I have done 3 rounds of whole30 and even got to post a week of recipes on their Whole30 Instagram page! I think that was back in like 2016. It’s definitely not easy but it helped me learn a lot about my body and what types of foods make me feel my best/worst!
That’s so cool !! It’s not easy but it’s also not hard ya know ? I’m still enjoying everything and feeling so good. I think the most challenging part is when you go out to events , dinners , parties and there aren’t options.
I am so glad to hear that you are doing this, Amanda! “Low fat” and “sugar-free” have wrecked havoc on my digestive tract and hormones in the past. I have been doing paleo for about 4 years now and interestingly since nourishing my body in this way, I never feel deprived, and the weight “magically” fell off as well. But I didn’t even have to try. I did it for other reasons first, and weight was just the bonus. Good luck on your journey! 💜
I know that low-fat and sugar-free isn’t great for me and especially my hormones. I think I got stuck in the idea that it was going to magically cure my issues with my weight just because it’s called low-fat and sugar-free and worked for other people I’ve seen share their content with WW! I think with aging I just realize how important it is to take care of my hormones especially when trying to get pregnant, so I’m also so happy to be doing this and think it’s going to turn out really well for us 💚✨☀️🍒 thank you for the support!
I did whole 30 before I went fully plant based and I LOVED IT! That’s what prompted me to go plant based. I wouldn’t necessarily call what you’re doing whole 30. I would literally call it keto but in a whole food type of way.
If you are wanting to do low carb, whole milk is best. Lowfat dairy has more sugars and more carbs. Dairy is also not great for hormones. Dairy is the byproduct of animal hormones, just like it is for all mammals including humans. Cultured dairy is better than like just milk (so cheese, yogurt, sour cream, etc.). Just FYI, you might want to look into dairy and hormones from sources that really break it down. Conventional dairy is the worst since they tend to give cows hormones so they produce more.
I’m so happy for you and wish you great success with this. ♥️ It makes me a little sad because I always watched your channel for how relatable you were and loved that you didn’t cut food groups out. I understand that this is where you are in your journey, and wish you two the best of luck!
I’m truly only cutting it out bc I know it’s not good for me and my hormones along with my husband. I totally understand what you mean tho and I’m sorry if it’s a trigger for you but for me it’s what’s best and it’s a 30 day challenge.
I’m glad you’re pushing yourself to eat healthier while thinking about your hormones (I’m in the same boat). What you think about doing one day a week strict whole 30?
Loved doing whole30! I found this delicious turkey and veggie soup that everyone loooovees. And one of my favorite dishes is a sweet potato, kale, and chicken. With a chipotle Mayo. I still make those regularly.
Why is this comment section feeling so toxic? Never thought eating Whole Foods and cleaner ingredients for 30 days would be so triggering. You’re not making us do it too, just sharing.
Stevia isn’t whole30 approved because it’s processed and the are combined with other sweeteners and fillers, such as maltodextrin, erythritol, and sugar alcohols :/ plus it makes my tounge burn
I left a link below too of a list of foods. It’s basically all Whole Foods and eliminating the fat free, low fat, sugar free items because they all have chemicals. It’s almost like a detox but with food and you can still eat really yummy stuff!
I have thyroid issues in half for years so I try not to eat soy products. I had wanted to give up animal products but the fake meats and dairy just didn’t do it for me. I have lots of G.I. issues and I need to eat small amounts of protein.

I agree with you 100%! ❤️ Blessings, sister! 🤗
Girl, your timing is amazing. I was just thinking of doing this 30 day challenge myself.
Totally do it 💛

@@HannahBirzes same girl! I will be plant based 4 years in July and I will never go back! 🤍

The book, The Obesity Code really explains the dairy thing.
I’m not doing any low fat products at all during whole30.
@@AmandaLewis Ah, okay. I just saw the lowfat dairy in your haul and thought that was for the Whole30/low carb.

I think it’s a start for sure! We are aiming for the full 30 days and hopefully after we continue a cleaner whole foods diet. That’s the plan :)
stevia lemons and water to make lemonade is a refreshing drink

Are you still going to be counting points on WW while doing Whole30?
Yes doing both for now
stevia is natural for your coffee

I thought the last time you were on whole 30 you said avocados weren’t allowed maybe I am mistaken!
No didn’t say that and yes avocados are Whole30
@@AmandaLewis Yes, I did read the food list that I googled and it did say no dairy, better learn how to drink that coffee black🤣🤣🥰
@@mdketzer In this video I talked all about why I drink dairy and not nut milks and that this is whole30 inspired
@@AmandaLewis I was teasing you sweetie!😊
What exactly is whole 30? I mean, I guess I could google it

Are you not on Weight Watchers anymore? Just curious.😊
Still on WW just also doing Whole30 and tracking macros too!
@@AmandaLewis that’s great!!
