my faves ❤
The sock pattern is in my cart!
Mosaic crochet does wonders for scraps. You can alternate the scraps with a neutral you may have in your stash as well as scale down the project size. That pattern would make an awesome pillow.
Many thanks.
My favorite scrappy hat is from Beata of Hedgehog fibers. Fingering held double, free pattern!
Love Ravelry roulette! So inspiring and I had to go get the Bits and Bobs pattern. Perfect for the leftover advent minis I have in my stash.
The scrappy two would be good for charity crocheting.
Love these rev roulette videos
I'm so glad you do. They're a lot of fun to make as well!
Love Ravelry Roulette! Such fun. Great sock pattern.
I really enjoy Ravelry Roulette too! It’s lots of fun! Thanks for the extra bonus Tayler!😊
Those socks were gold!
Love the Bits and Bobs socks and have put them in my Ravelry favourites. I won't by an Advent calendar but I have enough scraps for them anyway😊
Aren't those cute?? I am SERIOUSLY considering them. I've been mulling over color palettes since sharing this video. 😊
What a nice group of patterns. I love Ravelry Roulette!
I watched all the roulette videos but this is the best! Those socks and the beanie are really cute. I'll be getting the hat pattern.
I'm so glad you love these Heather!
I’m currently working on the Polygon blanket from Tim Can Knits. I think it would be a great project for advent minis. I just wanted to use up leftover sock yarn held double. It’s a perfect project to take wherever you go because each polygon only requires 11-12 grams of yarn of fingering weight doubled.
Haven't even finished watching the video and I've already added the Bits and Bobs socks to my favourites!!! ❤🧦
Yes! They're sooo cute!
I wonder what the creator thinks why lots of people (me included) now favorite or buy this pattern.
Love the socks. Perfect for Summer Sock Camp ❤
Yes! Totally.
Love that blanket but I would definitely plan it out and not use scraps. The socks are also super cute! Perfect for scraps. ❤❤❤
What a fun variety of patterns. I was thinking it might be possible to scale the afghan pattern down to the size of a placemat. I think that would be so fun. You could go with a set color theme, or just play with a multitude of colors.
Brilliant..need 2 placemats for my cousin😊😊🎉😂
Definitely need to knit up those socks and the beanie. I’ve got plenty of scraps to create them!
Right?! Same.
Wow! Some of those other Scrappy thumbnails looked interesting. I’m off to do my own search. Thx for the inspo Tayler. 😊
My pleasure! Have fun!
The socks are a cute project!!
Aren't they!? ❤️
As you said, a blanket with the colors creating the pattern excitement require careful selection. If you are not good at selecting colors the safe way to get the result you are going to like is to follow the original designer's color selection and add one or two. considering the contrast plan in the original.
Those socks 😍
Not sure if you are aware of the picture of the Sussex’s son Archie wearing a knitted bear hat. This was a Make Give Love hat too. Its a great New Zealand organisation.
Yay, I was hoping for this! Thank you! Ravelry roulette is always fun. That mosaic overlay blanket might be one for me to do for the Ravellenics, I haven't tried that technique yet. I can see alternating solid and handpaint colors for the stripes. I need to make a cat blanket anyway, I might actually finish that in time for the end of Ravellenics...
Thanks for throwing in a 4th! This game is so fun!
Hello Tayler.
I really enjoy every time you do your ravlery roulette. Good idea. Greetings from Germany
Hello! Thank you so much for watching. I love putting them together for you as well. Always a treat. ❤️
Thanks for the tips about needles in another video . I’m now a red cord girl.
Just subscribed! Loved your piece on advents. Looking forward to watching more!
Thank you so much Judy! Welcome!
The Bits and Bobs socks are awesome looking!!
Right!? I love them!
Love the Bits and Bobs socks❤
I like how you leveraged off my comment #3 on Yarn Advent Calendars: Yay or Nay. It is great that you exhibit how to search for patterns on Ravelry. My search skills on Ravelry have improved because of you. Thanks!
Oh I'm so glad this is helpful and useful. Thank you for commenting!
I love doing crochet overlay mosaics. Currently working on a queen size blanket.
Thank you 👍🏾❤❤, I ve been thinking 🤔 about a project ❤ blessings for the inspiration 😂😂😂😂❤
Love these podcast 😊
Very helpful video. Thx!
I'm not much on knitting socks, but those are cute!
I feel like I'm mostly in the same camp, but then something happens, seasons change, and I'm inspired by the socks. 😊
Love these videos
Love, love, love your channel and great ideas! May I ask where you found your glasses? They are lovely.
Got those socks in my cart just can’t get the hat pattern for some reason
Loving your hair.
Thank you! ❤️
I tend to search while watching the video, and apart from #1 and #2 on the first page being swapped, mine came up the same for the first 11, 12 being blocked by your in-circle narration bubble (as my page has 5 across rather than 6, possibly due to the size of my laptop screen)
also, I feel that "scrappy" is being used when it isn't technically correct - as in the bonus pattern, it's obvious that a LOT of yarn was required for each colour sequence, as there looks to be 3 rows (or maybe 4) to achieve that step pattern, and I wouldn't consider that "scraps"
Those socks were adorable! Is the price ($6.50 I believe) a normal range for socks?
Could you post a link to the Random Number Generator that you used, please?
Why were the search results only 17 pages? What was the most limiting factor? (I wasn't watching as you set up the search, I was listening.)
She used the search word "scrappy" which probably has to be an actual part of the title or description to pop up. 😊
This is a great question! I'm not entirely sure, but I suppose it had something to do with using the term 'scrappy' to narrow things down. Still surprising that it narrowed it down that much!
