      It was a lot of stuff! A lot of it was stuff you need for a boat…. parts and tools. We got most of it on!

    Hi guys! Hope your getting settled on the new boat! Soon it will be all cozy inside and how you want it to be 😊. What plans do you have this summer?

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад

      Hi! She is getting all prettied up! We love our windows! We can see out better and they open! We are really missing the PNW so we are hopefully headed up to Maine and eastern Canada this spring/summer. Hopefully they have poutine and halibut on the east coast! We have one halibut rod on board.

    @havaseas what year is your new to you N50? Looking forward to seeing more of your videos! We are in Canada on Vancouver Island and have a 31 foot Camano...our dream boat is a Nordhavn 😍..and we have a Havanese, Izzy.

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад

      Oh my gosh! You have a Havanese! Picture? Cutest dogs ever. Our N50 is a 2003. The Nordhavn is a great boat! We absolutely loved cruising the PNW. We plan to head up north this spring to see eastern Canada. So far the eastern U.S. is very different.

      Cruising the eastern (and western) coasts is amazing! Truly looking forward to following your adventures.

    Great to have you back, and my, how Eric has changed. The Florida weather must have done him good. It seems like we’ve seen more of his personality and heard more from him in these last two episodes than the whole of the previous seasons in the bigger boat. Coming from the north of Australia I get how the cold can make you miserable😉 we complain about the heat but everything runs better when it’s warm.

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад

      Maybe you hit on it! He isn’t much for the cold. We will see how he does while we are cruising. He is usually more fun when he goes off duty and gets his sundowner.

  • @MDJSTVFL
    @MDJSTVFL Месяц назад +4

    Your back!!!!! Do you plan to head back to the north west or staying on the east coast?? So looking forward to your adventure. PS, we are from Florida how did you like our heat???? Tell Eric we need a detail engine tour…..

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад +2

      We are! We have been pretty exhausted so we need to take a little break from posting. I am sorry to say that we aren’t much fans of Florida…. it is way too dang hot and humid! I am trying to catch up on the footage we have from buying the boat and our first trip. There are lots of people doing videos of the ICW so it seemed repetitive to post a bunch of videos on the ICW. There is probably footage of more boat work in Florida and then the Bahamas. We plan to go to Maine and Canada this summer. I am not finding much video on that Northern area so we will probably tape. If I am really industrious, I will video me learning how to run the boat.

    Welcome back. Taking possession of your boat in 2023 or 2024?! If your on the Atlantic side and heading back k to Alaska, you'll obviously go via the Panama canal, that's going to be a interesting journey indeed. Enjoy you travels, safe journey always. 🙂👍🇨🇦

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks! We took possession of her May 2023. It has been a lot of work so I wasn’t up to telling the story till now. We want to explore a bit over on the east coast but we are already discussing how to get back home.

    fantastic yes buying a second hand but you will stamp your personality and make it a home, do you notice the difference between the 50 verse the 55

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад +3

      Our N55 had three previous owners…. The first two were experienced Captains who really knew who to look after a boat. The floor plan of this N50 is very similar to our N55. I still have a nice galley with lots of pantry space. The N50 is flatter and faster. Everything is just a little bit smaller. The viewing out the windows of the N50 are so much better!!! That was one of my biggest complaints on the N55.

  • @jgriff3218
    @jgriff3218 Месяц назад +1

    Other yacht videos I have watched the previous owners leave stuff behind. I just don't understand. When your all done making the yacht your new home it will be beautiful.

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад +3

      It is a strange thing…. when we sold or N55 the other broker commented that we removed all the dishes, sheets, etc…. I was like why would someone want all our personal stuff. It was all stuff from our house. In this case…. I think the previous owners bought stuff for the boat. We are under the impression that they decided to sell and just didn’t come back to the boat.

      @havaseas I would really enjoy the set up and getting things ready. I like logistics. Making lists storing stuff. I'm old school and use a note book not a spread sheet. I look forward to seeing your videos. Good luck

    What’s the difference between the 2 boats? Is the size and layout different

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Месяц назад

      The layout is very similar. The N50 is just tighter. The view out the N50 is so much better! The N50 is everything we need and not all the excess space. Distin is able to go up and down all the stairs. the draft is a foot less which has been handy in the ICW.

      Congratulations. Always liked the N50 and the N57, however you're 55 is one of my very favorite Nordy's. I couldn't sold it until I was too old to boat. Hopefully we'll see you back in the PNW soon. Happy Holidays and travel safe.
