I just bought a 2023 CT5V Blackwing on the 15th it has the 10 speed auto. I traded in my 2020 bmw m550 for it. All I can say so far is WOW. I plan on taking the Cadillac V performance Academy at the spring valley raceway in Pahrump, Nevada to really learn how to drive it.
I do! I traded in my 2016 Z06 Vette for one. I loved the vette, but was rough as a daily when you have hip problems. Was my 2nd/weekend car when I got it lol. I'll miss it, but the Blackwing is the best of both worlds!
I have 2 Cadillacs. My Dad's 1967 deVille convertible (200k miles+) and a 2022 CT5V-Blackwing in automatic. My retirement gift to me after 28 years of law enforcement . I put the BW away for the winter and can't wait for spring !
I took delivery of my 2023 CT5V Manual Blackwing August 12, 2023. It took 25.5 months to finally get my beast! Everything you all are hearing is right on the money. This car is a Unicorn to say the least.
@BrinkofSpeed hi brink of speed. Cadillac does offer carbon fiber 1 and 2 packages. Which does give a more aggressive front spliter, side still extentions, more defined spoiler and rear diffuser all in carbon. The only problem these items are very very constrained. I know the dealership I been working with only received one allocation for both packages for the entire 2022 year.
@BrinkofSpeed I totally agree with you. Especially at 100k plus stand point. Great review on the ct5-v bw. One of the few v8 cars still standing after this year so the demand is going to remain high. Enjoy while it still last.
@@BrinkofSpeed hello brink of speed. I am also looking for a 2024 camaro zl1 1le allocation if you hear of any chevrolet dealership that gets one and is looking for some business. I would be interested.
Greetings from Temple, Texas! We own a CT5 V Blackwing (manual transmission) and it is the best car we have ever owned! Absolutely amazing! We would like to meet up with yours someday
You're very lucky, all I have is a 2004 GTO with a lot of extras and some work done to the engine but I'm very sick and I had to retire from work about 12 years ago, so I just don't have the cash flow for something like that I wish I could, good luck with it and God bless...
I just mailed back my paperwork and payment for a 2023 ct5 blackwing. Exterior is identical to this car with the exception of the front caddy badge is blacked out. Interior is white and black and I went with the 10 speed. I have a terminator cobra with even more horsepower if I feel like rowing gears.
If I had the resources, I would pick this over the options from Germany. I owned a SL550 and I don't think I would ever own a Mercedes product again. It was a great car until it wasn't. The ABC suspension, ABS, and folding roof started wanting attention that required large sums of money.
$106,000 to Spend? C8, C8, C8, C8….. I’m leaning that way first! Ya Think? GT 500 Mustang or Dark Horse Dodge Challenger with the Large HP HEMI. I’m sort of loving the Caddy for the 688 HP, but no more Stick Cars at age 68. (Only Stick Car I’ve ever had: Showroom Floor 1975 Trans Am in Silver and underpowered 400 CID engine.) Honorable mention to the M4 or M5! Unfortunately, I’ve been hearing the BMWs are having too many plastic engine parts. Scotty K says stay away from BMWs. Need Deep Pockets for Maintenance and Repairs. Bought a 2013 328 X back in 2017 from a business associate of my wife. (We told him we get first dibs when he wants to sell it.) MSRP was $58,000. At the time we bought the car, it had 4,400 miles on the clock. We paid too much IMO at $36,000. But, the wife wanted that car. Now with it being 10 or 11 maybe even 12 years old, with 15,000 miles, Carvana offered just $17,000. The Beemer is in great condition. No issues, but we are losing over 50% and glad we didn’t buy it when NEW! I’m afraid the Caddie will not hold its value! I think it’s not that desirable for a lot of people. Very small target audience. I just pictured a Gray Haired Old Lady at the Beauty Shop, putting the Monster into 1st gear and running 688 horsepower full speed ahead into the front door of the shop! Dump that Clutch Grammy!!! NO, I will pass on the Caddie, not my cup of tea.
I have a c8 and a terminator cobra. All those bases are covered. I just bought a 2023 ct5 blackwing because it’s the best of both of those cars and I can daily drive it
V8 all the way, I own a 2018 CTS V, and it's a great car just missing those manual shifts. I'm not a fan of the fastback look of the CT5, but it's a heck of a car
Like everything but the price & wheels. The price is not bad but I'm cheep,I'm not spending over 70k for any car. Gotta have some gloss to the wheels, looks like a kid painted them flat black.
Do you own a CT5V Blackwing? If so, do you love it?

2023 CT5 V Blackwing, 10 speed auto.
Love it, can’t wait for warmer weather to get it back out.
I have an 18 ctsv. I was thinking about trading it in on a blackwing, but still have the cts.
I have yet to see a CT5-V Blackwing review where the reviewer did not laugh or giggle at some point. Probably the strongest compliment a car can get!

Want a cookie?
This is the greatest sedan ever made in my opinion.
I’m glad you enjoyed making the video Mike. It is a beast of a car. 😁 My damn radar detector kept going off.
I sure did, thanks again John! 😊🙌

@@jusapurepower3114 I totally get that, but the aggressive aero should be standard, not in CF but in a composite.

I would love to put these two cars next to each other! I just finished a 5400 mile road trip with my CT4V BW, it was so much fun!
I have this car and it’s absolutely amazing!

Great review, I would take the CT5V vs the CT4V but hey I like the LT4 rumble!

I love mine
All comes down to one’s budget. The 5 is basically 50% more over a well optioned 4.

Mike, thanks for the review! Could you do a review of the Escalade-V ESV?
They'll both be worth a lot of money one day
Curious what cars you reference when you said there are other cars for the money that are more fun that don't fit 4 people?
It’s like a luxury muscle car 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeppers! It was awesome!

good one
I know someone in these comments is a multimillionaire so please just buy me one. I would appreciate the shit outta this car 😂😂
The V6T has had problems while the LT4 is rock solid.
What problems?
CT5V would be a better selection, me personally. Very nice vehicle.
I dont own no cars but I knew about cars before the fast & furious came out I was watching cars racing before it came out👁️👀
Two different engine applications and cars. The Alpha chassis separates these cars from their European counterparts with neutral handling.
Sure enough.
Like the sleeper look...dont mind me as i blow by you ride

I really want to see the next Blackwing get the V8 from C8 Z06
lt4 engine.while you can still get one
The V6 twin turbo has more potential especially cheaper for upgrade
It’s a great engine, but you’re picking the wrong battle….LT4 is a legend
"A Corvette guy drives a CT5V Blackwing" and spends all of his time comparing it to the 3.6L TT V6 4 BW.........
Good point
😂😂😂the v8 is the better engine because it is a 6.3 Liter v8😂😂😂😂🙈💁😳
Forbid white colours for cars - it's just disgusting
