Which is better? Alaska or Hawaii?
Which two states should I compare next?
Edit: I accidentally said "Honohulu" instead of Honolulu. I make mistakes.

Anyway we have 2 or 3 guys who were homeless or borderline homeless sleeping people couches in Hawaii and they're working here for this season. Even tho you save money a philosophy is just sleep outside in Hawaii.. why spend it??? Pay $3/$400 night for a hotel... Why when it's 75/80 degrees in winter and you can sleep outside and pay $50/ month to take a shower at a health club. If I didn't already have a home in Florida I just might go to Hawaii in the winter and kind of live outside

A large chunk of Oahu is the Dole pineapple and C&H Sugar fields that are no longer used as shipping became too expensive, so SO many acres of land goes unused today... except for the unkept cane spider population.

Hey man love the video! Got a lot of Hawai’i’s history correct and thank you so much for helping show people who’ve probably never seen it before the culture of my beautiful home. However, I would’ve appreciated some correct pronunciations. It’s not hard, especially with the internet, to find how to say things correctly and it would go a long way towards stopping the mocking of the Hawaiian language and culture in American culture that’s been happing since since Hawai'i was discovered. Also, the Constitution signed in 1887 is known as the Bayonet Constitution because King Kalakaua was forced to sign it under literal threat of death by Bayonet. This video also shows a distinct lack of blame on the part of the US government in the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom whose troops were used to storm ‘Iolani Palace and de-throne Queen Lili’uokalani and while president Grover Cleveland recognized the evil deeds that happened to Hawai’i, president McKinley after him was much more in the American imperialism tradition and pressured congress to try and annex Hawai’i, failed in doing so, and eventually just took over Hawai’i from the white business owners who, backed by the US military, has taken it years earlier.

Hawaii is by far my favorite state I've visited. My wife and I have been twice (Big Island and Maui) and want to go again.
Alaska is on my bucket list too. I would love to drive there (from Texas!) but my wife prefers we just fly.

According to a RUclips channel I've seen in the past, Wonder Why, in his video "Winners and Losers, 50 US States," to give people an idea of how big Alaska is, if the state and islands of the state were overlaid on a map of the contiguous 48 States, the furthest Alutian Island, Atu, would be around San Francisco, California and the end of the panhandle would be around Jacksonville, Florida. He also did a section in that same video where the population and size of States would look if they were the same (in other words, for example if the 15th largest state was the 15th most populous state also). What he found was that if that was the case, Rhode Island, for example would take the spot of Hawaii as an island state, and California would "get the raw deal by taking the place of Alaska,"
Side note, Hyder, Alaska, is a town in Alaska that goes nowhere in Alaska. The only roads in and out come from Canada

Thanks for sharing all that. Fascinating stuff, especially about the San Francisco to Jacksonville distance of Alaska.

One thing: The median household income in Hawai'i only is higher than in Alaska because the average household is much larger, the second highest in the Nation after Utah.
Per Capita, Alaska's GDP and annual income are actually higher than Hawai'i's

Mr. Beats "Native Alaskan" is not an ethnic group, it is a term used to refer to people born physically in Alaska. "Alaska Native" is the term for all indigenous people from Alaska which includes many different ethnic groups.
