- Walk along in Duntisbourne Leer Cotswolds. The Cotswolds is a picturesque area in south-central England known for its rolling hills, beautiful countryside, and charming villages.
The village was recorded as Duntesborne in the Domesday Book, the name coming from the Old English for "Dunt's stream". Duntisbourne Leer sits in 'The Duntisbournes' parish, a string of four pretty villages along the valley of the Dunt Stream.

You've done it yet again mate another amazing video. The dove cots,(missing stones) in a couple of the older cottages are where pigeons were allowed to nest, providing meat/protein for the cottages. It shows how desperate they were for meat, can you imagine the constant "squabbling" noise they created!! Further on I am sure the big barn with quartered doors would have originally been the "threshing barn" where literally, wheat was threshed/beaten separating the wheat from the chaff. Big open doors on both sides of the barn were needed as the chaff beIng lIghter than the graIn, would be separated, and blown out of the barn. I hope I am not preaching to the converted, it's just that these brought back many memories for me. Finally, you captured the old VC, Queen Victoria Reign post box with the hatch that had to be lifted to determine only letters could go through as anything larger would cause problems on horseback.
