I’ve been trying to find HDMI solutions for all my systems lately, and this is easily the best Kaico HDMI adaptor. I hated the ps2 and n64 one. But this Dreamcast one is exceptional. I did order an HDMI modded n64 because i tried the Kaico and the super 64 and they both looked like garbage. I have the ossc for my ps2. Also have a retron5 for most games. Nes doesn’t always work so I’ll have to pull out my old nes and hook it up again and I have 32x games that I want to play so I have to find a place to plug in my CRT TV. But this HDMI adapter is great. It also doesn’t require a USB cord to power it like the ps2 and n64 Kaico adapters. Just plug and play.
I love mine but there is one annoying quirk. For me is that it breaks my TV's CEC functionality - I have to leave the hdmi disconnected from the TV and then CEC works
Ok so I have a question related to this but not about this. I just bought an Akura for my dreamcast and I’m using an optical disc drive emulator and I removed the +12v will I have to rein-able it
I have this and while it works great playing on the T.V., it is in no way compatible with HD60 model of the elgato capture cards. How did this guy record game footage, can someone tell me?
The HD60S supports 480p, at least from my experience. I use a Wii to HDMI adapter which outputs a resolution of 480p and I can see the image clearly, but it deactivates when switching between 50/60hz mode so you need to reactivate the capture card each time.
Thanks for the review :)

Will this work with a Dreampsu power supply?
Did you ever find an answer to your question? As I'm also in the same situation.
I ended up not doing the power supply mod.

Does el gato support 480p?
elgato is the only capture card in the world?

I get vertical "jailbars" whenever the screen fades and I can vaguely see them during regular play, any advice?
How does this look on a 2560x1440 monitor?
How did you capture the footage? I can see the game on my tv but not in slobs.
Did you work this out?
That did not work with mine. :(
What is your setup? Do you have GDEMU and Dreampsu installed?
How would this compare to my VGA to HDMI converter? I tried the pound cable and it was trash.
I heard it's better than the Pound cable.
pound cable is awful
How did you get the little blue light on the adapter to turn green?
The newer version has a blue light
