very pretty village with several white half-timbered houses, like in Normandy and with thatched roofs.
it is really the particularity of this charming village.
This gives it a very special clarity and luminosity.
The countryside is magnificent.

These villages & ancient homes give me chills. I feel out of place with the modern world & feel like I have arrived home when walking in a rural old village such as this one. I imagine myself there when no cars, planes or trains existed & I can only imagine the peace & serenity that once abided there. I’m a firm believer I once lived in a village such as this in a past life as it pulls at my heartstrings so. Thank you for taking me with you on these walks, I can escape with these into the past 🥰

I found the grave yard interesting. Love the daffodils. That thatched roof that was a lighter colour what would be used to be that colour?.
The lighter colour is because they recently renewed it. It will go a darker colour over time.

Thatched cottages are nice but I prefer Tudor houses 😂
Hi! As always another stunning vudeo by you of a lovely quiet and neat village. Did i hear someone or you say Guten Morgen?!
A suggestion if I may? The little nuggets of information that pop up on the screen are very easy to miss....the fonts seem too small and it sort of merges into the background becauae they are in white. Could you please make it more visible? Perhaps bigger fonts in a different color? Or maybe even a black background and superimpose the information on it?

Can someone tell what they use on their roofs?
It’s called thatch, which is mainly dried out straw and heather. Most of the houses here are 500 years old and older, and this is what the roofs were covered in way back then. The roofs last for around 30-40 years and then have to be replaced
