In this upside down traumatized world it feels sadly very uncommon, yet always so comforting, to hear two sincere guys having such a very thoughtful and very respectful public conversation - especially about such difficult topics and realities of this life that are close to their hearts, without making it about their egos.

There's so many more people like this in the world! The media only focuses on racism, hate, abortions, transgendering, and division of red and blue.
Or diversity that purposely causes division, like drag queens, pronouns for little kindergartens.
It's ALL to create division of opinions instead of agreeing.
Sooo many people, unrecognized, God loving, caring and acceptable people.

I searched for 8 years. I arrived in San Angelo in 2014. Having seen his name in a local news article and his case- I became quite curious. In fact, @LordanArts, your video on the case and maps- were what drew me in and I became an instant fan and subscriber. I printed out the maps, and once a month as I traveled to Abilene, I'd stop and search- I even started asking people in Bronte questions and trying to make it make sense. I did this over and over, trying to build rapport with folks. I was given info by some, others sure as heck didn't want me sticking my nose into that little town's business. Not gonna lie, I got some surely crooked looks and folks that made that clear! I moved away in late 2021, but I have never stopped wondering what happened. I was releived they found him- but it still doesn't sit right with me, how some people clammed up and stonewalled my research.

@Not Chins Tracy pieces of his remains/clothes were found on private property that hadn't yet been searched because the owners live out of state. He wasn't too far off from his last known position. With how high he was off meth it isn't surprising he was acting so paranoid, and speaking out of breath and scared. He probably became dehydrated which caused his kidneys to fail. Lost consciousness, and died. Ended up being food for the wild life.

Jason is a hero, really. What he’s done goes beyond Brandon & his family, its inspired other organizers & searches (& probably families).
I know if you talked to him on August 8th, 2013, he never would have expected this. His life was changed and he’s become a very well known, well respected figure in the true crime community. I even met a few girls with crushes.
He’s a rock star but instead of giving music to the world he’s giving hope.

IMO his brother Kyle's interview (Crawlspace podcast) provides the best context to what happened than any other analysis of this story, including the 911 call. Just in the first five minutes he relates that two days before the "incident" Brandon hooked up with his dope dealer "to get high", and from that moment on, was hard to get hold of (according to Kyle) and acting erratic and agitated, all the way up to his disappearance. I think he was given some bad dope and and it caused his crazed, paranoid behavior over the next couple days, culminating in him freaking out in the middle of the night and thinking there were people out to get him. In the end I believe his paranoid state caused him to run off into the desert and he ultimately died of exposure and dehydration.

I have been intrigued by the Brandon Lawson case for such a long time and what happened to him after that phone call and now that his remains have been found it at least brings some sort of comfort for his family although it's still not clear exactly how he died I feel he was either being chased that night and was frantically calling for help on his phone but was then caught by the people chasing him and they murdered him or else he was suffering from paronia after taking a substance of some sort and wandered off and ended up succumbing to the elements I feel those are the 2 logical outcomes about how he met his death hopefully that bit gets completely solved in the future

Beyond stunned , John. And the way it’s phrased right here 53:54 is very fitting. Now that he’s found, IMO, once all the evidence recovered from this search is fully analyzed, a special Think tank could piece together that night. Like said in this discussion, forensic + archeological science has come so far in 2023,,,IMO, enough is found to still determine BL’s plight - if his death was criminal, or natural.

I subscribed. I'm familiar with this case. And realize how difficult it is searching Private Lands with Volunteers? There are Liabilities?
However, Jason's approach was very smart!
Jason Watts is an amazing man and friend.
This just goes to show that never giving up researching ideas and never assuming something was already done or a place was already searched?
Brandon could have been attacked by a wild hog?
I've heard of people getting tangled in cachilla cactus which is worse than a briar bush or tangle of barbed wire?
What terrible shame to loose his life so close to home?
Jason was so smart to wait until the grasses died down in Winter, early Spring to do the searches?

I cannot imagine that a landowner would not allow for someone to search their land....not hunt or destroy..but just to search for a loved one whose possessions (truck) was left in the vicinity. I think that is so cruel, and could have spared his loved ones lots of grief early on. The not knowing is the worst. Very good and compassionate coverage, but Lordanarts always is compassionate.

I had three cases I prayed would be solved (fully to an identification).
The Boy In The Box (Joseph Zarelli)
    Brandon Lawson
    Donnie Messier
Within one year, each had a major update!💚
It’s time to pick my next three cases that I want solved. I don’t want to sound rude, but Brandon had a gorgeous smile!
Adding: when she says do you need an ambulance or something like that, he says ‘yes’, then corrects himself & says ‘no I need police’. People have said a lot that he was talking to someone with him. I’ve made this mistake plenty. I think he was alone. And that sounds like a big truck driving over a bridge. Not a gunshot. And if I’m not mistaken, he said to Kyle in that interview, ‘where’s you’re pride mother f^cker’.
Edited to add: you never know that one thing you do for someone that you wouldn’t think of or knew how it would impact someone for the rest of their life.
I had a guy named Darryl help me b/c my middle/high school kids were so horrible to each other & he stepped in to help me. I’ve never forgot that. And sadly he won’t ever know b/c he killed himself a few months later.
If someone says I can’t find this person, can I search your property, I’d say without hesitation, ‘absolutely & I’ll help’. I’d be so grief stricken, if someone was on my property and they could have been saved, or their body could have been found faster. That land owner is a blessing! Wait a minute: I would mail him the key to the gate & had him mail it back after.
***Jason, you are a stand up guy, so proud of what a good friend/ person you are***
OMG that comment about not stopping the search due to weather made me just cry my eyes out. I would have done the same.

I agree with all points, but I would have searchers sign a waiver if it were my property. We’re talking overgrown wilderness & holes.
I wouldn’t want inexperienced people running around, or families (I’ve seen families searching for missing kids in city park environments. I guess it teaches the kids to care & be active, but I also immediately think “God I hope they don’t find anything that kid shouldn’t see).
But people familiar with the terrain who agree not to sue if they twist an ankle? Absolutely. I’d come down to serve cold drinks. If it’s too far, I’d send pizza.
I get property owners wanting to protect themselves, and they can easily write up a waiver, but I can’t imagine blocking an organized search.
I think this case may have been the first time that I thought about it through the landowner point of view. I just couldn’t understand blocking searchers at first.

@@gypsydonovan~ Absolutely agree. In a comment of mine about a year or two ago, I said I’d have them sign a waiver. I just didn’t say it in this comment. But I could never ever live with myself if I said no & he was on my property. Nothing to see on my property but holes my dogs dig & a hobbit hole house. I’m so glad he was found! But all 3 I hoped for in a matter of months! It gave me the chills. (Not all solved, but at least a huge update & ID).

    • @RileyCullen1
      @RileyCullen1 Год назад

@@UnassimilatedRG~ Joseph’s case bothered me b/c I had a grandson (I still do, (I now have 6 grandsons & 1 granddaughter) but that age & look), Jayden looked like him. And I thought ‘you SOB how dare you hurt him, kill him, sexually abuse him, leave him naked & alone). I still tear up/cry for him. Any kid. But when they look like one of your family members, it gets me even more. I thought his killer would be dead & burning in Hell, by now. But for me, just getting his name back was a win in my mind. What was it like 60 years with no name & he was 4. Heart breaking.
Donnie’s case is close to me b/c he went missing 1/10 of a mile from my house. His truck was found 20 mins down the road in the river, but he’s not found. But his family told Adventures With Purpose to count it as a ‘solved case’. So I’m that’s where that has to stay until he is found. And Brandon being found is another.
I do care about missing people & think they shouldn’t be, by someone else’s hands. Or by an accident. But a few will always hit you hard. There is a case of a lady, but I’ve got two more cases if someone wants to suggest for me.
Anyone heard of a mom with 3 daughters, went to Harvard or Yale. A African American lady named Shanaynay Brown I think? Spelling might be wrong. From down south I think. Ayla Reynold’s case as well.
Edited to add: I’m an idiot. Brianna Maitland was who I was thinking of but was in the land of no where. She’s from my state.

We don't get that kind of patience with a lot of interviewers.

Most of my life I’ve had a true passion for true crime, crime mystery, but my primary focus always on mysteries disappearances. As an Austin, TX native, the cases that have stuck with me the most have been Brandon Lawson’s and in the recent years, Jason Landry’s. The local authorities dropped the ball on this case from the start!!
Literally a mile away from this man’s truck and it took a dude that knew this guy in HS, his years of commitment, determination, and a group of kind hearted volunteers part of one day, all these years later to find him? Perhaps his life could of been saved had real efforts been made by local authorities from the start. Or at the very least this family could of had closure, Brandon laid to rest sooner, and way more answers to what happened to him that night, had things been done properly from the start!!! I’m glad confirmation has been made of what we all knew, that he was out there somewhere. But we will never know what truly happened that night. If it weren’t for Jason Watts, finding him would of never been possible. Great job on all your hard work and dedication!!! I truly believe you will also find Jason Landry!

Brandon said: "The State Police just pulled some guys over." He just slurred it in a Texas accent while he was hurriedly talking to 911. Now, if indeed the Texas State Police really did pull some guys over, there should be a record of that in the Highway Patrol logs somewhere. Where are those, and why haven't we seen them yet?
