This was the first minecraft/mindcrack video i ever watched miss these old days its alot different in 2015!
Beef, I don't know if someone has said this yet, but tripwire hooks make great taps. However, perhaps make it like a block on fence, with the tripwire hook on the block that holds the beer; in concept of course. If the fence join up with the back portion of the wall, if it's a plank (Atm it's a log, but if you relocate the beer tap), just place a stair facing away from you so the fence doesn't connect with the wall. Happy building as always, Beef :D
The shortness of your character in Minecraft is a genius subliminal effect that replicates a childlike perspective.
I upload them every other day at 5pm EST. If I miss a day then I announce it on twitter.
I like the red wool idea. Thanks! And yes, I should add a washroom.
Storage chests in the floor under the brew stands would allow you to store potions and ingredients doubling the bar as a potions lab. Also next to the tap you could have a cauldron as a dish sink (and water source).
Have to admit out of all the minecraft playthroughs i watch beefs is definetly the most interesting
You can hide lighting by placing glowstone below pistons. Light can pass through pistons. So that's a suggestion for your ceiling or floor. You can make a pattern using pistons and wood.
More ideas: rugs on the floor, slightly more "shaped" ceiling with an edging, wall lighting and/or ceiling lighting, maybe a sofa if you can find the space. Possibly try glass panes at the bar rather than blocks. If you have space, try to add a little kitchen through a door behind the bar.
2:15 Beef, it must be fun to watch you prepare a meal. If butter gets you this excited, I can't imagine what mayonnaise or sour cream does for you.
Beef I got a couple ideas for u. First make counter made of trap doors behind the bar to make it look like a shelf and put flower pots on its to make it look like the person working is busy. Also put a cauldron back there in between the shelf to make it look like a sink. I'm also going to suggest put a clock on the wall and getting rid of the water cooler. Another cool thing is hooking up the doors to a door bell under the floor. Finally, put a fountain drink hose behind the bar. Love wat u do!
Beef: Bars usually have the taps right behind the bar, so you could put the levers on the inside of the upside down stairs that make up the bar.
You should use grass blocks for the billiards table! That way the "felt" is only on top. Also, I agree with raising the floor behind the bar to make the bartenders slightly higher up.
Thank you Beef! I had to do an animation project for class, and your Steve vs. Steve gave me ideas for the music, so thank you!!!!!
you should get a picture of all the mindcrackers in the bar doing different things. like people at booths with table dancers, a few guys playing pool, you at the bar serving people, etc that would be great !
Very much agreed.
Quick thing: Behind the bar the floor is usually a bit higher, so you may want to put full blocks back there.
You should make the bases of the tables out of dark wood and not birch wood (so they blend with the floor), but keep the tops as birch wood. Also, you can make that square shape you wanted to by making all of the stairs face different directions, as in each stair is perpendicular to the two directly adjacent to it.
I think that in some building you should use the alternating furnace half slab pattern, and then invert it on the ceiling. I also think that a 2X2 pattern of stone and another 2X2 of snow blocks would create a really cool effect on the wall
Beef, bars usually have dim lighting, but I know that could be hard to do without having mobs spawn, another cool addition (in my opinion) could be sky-lights in the roof and item frames with potions in them showing the different "brews". The bar is awesome by the way :D
For pool cues you could put sticks in frames on the wall, and put a piece of lapis next to them for the chalk
Hey beef, an idea for your pool cues might be to put item frames with sticks in them on the wall next to the pool table. Also, I thought raising the floor behind the actual bar (the area with the drinks and stuff) up half a block. I think that would look a bit better, and in some movies I've seen, the bartender always has to lean on the bar to talk to the boozers, and it's hard to imagine that with the floor so low. Just a couple suggestion, I think the bar looks really good though.
He's given them permission to mess with his castle. When the b-team first went to the castle and generikb took down that pillar, you can hear bdubs say "I told him we wouldn't destroy anything" meaning they had talked to beef beforehand. They'll fix it later.
Beef: "I love this pick, it's like a hot knife through butter."
Me: "What's the shovel like? A blow torch through butter?"
Beef, make items frames with sticks on them on the wall near the pool table for the pool cues.
Also, make a dispenser that dispenses buckets of milk for the villagers to drink.
Sideways log with a tripwire hook, on top of an open fence gate = Pretty good beer keg.
You can also use item frames to have upside down bottles at the top of the bar and you could use sticks in item frames for cues or something.
Hey Beef, I love the bar so far. I just have a couple suggestions, you could put some of the flower pots/mugs under the brewing stands behind the bar to create a glass cabinet feeling. You could also put a redstone lamp under the jukebox to make it look better. I hope you read this and I can't wait for the next video.
Every time I see the stools, I like them more and more!
clay blocks and the slabs look really nice for flooring
to get rid of the lighting glitch you can place torches above the ceiling next to the slabs and it will correct itself
Episode 112 you made gate also you paid him a block diamond. I loves ya beefypoop.
You could grow "shrooms" in pots under the brewing stand.LOL but really you could. You could also grow "ferns" too.
Looking great Beef! Thank God that you replaced the first floor! Try to make like display cases in the walls with heads/cups and such! Or make one wall a different colour (red) to give the place some life!
Hey beef! Small change for you! Bake the floor behind the bar 1 half slab higher. The floors behind the bars are usually a bit higher:)
Use the red stone lamps in the ceiling, put pressure plates and spawn chickens. This will randomly turn on the lights in a different order every time. Courtesy of ethos redstone configured mind
OMG! I seriously love the bar you made Beef! It looks AMAZING!! :D
You should put potions in item frames behind the bar so that it looks like drinks. You could even put "currency" below to say how much each costs. (Gold nugget, Iron Ingot, Diamond etc.) Could be interesting. Great vid, Beef. :D
I like the way you play a different clip to take the place of the mining, it's very neat filler and it really compliments the flow of the episode.
Also, try raising the floor up behind the bar by half a block. It might look/feel more resolved.
Beef as you layer the bar 1 up, the barkeeper is a little above the customers. just remove the slaps and place normal blocks. Thumps so he can see!
Behind the bar, you should raise the floor with slabs, and it would probably look a little bit better if you added a slab-cap on the horizontal glass.
No, but you could use weakness potions. That's what paulsoaresjr did when he had the b-team come over to his house to burn down a jungle. Afterwards, he had them drink some "Lonely Mountain Grog", AKA renamed weakness potions.
use redstone lamps between booths for a glass partition. gives you a bit of light as well :)
Beefy, you should make a restroom for the people that drank too much and need to throw up. You should use a cauldron with water as the toilets. And your an amazing builder!
I have two suggestions
1. Elevate the bartender side of the bar(Full blocks instead of half slabs)
2. Use trapdoors instead of signs on the side of the pool table
things you may not know about minecraft. if you crouch you can place blocks on top of things like chests, furnace, and other things that you would normally open when you click on them. try it out.
(note doesn't work on everything)
The "you suck at Forza" comments meant to say "you have terrible technique", while the "turn up the difficulty" ones are pretty straightforward. The takeaway is that one group feels that your poor technique will hamper you if you attempt a higher difficulty level, while another group feels that a higher difficulty level will force you to learn better technique.
That said, I think you should turn up the difficulty level, in order to experience the proper repercussions from poor technique.
I'd put the "felt" of the pool table inside the original 3x4 frame, since they're usually at waist height.
Beef put a 2 block gap between the 2 tables and have the door there great episode as usual!
In the bartender area under the liquor bottles get rid of the slabs then put bookshelves then glass then put the slabs on top of the glass to look like support.
Beef! You should put a lamp hanging down form the ceiling over the pool table! Most pool tables have them!
I think you should add Slabs behind the counter, so a Bartender would look higher above the counter than just seeing a little bit of their head. Also, That shovel is so Cray Cray! :)
For the booth chairs, use stairs instead of slabs for the seats. I think it may look better. You don't have to try it, just a suggestion! Thanks.
You could make the booth tables 1x2 and use fence posts for the supports to save space.
Minecraft is a creative game in itself, but this pushes the boundaries. Looking great ^^.
For the pool sticks u could use a nether brick fence on the bottom and a regular on top
Yes! Doing my favorite thing. Drinking some chocolate milk while watching my favorite youtuber.
ok beef read this :), the pool table should be half a block down. make it like your glass house when you get to the steps to go to the office so the pool table isint too high. The bartender should also be taller, so on his side of the bar add another half block! then around you're pool table put trap doors instead of signs :D have fun reading this
Btw your too good in froza
Great job with the bar, Beef! But a suggestion: Tripwire hooks for the bar tap instead of levers. Just a thought! Awesome bar!
You could move the taps to being directly behind the bar instead on in the back as you currently have. Could give a more authentic look, if that's what you're going for.
call the bar "The Ender Tavern" because everything is suited for the height of an enderman
I have never been in a bar but i think that looks amazing from what bars look like on movies or television just wanted to let you know your an amazing builder and you should keep building and never let the skill of that leave you older than me but still my padawan Beef of The Land Minecraftia
The bar tap looks like a vanilla soft serve ice cream machine :)
Hey Beef, a little suggestion for some of the builds in the village, you could put work benches under or 1 block after a door to create a door-mat
Put the jukebox by the wall to the right from the entrance, between the bar and the benches. Just so it's not hidden behind the pool table.
The B team has seriously crosse the line this time. Killing chickens, if I'm not wrong, is also a form of grief.
Beef, you should totally add a karaoke stand in the bar in tribute of your sleeping dogs play through :D
You can make the squares with the corner stairs. You just have to place the first one differently.
Thank you. You have my respect as well.
Hey beef! you need a flashing dance floor in your bar. i'm thinking redstone lamps rig to a clock with a party switch to turn it off so it doesn't lag you. I woud place it behing the pool table if you can extend the bar :/ if not maybe replace the pool table. You're on a tropical island it need a dance floor more than a pool table ;) . Ho and the taps should be on the inner side of the bar or under the brewing station, this way you wont hide the bookshelfs.
ps: love your stuff keep it up
For beer dispensers, put coconuts for the dispensers. And forte sink use a cauldron and coconuts.
Haha. Love the villager at 3.15 comes in... thinks WTF is he doing.... left haha
you should add half slabs behind the bar to make the villager a little taller to see over the serving area
Oh yeah. Lol. Forgot to mention that I changed it.
You should use glass panes on the booth dividers and use a cobblestone wall on item frame rotated as a tap
you should put the levers (taps) on the inside of the bar table and put some furnaces underneath the brewing stands.Great job btw! :D
A person who doesn't drink making a bar.. Ironically considerate.
You should use trapdoors for the sides of your pool table instead of signs and you should have the taps coming out of the actual inside of the bar itself because that is how it is in a real bar I am pretty sure.
You need to add some more character to the walls, painting, item frames, logs, more angles and shapes etc... also, I think you should put trapdoors around the pool table and put the taps either on top of or just under the bar. Finally, the bar needs a new chests and a cash register. Oh, and you need a fancy entrance.
Make an 'H' out of leather in the crafting bench to craft. then have another thing in the Inventory menu for you to put it on. To balance it out, if you die, you loose the items in it. So you have a risk to use it.
7 minutes of the video left, 4 minutes till the bus comes... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!!!
I think the ceiling is pretty bare. Maybe put some jungle logs support beams? I think it's almost necessary, because at this point the bar doesn't even fee like it's in the jungle anymore.
Put glass panes on the top of the booths where you put the half slabs then took them down.
No water cooler, it just doesn't fit.
You should put an item frame with a bow in it, in the counter for the bar tender as they usually have a weapon on their side
Beefykins, you could put a chest with records behind the bar, and if someone wants to play some music, he has to ask the bartender :D
you should put those villagers with the white suits in the health care tent as doctors :)
You can make a square out of stairs if you place the last one while facing away from the wall.
There should be books behind the glass on the two sides as well, imo.
Raise the bar up with on half slap sheet on the bartender side since they are usually on elevated ground compared to the rest of the bar
Man, it's been so long since I last found the time to watch a video of yours and now that I did I gotta say, I missed ya :D
For the tap, put a lever flicked down, and a cauldron with water under it.
beef you should do the design that arkas did for the night club under the fountine in the arena for the ceiling. where you use glowstone lamps and pressure plates on them and you have chickens run around on them so when they hit the pressure plate they light up.
beef i just finished watching ALL of season one and two. now one thing that was on my mind after you built the school and the map on your wall is that you should put maps on the globe in the school to give it that earth (minecraftia) look!!!!
Hey beef, you should put a dispenser of the ceiling above the pool table that drops snowballs, magma cream and enderpearls to look like pool balls.
Put levers above all of the brewing stands, so they're like kegs or something!
For the bar, you should put potions in photo frames to make it look like mixed drinks ;)
You should still have a line of snow, second one, in between the planks.
Ah, not a bad idea.Thanks!
The Bar should be where you brew ( potions ) and storage all your drinks ( potions ) :D
I have that feeling that a new season of uhc is beeing played :)
beef increase the floor level in the bar stand by one because bars usually have that
