I have been buying the 12v Milwaukee tools and they work great! In the 80s the corded Milwaukee were the best tools to buy now they are back on top again! Thanks for reintroducing me to the Milwaukee line. They make the jobs a lot easier to accomplish. Your vids are excellent as well.

I work for Tennessee Conveyor Maintenance & Service. We mostly use Milwaukee tools. They are some of the absolute best. The torque on the impacts is ridiculously powerful! We have the same one he used in this video and i guarantee that little sucker could break and nut or bolt in this world loose with ease! Plus you just cant beat the price of Milwaukee tools!

Excellent video. I found this job quite challenging and I am pretty good with mechanical work. The plenum would not come off for me. Ended up having to completely remove the dipstick tube to get it off. Also I was working on this in my driveway with it being jacked up and the front passenger side wheel was removed. I ended up getting it done but was a fight for me. Hot out too! I have a 2010 Dodge Charger SXT. Mine has the transmission that is non serviceable. It is sealed so when dipstick is remove no fluid comes out. Thanks for the video it helped. Spot on!

@@intrepidman2, brother help me out. I have to do this job for a 2010, 3.5 on Wednesday. I've pulled the plenum off on a 2018, 3.6 to do plugs so I have some kind of experience despite being different motors. Book time says 2.5hrs I have all the proper tools to get this done. I should be able to do it in the alloted 2.5hrs? What do I charge for labor here?

I just got a 2005 charger and the EGR VALVE. Needs to be replaced and looks easy to replace... just gotta have patience..
And follow the teacher.👍👍. My friend said it's gonna cost $600. To replace and will need special tools to do it...... I've got everything needed to do it myself.... thanks again

Great video. One suggestion to everyone. Replace the PCV valve at the same time. It is above the EGR valve. May as well do it while you have the intake manifold off the engine

I have a 2010 DODGE CALIBER SXT and I’ve been trying to find a video on how to change the EGR Valve but this car’s engine you have here is a lot different. The reason I’m looking for it it’s because I want to clean my EGR Valve to see if car will stop jerking at times

@@HowtoAutomotive hey men nice video i just replace the spark plugs also the EGR gasket but something went wrong cause the idle is very rough also on dash board the lightning bolt come on ..am sure its because the EGR gasket mayne doesnt sealed good

Instead of leaving that long extension on the egr valve to set the location…just mark the pipe before you take it apart

I just removed the wipers, motor that cross bar, with a few lights extensions and a little wiggling I replaced my EGR without removing the intake and other components

Absolutely I have one with 250 on it. No time belt yet but getting it shortly ..still runs like a horse..2.7 is the bad one

Can I replace the blue seal on the egr tube without removing the plenum? Or do I have to losen it to unhook the egr tube?
That's what I have been trying to find out.
you don't have to take the intake manifold all the way off but you do have to unbolt it... and since you're unbolting it you might as well take it all the way off and change your plugs and pcv valve too.
What are the symptoms of a bad EGR . ? My 3.5 has bad idle still after replacing plugs
Usually there is no symptom unless it sticks on. Most common is it doesn’t work setting the check engine light. If you have an idle problem, I would suspect a vacuum leak or the idle control valve itself.
If my egr valve went bad could that be why my car won't turn on just cranks up?also what are each tool I need to do all this at home? Please help
It’s a very remote possibility is that is the causing your car not to start. Only way it could is if it was stuck in the wide open position. And That’s a very rare condition. As far as Tools go I would have to have the car right in front of me to know.
The uhhh pipe in the back for the egr valve i think its called,.. i didnt see you plug that one back in how should i get it to fit in all the way its kinda making a leaking hissing sound any pointers

One problem here. The Chrysler 3.5L used in the Sebrings is different. I have tried numerous times to remove the plenum and upper intake manifold. But there is one bolt in the back that I can't reach. And I still cannot find a single video here on RUclips that addresses that problem. I was hoping to find it here. Nope. :(
why did you change the valve?
The EGR valve to head gasket can go on either side?
There is a side that i believe is to get in easier but wont come out so easy

Just wondering wat symptoms or issues u having to replace this part... I'm currently experiencing stalling and rough iddle on my 3.5 300c n I'm chasing the issue atm . Could this be?
create hesitation issues when you accelerate as well as a rough idle and possible stalling
I found 1 tank tune up works really well , about 25$ for a bottle but it cleans the engine really good , make sure to put it in when your car is almost outta gas , I noticed my gas mileage went up too
Just a thought why one would not consider to replace those 3 back spark plugs while you have pulled half the motor apart to replace the EGR valve. Just seems a perfect time to replace those 3 nasty and buried plugs under Manifold unless you want to do this whole exercise twice..

So what if the gasket that goes between the valve and the engine doesn’t get installed?
It will idle really rough and eventually lose power and the car will shut off
is this easier from underneath? I've got the car on stands & my cats off for replacement, pretty sure I've been starring at the EGR.

There's an easier way to replace the egr without removing the manifold

@@andresrocha7393 you have to remove the plastic trim right below the hood and up against the frame. Remove the wipers 1st, remove the trim and you can reach the egr from there

I had the p0406 problem on my car Dodge charger 2008 v6 with is sensor A so I changed the sensor A then the engine light gone, then after 2 weeks it’s came back again. Notice that the car at speed 60km and 80km kind of losing power! I dont know what the exact word to describe it.
When u replaced sensor u gained the hp back but it happend again? Any oil light trigger?

Sorry you’re struggling. GearWrench Tools makes Sockets called the Bolt Biters that can help remove stripped bolts.
FYI, it won't always seal.
Threw my car into limp mode now have to go back and find out how to get it to seal idk what to do any tips would be greatly appreciated
When do you know an EGR valve has gone bad.
If it’s stuck open it will run bad at idle.if it’s not coming on or the port’s are pulled you will get a check engine light. Also you will have high NOx on a emissions test.
Oh yah, electricars are great! No egr valves. But you can park all ice cars in your garage!😂

Just had my EGR installed now I'm having trouble my trouble is I got a red lightning bolt light on and my traction light won't let me have no power to take off or nothing what could be the issue I got a dodge charger 2007 3.5
XGEN Swiift_YT The throttlebody usually sets that little light. it may have lost its programming or have a problem with it.
Michael Helman that happen to me recently just make sure the egr ring is on correctly or not torn that will fix it
Don't buy the Dorman EGR valves,junk.Have seen so many problems with them.Those red locking tabs,I remove and toss.They are nothing but a pain in the butt and not needed

Would the egr cause oil temp to get high whem up to temp ?or oil light on when idle
The dryer would have nothing to do with the oil temp. It actually cools the combustion chamber and reduce heat.
