What Dylan was saying at 14:56 explains the power of the placebo effect. If you "play tricks" on yourself, you can achieve much more than just being methodical. Even simply liking an exercise a lot, even if it's not "optimal," can help you get ahead.

I've been ill all week but I'm sure I get some kinda training stimulus from watching lift companion. Can we get a study to show that just watching lift companion increases gains? We'd need a group of lifters and non lifters split into groups of watchers and non watchers with a control group of people who neither lift seriously nor watch the show (and yes such people do exist as crazy as that sounds)
Yeah cutting caffeine 7 hours before bed, not eating after dark or at least 3 hours before bed, and not consuming any liquids 1 hour before bed will greatly improve your sleep
