I'm a newish viewer and love your no nonsense take on all things knitting. I've never done a test knit before, and I've never knit a cardigan (socks and hats and a pullover), but I would be totally game to test knit that cardigan as my first go! In a similar vein, I have to say as an adventurous beginner who leans heavily into tutorials, I always think it's worth it to record technique vidoes OR, even better, an entire tutorial on a particular pattern. There are a lot of basic patterns out there with minor variances, and I'm apt to go for the one that says a free tutorial is included, so I can see each section being worked at the start. Just my two cents. :D

My sock finishing wisdom is to block the first sock and keep it around like on my desk, so I see it all the time and want you to wear it and finish the second sock. It’s the only thing that works for me 😅 Also I’m not allowed to cast on a second pair of socks if I have an unfinished pair. For sleeves, I got nothing. My three single sleeved sweaters still haunt me.

This is so wise! Somehow I am okay with finishing sleeves but socks really get me lol
