    The people that disposed of her tried to get that car out of the yard there, the guy backed it up into the house and it got stuck so they left it. It wasn't staged, it was abandoned. The seat was shown to be moved back for a taller person and some of the items from the car were found outside the door.

  • @elizabethlee1706
    @elizabethlee1706 Год назад +11

    While the car could have been staged, my first thought is that maybe someone could have blocked the road as she was driving home and maybe she could have backed the car into the building trying to turn around and get away from these people or this person. As far as not fighting back, she may have taken the martial arts classes to learn self defense because of a threatening situation. There are actually 3 instinctual responses to threats: fight and flight which are well-known, and the freeze response, a lesser known response to threats. A person who is out-numbered or threatened with a weapon could be more likely to freeze. This makes me wonder where the sympathies lay in all of the witnesses to the attack. Obviously, no one stopped the agressor before she had caused Brianna a concussion😢. I think the attack is highly likely tied to the disappearance. It seems like more than one person could have been involved. The person or persons involved did not take the checks. They were there to get Brianna and seemed to know where she would be in a vulnerable position. How would some random motorist know that this vehicle has a young lady driving home? I am sure the police have thought of all this. I think that there is at least one, but probably more people who know what happened to her. 😢

    • @richardknott4626
      @richardknott4626 Месяц назад

      A really good take! I think a key point though is how did she lose control of the car? If turning around to get away, she still could have locked the doors. And if the car was stuck, why not some tire spin out on the ground to get unstuck?

    James denied everything at questioning. Then says he was out there, saw Miss Maitland's car, closes the doors and turns off the lights, goes home, and admits to not reporting it because he was drunk?

    A few issues w roommate: 12:08 - Brianna leaves note for her roommate saying she will see her after work but roommate doesn’t see note cuz goes away for weekend so no one realizes Brianna is missing until days later. So roommate never mentioned to Brianna she was going away for a few days? That doesn’t make sense. Also, 13:42 - when the roommate gets back home n Brianna isn’t there, she automatically assumes Brianna moved back in with her parents. Why would she assume that? Brianna didn’t move her stuff out… and hadn’t mentioned moving out.. yet roommate thinks she moved out? And Brianna parents lived in a different town so it’s not like roommate thought Brianna just went home for a night or 2. She thought she moved out. Without any belongings or saying a word. Roommate sounds super sketch. 25:33 - another discrepancy w roommate. Friends say Brianna was starting to hang w wrong ppl but roommate (Gillianne) claims Brianna wasn’t like that with her n was quiet/liked to stay home n read. Maybe Gillianne is one of the bad ppl Brianna’s other friends were referring to and Gillianne is lying about how Brianna was into to cover her own ass.

I’ve lived in Vermont my entire 44 years & I know a lot of people & everyday I’m at the store, I see new faces I’ve never seen before. That space is mountains & trees. A lot of 2nd houses for skiers/snow boarders. And it’s pronounced (St Albans)- Saint ALL-BINS. And Berkshire is Burke-SHEER not Shire like Frodo & Bilbo’s shire.

    Sadly, I think the obvious is what happened here (think horses, not zebras) - I think a lone man snatched her to assault her. Someone local who knew and watched her for a while.
    And yes, at least one other person knows or suspects (like a Mother - who washed bloody clothes or saw her son's obsession with the case on TV etc)
    If that one person is brave, I think the truth will eventually come out - although it may take another decade or so - and I pray whoever they tell (care home worker? Nurse?) tells Bruce. No matter how unlikely or farfetched they think it is.
    Also, I don't think the car is staged. I've done almost exactly the same thing when I was a young inexperienced driver and got a bad vibe on a dark night while looking for a house party, and saw some sketchy aggressive people lurking around the side street of the house 🤷🏽‍♀️

    James definitely has more involvement. A truck was spotted near there and called in. He wasn't worried enough to look for her at all? Call her or her roommate to make sure shes ok? The roommate kicked her out after the fight? Sounds like Keely (jealous ex), James (now ex-boyfriend) and the ex roomie (keelys friend, possibly jealous or ...) had some retaliation for Bri filing charges. The drug life was just a cover for them. They probably ran her off the road and backed into the barn to cover up the damage. Knowing she was trained took her with/threatened a weapon.

    The only thing that makes sense to me with her car being backed up, is that somebody in a car was waiting for her to drive by on the road a little beyond the barn. I would think that person drove onto her road when she came, and blocked her way. And that she backed up to get away from that person. Maybe it was slippery, ice on the way, or she panicked? And she drove into the barn backwards. If that person had a gun, martial arts are not going to help much.. I really hope the truth will come out soon, of what happened to her, so that her loved ones can find some peace. You mention Brandon Lawson, I believe he was shot. I'm happy that at least they found his remains, and his family can start mourning him.

    The police screwed up this case. You would think it could have been solved soon after the car was discovered. The State Trooper didn't think much of it and didn't treat it as a crime scene. When in doubt you should always treat it as a crime scene, no harm done if discovered it wasn't. The car parked in such a way and her necklace found on the ground, personal items in the car, especially contact lenses and a prescription, doesn't look suspicious to the Trooper. Did he even check the driver's seat if it was moved to allow a taller person to drive. Now the ex boyfriend who could have been involved is dead so we will never know. All these years and the poor parents have to go through suffering of not knowing what happened, why and where her remains are because of incompetent police work. I always say you can get away with murder if the police are not qualified.
    The ex female friend/ roommate who assaulted her could be involved also, especially when she was charged with that crime. That's a reason to get rid of someone, she may have an alibi however alibi's can be broken.

    Bruce used this tragedy to make something great in his daughter's memory. I'm wondering if someone hit the back of her car to get her to stop. Once they got her to stop they took her and then backed her car into the building so it would look like she ran into the building and wouldn't know another vehicle was involved. I hope they still have the vehicle and can check to see if any other paint is on the vehicle. If she moved away to start over she would have taken or cashed her checks. You need money to start over. Did her exboyfriend James come up this story about seeing the car and shutting off the lights because he knew his DNA would show up? Someone knows what happened and they are protecting people. I hope Bruce and his family get some answers.

    I've personally seen two accidents where people lost control of their cars, the cars spun 180, maintained their momentum and then slammed into something.
    One was on a highway during rain and the guy rammed into a wall backwards. Another was in a neighborhood, and the car actually crossed a yard and went backwards through the front door of a house of a family that was out of town for Thanksgiving (this was the night before Thanksgiving).

She may have met someone there, and they blocked her in, things went awry, and she tried to get out of there quickly, backing into the building. I'm imagining a scenario of a vengeful girl and the boyfriend that had been fought over, maybe in a truck or car, following Brianna from her job, and cutting her up along that road. I imagine Brianna slamming on her brakes, seeing the two of them coming to the car, reversing her car to try and do a turn onto the road, back in the direction of her work, the front wheels are slightly turned as if trying to do a sharp turn back down the road from the direction she had come... but in a panic overshooting and backing into the building, when the boy opens one car door, and Brianna runs out of, or is dragged out of the other. .. is caught, and bundled into the waiting car or truck. We've heard of this kind of revenge before, with girls recruiting boyfriends to help them to show their 'loyalty'. If James happened to want to be back with Keallie, maybe its something he would have done with her. This explains him needing to place himself at the car, if he was the one to drag Brianna out of it. I dont care how good a person is at Martial arts, two people, especially if one is a male, are going to overpower you. I think Brianna was murdered and dumped/concealed somewhere. Just me imagining a scenario, of course...

    Trying to understand how an abduction would transpire given the set up: Assuming Brianna drove alone from the Black Lantern, about a mile away toward her lodging that night, and near the Dutchburn intersection and at the Dutchburn abandoned building, how was she physically abducted? If she encountered someone threatening while driving in the car at that intersection, she could have at least locked her doors and maybe sped away. The first person at the car--her ex-boyfriend--claims both side doors were open with the headlights on. Assuming she stopped at the building, she still could have locked the doors to some threat. How did the abductor/s get in the car? She would have had to meet someone she did not find threatening at first, and as that interaction progressed, lost control of the keys, or let the person/s into her car. I don't know how to make sense of the car backed into the building, unless staged, in which case she could have been abducted elsewhere. If she was alone in the car, and backed into the building, she still could have locked her doors. Assuming someone was already in the car hiding when she got in to leave the restaurant could explain how she lost control, but yet the car's interior showed no signs of struggle. I suspect she stopped and met someone, and lost control of the car in that interaction. The car position was then staged, but I don't understand why positioned the way it was. Why would abductors leave the headlights on, drawing attention?
