Mega Gallade looks so much like a fricking yugioh character
He's totally Yugi. He has the coat/cape, and the Duel Disc.
This is awesome to watch. Haven’t played a Pokémon game in many years. Cool to see the different looks of some old classic characters
What about Ash-Greninja? It's technically not a mega but i wanted to know your idea on it.
my boomer ass is still trying to catch up to gen 4, for real I'm really behind.
Well hey, good news we got the Gen 4 Remakes coming later this year lol
Hi!
That's funny because I have all five Gen 4 games,
and since Gen 5 was on the 3DS I was left behind to play the re-play the Gen 4 games until Gen 7 came out.
Yeah me too, just started to play gen 6 like a week ago
@@darthsacul3940 gen 5 wasn't on the 3ds lol
Absolutely agree on alolan vulpix, I freaked the hell out when that was unveiled. Just how they did the impossible by making vulpix even cuter ^^
Agree with mega latios/latias too, the purple just made it the same pokémon by design.
10:16 my teachers grading all of my work
HELP I LAUGHED
Someone finally agrees with me that Gmax Kingler is badass
Hundreds of children have died in his factory
I didn't know Inteleon's tower was its tail and that just made it 100x better.
I love how Gigantamax Meowth is just the long cat meme personified
Gamefreak: Is this a me-me? Are we doing a me-me?
I actually don't remember the mega evolutions looking this dumb LOL
I do. And I've always wondered why people liked them. The game after they were introduced made a few better ones, but overall ehhh?
@@cortster12 I do believe this is why everybody hated Megas when they were added, but then when SwSh got rid of them suddenly they were beloved - people just had time to firget how awful most of them look and only remembered the good designs
There's a hand full of decent ones but overall they look stupid.
To finish this series off, one huge video ranking every shiny form
17:07 imagine running into that guy alone at night it would be scary AF
Which one? I see both Meowth and Machamp. Tbh i wouldn't mind though, because Meowth is funny and I simp Machamp
I love how hard they lean into Alolan Exeggutor. It just made me realize they could embrace Wailord's exaggerated size in a similar way, though
imagine a gigantamax Wailord... he'd be a freaking planet at that point.
@@taloscal if you Dynamax a Wailord it looks roughly as large as it's supposed to normally. And then they put the wild Wailord in Isle of Armor and I wish I hadn't caught it
What's actually funny is it makes sense for the dragon typing too. I learned this today through lockstin and gnoggin (highly recommend their channel), but basically its partially based on a mo-o (or something like that) and in the western world we adapted the word to mean dragon, but its really lizard (specifically gecko) with special powers, most often shapeshifting. And what did they turn into most? Humanish things and palm trees. Mo-o dragon tree
If you've played Colosseum or XD, you'll notice that Wailord basically takes up the entire fucking screen lmao. All the other models are TINY in comparison haha
Gigantamax Wailord that grows so large it devours the battlefield, becoming a terrain effect, with its uvula being the target wen?
I always really liked Mega Lopunny's fighter design. I'd love if it just simply became Lopunny's third evolution form
How to make a good pokemon design:
Step 1: MAKE IT LONG
Step 2: You're done
Gigantamax Diglett: it’s 2000 ft tall, but you can’t tell the difference because all of the hight is underground
@@JoshusBarber why did you make it shorter than usual
Imma say it..
Alolan Persian looks like Garfield
Lasaga
19:23 I think it was a missed opportunity to make him a giant furnace with valves and pikes and with giant smoke stacks since that's what coal is used for mostly.
Better yet, a train
All the Mega Evolution ratings hurt me. My boy Mega Houndoom and Aggron, best designed Mega’s by far
One thing that's hard to notice: Mega Metagross has four more claws in the back, thus continuing the pattern of it evolving and just smashing more of itself together.
"A lot of the megas are bad because they don't really change anything"
Machamp: has yellow hands
"A tier"
Hey! He also put on pants.
Eh they changed up the proportions to make it look more intimidating without being busy. Most Megas are just busy versions of the originals.
I love gigantamax Machamp over the normal version tbh. The proportions feel more appealing and he put on some pants.
it is pretty fucking dumb, don't give them a gigantamax form if you can't think of some element related to their increased size to make the design more interesting, otherwise it could just be a mega.
@@alienenthusiast pants are 100% a downgrade
"An entire forest grew on this lazy Bxh, A tier"
I'd love to see you rank Mega Man enemies and bosses. That would be so fun! So many awesome designs there.
This made me realise the amount of Megas and Gigantamaxes I didn’t know existed
"I want to eat it, S tier"
Can you imagine a crab claw that big? The meat in it would taste amaaaazing, I bet. Drawn butter too, of course. Might need an entire creamery for that order.
@@ShyVioletIsShy ew
@@galarstar052 idk man, that magikarp episode makes Pokémon’s really appealing
@@EmberDragonic i just think crab is gross in general, it's an arthropod like a spider, that shit's gross, it's like eating spiders.
@@galarstar052 I mean you do you but I love crab (even though it slightly burns my mouth for whatever reason)
"Stretch it out and give it spikes and that's gonna give you a C-tier" - Megas in a nutshell
That and "why does it have lumps here? Did it get cancer? Is it okay?"
Yeah and the pokemon community are DYING to have it back and spitting on gmax, like what the actually fuck
@@bluecrasher7710 mega evolution was overrated, and made the meta super stale. Dynamax is easily the best gimmick so far
@@AshenDust_ Idk just felt like a instant win button for me. It came to the point that they banned it from Ubers, while Most Megas were in OU or lower. However I do agree that the gimmicks are stale.
(I know Mega Raquaza exists and it was really busted. It was an outlier. Don’t crucify me for that.)
@@Phoenix_Star566 Mega Kangaskhan was also super broken, and in singles Dynamax might feel like a Z Move x3, but in doubles it really helps the meta imo. Having support Pokémon for your Dynamax Mon is a good strategy that wouldn’t have appeared as much without it, and it leads to all sorts of strategy in team building, like having 2 or 3 Dmax mons for extra flexibility, or only one, to have the others be more suited to a role outside of Dmax. It also makes otherwise bad Pokémon pretty good, like Durant or Palkia
Now let's do it all over again.. with the shiny forms. CONTENTTT
17:31 “This kinda fuckin *rules* actually”
I love that sentence
"Stretch it out, and give it spikes, and that's gonna give you a C Tier!~"
Pokemon: exists
ProZD: I wanna eat that you know
Now you have to rank every shiny, starting with gen 1 :D
Mega Gallade is the yugioh crossover we never knew we needed
These were a blast and a fun way to see the newer gen Pokemon, having not played the games. You ever thought about doing some Digimon rankings?
